When I first started having car trouble after moving to Yuma, I received two separate recommendations for Accurate Automotive--one from a stranger on Nextdoor and another from my friend and neighbor. I definitely understand why they came so highly recommended! Service Advisor Joe Lopez is absolutely wonderful. Not only is he attentive to his customers' needs, but he goes out of his way to follow up after repairs to make sure my car is running properly and that everything is working as it should. In the past, I have been somewhat distrustful of automotive repair shops after being told I needed repairs that later proved to be unnecessary. That has not been my experience here. I currently have three cars. Accurate is the only place I take them. Work is excellent, customer service is beyond reproach. Prices are right in line with any other place you call. Work IS guaranteed. Never had an issue with any service provided. If an issue does arise it is taken care of immediately without extra cost. Only time there was an issue it was with the manufacturer of the item and not with Accurate. Two years later, brought the car back in, they replaced the item free of charge. For my older car (1966), I take it out to their Foothills shop where the mechanics know how to fix it correctly. No where to plug-in a computer and get a read out. Friends and acquaintances ask about auto repair or towing; there is only one place that gets recommended. Have used Accurate Automotive Attention for over 25 years and have never been let down. My serpentine belt had been making a slightly annoying chirping sound after starting up for a couple of weeks. I decided to take it to Accurate Automotive to replace. They charged me $400 dollars to replace the belt and pulley. The next day, my A/C completely stopped blowing cold air, and there were rubber shavings all around the pulley and belt. I explained this to the shop, and brought it in for them to look at. A couple hours later they texted me with a quote for $1200 dollars to replace the thermostat housing unit with $800 in labor alone. When I asked about the belt, and how that could have affected the A/C, they denied ever seeing the shavings and that they must have been from the last belt. Could just be terrible luck on my part, but it certainly didn't sit well with me. Would not recommend to anyone. I saw the shavings with my own two eyes ONLY after they replaced the belt. I've been waiting for a call from "Jeff" for several weeks ( must be busy). The guy who ask to hear concerns is no longer there ( just on TV commercials (?)). I'm not going back to accurate. Here are some of the events for my decision; I paid $175 for replacement of headlight " bulb"! Note I was informed of " troubleshooting " as follows " we checked the bulb, then troubleshooting, replaced the bulb " and it worked! ($175), I made ( though I did) prearranged maintenance for oil change and replace fuel filter, provided the filter ( $60 labor quote) and 1 quart of oil treatment. Upon reviewing and inquiring paperwork of maintenance, ended up paying $89 for filler the reason being " upon looking in the book the suggested cost was more! I'd ask " Jeff"( if he'd call several weeks ago), what's the purpose of conferring with service advisor " prior to maintenance "??? But Heads-up, not burning hand and cracking dash ( because popping up my dash cover is " uncommon practice) (?) But oily hand prints on hood, driver ( inside & out) door tells me that " I'm driving my piece of crap for Wheel of Fortu e maintenance " at AAA designated garage at other than " high school auto shop costs ". My fault for thinking donuts made up for my maintenance request and I guess I'll buy 4 more oil quarts for the next mechanic ‍ read more

Outstanding experiences! I have a Corolla that I hadn't been driving too much these past few years. I need to start driving it more often now and will be doing some long distance driving so I took my car in to have a health inspection done. Joe received me at the front end and right off the bat, he made me feel confident that I was at the right place. Got right to the point and his communication to me about my car and services was EXCELLENT. I'm no expert when it comes to cars, but know enough to have an idea of what services might need to be performed on my car when the time comes. The team covered all bases and pinpointed all services that I had a feeling needed to be done at this point, and that alone really proved to me that they are honest and trustworthy, get right to the point, and aren't looking to rip the customer off or waste anybody's time. This is literally one of the first shops that I've been to that actually had me feeling confident in their services and quality of work. My car runs beautifully now and I actually feel like I can rest assured that my old reliable Corolla and myself are in good hands when in need. I went there as they have a good reputation. But, when my AC broke they wanted to change the complete system ($2000+++) instead of just changing the compressor. George said that was the only way they could guarantee it. They diagnosed it to be the clutch so installing a new AC compressor and clutch would have fixed it. I went to another shop who installed a new Honda compressor and clutch unit for $850. Guaranteed for life! I won't be back. read more

Brought the car in like you said at 8:00 in the morning. They looked at it for 10 minutes, charged me $90 and told me to go to the Audi dealership in Phoenix or San Diego. For the past 18 years years, we have been participating in the MATO car show at the Caballero Park ball fields in early March. There is always something that is breaking on our old cars with their old technology. If not one of them, then it's a tow vehicle... or even a problem with the hotel room we booked, or weather, or insects, or one got sick and we all got sick, or decades ago; burning cabbage fields! Always something. This year as my husband's best friend, D, pulled into Sam's Club to fill his '67 Mustang with gas, the trouble started. It was the first evening of the show (last Thursday) and many of the old cars fill Main Street in downtown Yuma for a few hours. We have to get there by mid-afternoon just to be able to park close to the center of the Historic District. After paying for the gas, D got back in his car and it wouldn't start. Dead. Nothing. It wouldn't be the first time we've missed all or part of the show due to car troubles. Or had to have a car