I work in the area and popped in on a day they had the $4 pour burger special. At that price I expected a frozen patty but much to my surprise it wasn't, or definitely didn't taste like one! I added bacon and grilled onions & everything was absolutely delicious. I loved the vibe as well.. my husband and I took up a table on the bar side of the place & shot a game of pool while we waited for our burger. This place is a bar with food. The outside is clean. There is an entrance in the front and on the side. Several tvs for watching sports. As I don't drink much, the drinks I have had were good. Just the right amount of alcohol. The food is outstanding. The burgers are delicious! They do offer daily specials, and their burgers are one of them. The only problem is they upsell for everything that is added, so I'm not sure it's really a deal. At least offer the basics, lettuce, and maybe tomato and onion. I'll also recommend the potato salad. The loaded totchos are hands down my favorite! My grown kids like the Mac n cheese with bacon and tots and chicken strips, both of which are add-on options. You can dine in or take to go. We've also enjoyed brunch, and that didn't disappoint either. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. There are a couple of pool tables, dart boards, and some gaming in the front and some space out back to hang out. I would highly recommend a visit for a burger. read more

This is my second time visiting Johnny Z Poir Hoise and each time I received excellent food and service.

We ordered carry out from here last week and it was great! Our order consisted of Pour House burgers and a Chicken Parmesan sandwich. All came with a side of choice (we got fries & tots) and then we ordered a Mac & Cheese to split, also delicious and plenty of food to go around. Wow! I had the most AMAZING BLT I have ever had in my life! You think BLT you think "nothing to it"...these folks just enhanced it by adding Avocado, the most crisp romaine, I l believe it is a garlic Mayo or something... I don't know but the flavors just worked! They took a "meh" sandwich to the next level! So many places have their own variations of the BLT. This one is HANDS DOWN my FAVORITE! The service was fantastic! My friends had burgers and a crispy chicken sandwich and they all said their meals were AMAZING! I wish I would have taken pictures of our food! Next time! ;) The pub itself is so clean and just a fun atmosphere. Their apps are delish there is a delicious shrimp appetizer, TRY IT! I guess my only "I wish" out of this whole experience is that you had a few more app options. Maybe a large pretzel and cheese. WONTON mozzarella sticks, some sort of cheese dip served with pita chips?!?!? Just suggestions ;) keep your cheese curds and shrimp though! There has been a lot of construction on their road but don't be fooled, they are still OPEN and ready to serve. They have nice outdoor seating! Good food, fair service but definitely an adult establishment. The potty mouth on the barkeep and a few others was offensive, but I'll admit to have gentle ears. My hubby, who isn't usually bothered by such language even said it was "tough". Every other word was f***. Mind you, she didn't curse while speaking to us, but the guests sitting two stools down were well inebriated, and continued to be served shots while having a lively conversation with the barkeep. Went to Johnny'Z for the first time and it was amazing. We ordered shrimp tacos, chicken wrap, burger, totchos, and guac. Everything tasted amazing. We visited Johnny'Z this past weekend to hear a band that we follow. The layout of the tavern/dining area just doesn't lend itself to live performances- the general arrangement of the tables and chairs is also poor. It's nearly impossible to 'get' anywhere (such as the washroom) without a certain number of people having to move so that you can get past. Beer selection- not bad but on the night we visited a significant number of beers listed on their website were not available. Worst thing about the visit- they have a large 'garage door' type window that looks out on to the patio. It was open all night to let in bugs and such. Unpleasant when you are trying to enjoy a meal! Unlikely that we will be back. read more

Stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night to try for the first time. Not a really big place, with some seating inside and outside and seats at the bar. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away and the bartender took our drink orders. Drinks were made well and the staff was very friendly. Andy did a great job and was very hospitable. We decided to order the Pour burgers, her with coleslaw and I with tator tots. Both came with cheese, bacon, chipotle aioli, tomatoes, onions and pickles. We both ordered these medium rare. When we received our selections they looked big and very appealing. The burgers were very juicy, seasoned good and cooked not medium rare, but didn't matter cause they were SO good. Not your typical hamburger buns on these either, very fluffy and toasted lightlThe coleslaw was really flavorful and the tots were cooked perfectly. This meal was wonderful, and we look forward to trying more of their menu selections, like the fish tacos and the Mac and Cheese. Update: Went back for Friday fish fry and it was well worth it. Good sized portions of fish, along with a tasty aioli, fries and coleslaw. She ordered fish tacos, and they were also amazing. read more

Just down Sheridan Road, you will find an AMAZING Bar & Grill, Johnny'Z Pour House. This was an exciting episode for me to film as the environment was just as fun as the food! With that said, I tried out their Shrimp appetizer which was just OUTSTANDING. They have a Taco Tuesday Special where they actually can add some of the shrimp into the dish. Such a great spot! The food is delicious, and the service is great. I highly recommend stopping by during happy hour, or for their weekly specials at any time. Wasn't that busy in there, I didn't think. Took 15 - 20 min to get a drink and put in a food order because the one bartender was having conversations with patrons, while the other one was outside smoking weed with friends in the back patio area. The back window was open so the whole place smelled of it especially once the "party" came back inside. The food is usually good, but the order came through wrong, we just said f it, and paid and left. I was there many times in the past, but it is a shame that one time can ruin a good place. Had a bad experience here on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy but seemed manageable. Staff acknowledge us and took our drink orders promptly and this is where the bad service begins. The bar tenders takes my wifes order but forgets to ask me for mine. She put her order into the POS system then i have to call her back to order my food. Then some how my food (the big chicken dinner) comes out before her food. I am not talk about a minuet or two. I am talking like i could have been done with my food before hers (mac and cheese). Also people that arrived after us got their food before my wife. Decent beer selection. The portions are generous and everything tasted fine but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. The server apologized but didn't offer a free drink. We will try this place again but probably not when its busy. read more

We are more than pleased with their beer selection, and staff, even though they seem short-handed most of the time, definitely hustles to take care of you. Probably the worst customer service I've experienced in recent memory. A Saturday night dinner and drinks with the hubby- arrived just before 8pm. The gal that handled our initial drink order was great- then she took the other side of the bar and our satisfaction tanked. Our bartender took my food order, then walked away before my husband could order to put my order in the computer. We had to flag her down to tell her his order and add it to our tab. There was nothing else going on in her service area to bog her down or that needed any urgent attention. 2 more couples and a single came in and sat in our bar section, they all ordered. After 15 minutes(absolutely reasonable, no complaints) my husband's food came out. I got nothing. No apologies, no meal. The bartender didn't notice or approach me about it until 10 minutes later when the food for everyone that came after us was served and they were eating. She either hadn't noticed or was avoiding us. She said something I couldn't hear and pointed towards the back, and rushed away before we could ask her to repeat what she said or tell her to cancel my order. At two points during this time, the individual who I believe was the cook came out and they happily mingled twice at the beer cooler. 20 minutes after my husbands meal arrived, so did my partially cooked Mac n cheese.
