My Nissan failed to start from time to time so I took it in to John's auto to get it diagnosed and they said my car needed a new engine and would cost between $5,000 and $6,000 to get it back running. I did not believe them. For I'd just returned from a trip. So, i hauled my car away to the Nissan dealership here in Yuma and they said the same thing. I still did not believe them either. Later on, I put my car up for sale, as is, for $1,000 To a mechanic and it took him Les than an hour to fix. He went to buy some relay that goes next to the air intake and drove away To clean it up. Next day, he sold it for $2,000. What do facts tell about "Honest" mechanics??. I'll let figure it out. But, I won't ever go back to neither business for Mechanical services. read more

I sent my car in because the battery wouldn't charge that was the only thing that was wrong with it . I was calling in several times to check on the status of the vehicle and they said they are still working on it . Which is understandable but I do like some updates . They did find that it was a 100 amp fused that was replaced and they did fix it . But the day of going to retrieve it the told my that my radio and Abs was not working along with a list of other codes . They informed me that they had to access my computer and that the radio was never working this is a lie a classic example of mechanics word vs customer My jeep is currently at the jeep dealer fixing the issues they caused. Although they will not admit My jeep is a 2019 jeep grand Cherokee if you have anything to do with computer I would not recommend. I am sure they they are good at hardware but I will not be using again Also upon paying with a debit card the guys says that technically a debit card is not legal tender and he doesn't have to take its I became upset and took back my debit card walk to the navy federal bank down the street and paid in cash This may be a one off scenario but I am just sharing my experience for anyone with computer or electronics issue as I still paid 426.000 and I am still going to have to pay what ever the jeep dealership charges read more

This is a family business run by John and (I think) Dan a father and son Duo. I dealt mostly with John but Dan helped me when I went back. I have two leaking exhaust manifolds on my 2016 Dodge Ram. I got a ton of miles on the thing but nonetheless it was surprising to have this issue. It was originally diagnosed at shop in San Diego. When I brought it into John's he told me he didn't the issue I was having was an exhaust leak but he asked me if I mostly heard the noise when the vehicle was started and cold. I said yes, and he said he would need to keep the truck a little longer to let it cool down so he could re-evaluate it. He called me later that day and told me that, yes the exhaust manifolds were leaking. This was nice because he didn't jump on trying to fix something that may not have needed to be fixed. My initial impression was that he was honest. They do the work and had a rough time with my truck because in extracting the exhaust manifold studs one broke on each side. Sometimes if this happens the engine needs to get pulled, and he made every effort to not have to do this. He had my truck a little longer than expected but the work got done and I was pretty happy. A couple days went by and I noticed a rubbing sound when I would back up with the wheel cranked all the way to one way. It seemed like the inner fender was missing a screw or screw(s). I went back in and told John and said that their may be an issue because the guy who worked on it had recently been let go. This was a little disconcerting but he stated he would stand by his work and he did. His son, Dan, helped me with this, walked me through which crew was missing, that he went through the truck and verified that nothing else was missing. Throughout this whole experience, both guys were professional and courteous. I would go back here and suggest this place to others. read more

I had my car towed to this shop based on the reviews on yelp. Please do not take your car here. I needed to fix the radiator hoses and was charged 209$ just to tell me it was the hoses when you could look at it and know it had to do with the radiator. The fluid was all over the engine and we told him what happened. Our bill came to almost 600? to change a few hoses. We did need more work done on our Camaro but we will take to a honest shop for that. To top off our experience when I called back to have him explain the bill he was rude and kept saying if I didn't quit talking he would hang up like that mattered he already had our money. Here we go again. My Jeep has been down now for months again with the clutch still out....still pooring money into what Johns Auto pretended they could fix and happily taking our thousand dollars. Last time we got it back again with the promise that the clutch was now fine..now has an exhaust leak and sounds like an old VW bug and every bolt and nut was stripped and rounded out...not to mention grease all over the seats and door panels. Jeep down now again for 5 months....clutch still not fixed and spending hundreds trying to fix all of Johns auto mistakes. If you need an oil change...windshield wipers replaced or a headlight fixed then i still wouldnt recommend them do yourself and your wallet a favor and go somewhere else. I personally despise picking my jeep up from a mechanic for the 4TH time and having to pull over on the freeway within 5 minutes because my clutch went out...absolutely ridiculous. i took my suburban to JOHNS AUTO SERVICE on 22nd st. to fix my fuel pump they charged me $743 to fix it and that included a diagnostic as well.. when i got my car back i notice it was very shaky specially when i would press on the gas pedal .. i went back to let them know how they had returned the car to me and they told me that the car came in like that and there is nothing they can do about it. ...they also said they would charge and additional $80 to check it again..and they would fix it for an additional $300 or more if that wasnt the problem.... before i took my car to them my car was not shaky and running great.. i am not satisfied and will never recomed anyone to go there.. now i have to fix the problem they caused to my car... read more