flat-bedded home. We checked the battery and it was fine. We even got a solenoid from NAPA to replace the existing one, thinking that might be the problem. Nope. We ran out of DIY options. D's brother got online, found Accurate Automotive, and at 4:30pm, D called them and described the problem. They told him to bring the Mustang over Friday morning. Thursday night was a long slow night; a lot of "what if's" playing in our heads, along with a replay of the past 17 years of unusual, weird, funny, frustrating, and sad experiences... and of course including all the less than delightful automotive experiences we've had during the MATO shows. We missed the Main Street part of the show that night. And so... at 7:30am the next morning, the guys were at Accurate Automotive's front door with one dead pony and a dozen doughnuts from Goldsboro Bakery. To make a long story short... trying to find a high-torque, shorty, clocked starter... in Yuma... for a 428 Ford engine, is challenging to say the least. Praying for a small miracle, but not exactly expecting one, we went about our day. At 3:00pm we got a call that the car was ready. The Accurate Automotive ANGELS had called in a few favors and found a shop that would drop everything and rebuild D's starter. They pulled the starter, sent it out, and got it back... they even put the old solenoid back in since that wasn't the problem... AND they got D on the road for an unbelievably inexpensive price. In the past, we've gone elsewhere because we didn't know this place existed, and nearly had to mortgage a house. Thrilled doesn't come close to describing our reaction. Not only that, but D drove his Mustang to Caballero Park, parked it on the lawn in his designated space, and we still had time for the four of us to set up our folding chairs at the edge of the road and watch all the cars from the parade drive in. The real beginning of the MATO event at the park. That was hands down the happiest ending we have ever had to a car problem at a MATO show. And it was great to see some of you Accurate Automotive guys at the show; as volunteers or walking around with the family. Thank you so much! Accurate does not service electric cars of any kind so they are missing the boat. I sadly have a Tesla, which only has 1 service center in the entire State Of Arizona. Which means every issue with Tesla must be towed to Glendale on their schedule. Tesla would never tell customers this but it's an impossible situation and no person should ever buy a Tesla. I ran my car off the road outside of Yuma and was at the mercy of whoever came to helped. I later told my friends that I was surrounded by angels. The mishaps that happened during my very long ordeal in the side of the road were well outnumbered by the quality of people who helped me. I'm so grateful for Scott, and his driver Rueban. After having so many issues with the AAA app and waiting for 2 hours, AAA finally assigned us a technician through Accurate Towing. Rubin called us immediately and told us his ETA but that he would come as soon as possible. Upon arrival, he got straight to business! He was so efficient, speedy and professional. 45 minutes out of Yuma we dropped our alternator belt. A light went on. Then all the lights went on. We stopped at Starbucks to research where to go. I found a rental place and a Accurate. In the meantime our car wouldn't start. An old vet at Starbucks took it on himself to find someone to get us a jump. After several tries the car started but it was clear we needed help. By the time we got to the rental place it was going under 5 mph. The rental place had one car. It's the car we are thinking of getting, a Nissan Rogue. While I filled out the rental agreement, Mt wife called AAA to arrange a tow. They said it might be 2 hours and we would have to wait for the guy to accompany him to the mechanic shop. Within minutes the tow guy showed up. He had just gotten out of church. When I told him the mechanic shop to tow it to, he said that was the shop he worked at. When I asked if we needed to go over with him, he said no, he could take it without us. So I jumped in the car and picked up My wife coming back with lunch from Arby's. We arrived at 11:00 and by 12:00 we were on the road, with food. It took maybe 30 more minutes than it would have if we had just stopped. A couple lessons I learned God is watching out for me God cares about the details God can work in rental car places He shows up in tow truck guys If you go to Arby's avoid the chicken, stick with the roast beef. What's great about Russell and his team at Accurate Automotive is only after trial and error on my part and proven integrity over time, these people are definitely the automotive experts you can trust. The first time I went to Accurate Automotive they told me what the problem was and it was a big one (meaning, expensive). I went looking for a second opinion. Got what thought was a better answer, only to find out later the answer was wrong and cost me only more in the long run. (My review is actually for the Accurate Automotive Attention on Frontage Rd. That being said, the Frontage Rd. site and the 3rd Ave site are the same company, so I thought I should post this here as well as on the Frontage link.) Do not, I repeat, Do not take your car to this shop! I was on a cross country trip with my family when my AC went out. I needed a new Compressor, a new Accumulator, and a new Orifice Tube. This is not a cheap repair, but it is not the crazy expensive repair that they claimed it was! They gave me a $2000 quote and told me I needed parts that aren't even part of my AC system! I guess they thought I was a clueless tourist, so they tried to take advantage. Not only did they want $2000, they couldn't even get the parts for two more days! The final straw was when they suggested that it would be safer to remove my AC belt for my drive home. This was the correct thing to do, but they said it would take 45 minutes to do it at an additional charge of $75!!! I drove the car 20 minutes from their shop, back to my hotel, and removed my belt in just over 10 minutes. Drive and repair took me 31 minutes combined!!! I drove back home and got the job done for an even $1000 and didn't have to wait for parts. I got three quotes in So. Cal and all of them were far below the $2000 quote that I had received from Accurate Auto Attention. Please stay away from these thieves. I felt like Chevy Chase in the movie Vacation working with these guys. read more
