Saturday pizza night with my daughter. Order a small pepperoni and a lasagna. Pizza was very flavorful with a good amount of pepperoni and cheese, well proportioned. I remember as a teenager we would order lasagna from a place that made super simple lasagna, not a lot of sauce, but just good enough to have that taste of the pasta. John's lasagna reminded me of that and was awesome to me. The sauce had chunks of and meat, sauce wasn't too think and a little tang. The toughest critic is my daughter and when she decided to put down her pizza for the lasagna says something as she is fairly picky. read more

I pretty much only order this when there's a promotion on delivery apps. It's not my favourite, but it's alright. I do find it to be on the expensive side for what it is. I love pan pizza, and they do an okay job of it. The crust is crispy and not thick, but the toppings do not go to the edge, unlike Domino's pan pizza (which I prefer). John's Pan pizza offers quite a few creative combinations. However, I wish they had combinations that included a couple more toppings. They are not super generous with the cheese. Also, I did feel very thirsty after having their pizza, so that is something to note. Their wings are really large, although some of it is definitely bulked up by the breading. Honey garlic is quite sweet, and punjabi style wings are spicy. If I was really craving pizza, I'd probably order from elsewhere. But if a delivery app offered a good promotion I'd consider ordering again. I think there's better options out there, especially in terms of value. read more

I'm sorry, I never want to hurt a business with a bad review. I love pizza, especially pizza with everything on it. Tonight, the loaded 'expectations' have failed either John's Pan Pizza or John's Pan Pizza. I will never order from here again for the following reasons. We ordered from Uber Eats and immediately initiated the procedure to complain about an unedible order, a missing charged item. The pizza dough to our loaded pizza was half raw. No complaints on what's on top but the crust/bread is a crucial part to enjoy a pizza. I understand that if we paid extra for a fully loaded pizza it would take longer to make sure it cooks through. Not sure if they knew that. So ruined our night, only eating toppings and on top of that the caeser salad is old, very far from gourmet or fresh. Like it was sitting in a bowl the whole day and has started to wilt. We also paid for two sauces, save 1 sauce for leftovers another day but only received one. Now I appreciate constructive criticism as it makes me and my work better. Called them directly to let them know about this issue. The cook listened and then gave the phone to the manager which literally blamed the Uber driver for accusadly driving around making the dough soggy. To be clear, it was not soggy it was gooey and uncooked. The call that was supposed to help this business owner be better turned into a pass the buck situation hence this review. John's Pan Pizza will never ever get our business not recommendation. A simple sorry this has happened to you, sorry for ruining your dinner and thank you for calling as we will make sure no other patrons may have this happen to them, would have resolved this all. read more

Great toppings but unfortunately the pizza was raw! We called the restaurant to let them know, not interested in a refund or a replacement cause really it's too late now. We already have a bad taste in our mouths (literally). Instead of taking responsibility, they decided to blame on the Uber driver for driving around and making the pizza soggy but clearly soggy pizza and raw pizza is 2 different things. As you can see in the pictures, the bottom of the pizza is dry and the middle of the pizza is raw dough. It's ok to make mistakes but never once did they apologize and only made excuses and putting blame on others. Really disappointing on their approach. Wishing all of you better luck! read more

Times have changed and so has this place. I think it has replaced the old pizza place I used to order because they have a better more expansive menu but that's not all. The delivery driver I got was the owner and he was super nice! Not like that other place where the driver was all negative attitude. That turned me off and so I decided to give John's Pan Pizza another try . I was happy I did. They're trying new pizza options and the pizzas I ordered was quite good! My husband and I were feeling pretty hungry as we made our way into Steveston to work at a coffee shop. We didn't want to spend a lot of money and wanted something to tide us over until dinner. We ordered two pepperoni slices and a pop for $5.50 + tax. I thought that the pizza was good enough for the price. My preference for pizza is for the crust to be crispier. This pizza was more doughy. what a disgusting place to get pizza! i walked in and was about to order a pizza when i witnessed the "chef" using his bare hands, prepare a pizza and sprinkle all the ingredients in the pie and then put it in oven. afterwards, he proceeded to wipe his hands on his jeans, then adjust his ballcap, the again using bare hands, box other pizzas using tongs. then i saw him open drawers and wipe his nose then proceeded to prepare another pizza. wow! do they know anything about food safe? i would never order from here or set foot in this place ever again. watching the dude prepare the pizza with barehands, no apron , hairnet or anything , no hand washing practices whatsoever killed my appetite. reminds me of those you tube videos in southasia where drinks and food is prepared with barehands from street stalls. eww! thats how diseases spread! dont go! resolution by owner: the owner immediately got back to me and got the details of the incident and promised to immediately look into it and provide better coaching to his staff. i highly appreciated his efforts and good faith in trying to better his services. Our first time trying butter chicken pizza and to be honest, it didn't taste anything like butter chicken. To make it worse, there was barely any chicken. It was overloaded with diced bell peppers and onions. We loved how they double layered the cheese. So definitely points for that. I enjoyed the capicola pizza a lot because it had this spicy heat, but it was too much heat for the rest of my family. So beware if you're sensitive to spicy food. Also the meat used wasn't capicola, more like regular ham. The service was nice. We used to love their pizzas but our recent take out was a disappointment! Although the pizza was prepared fresh, it didn't taste as good as the last few times. The Texas Barbecue Chicken didn't have enough barbecue sauce making the pizza very bland and the chicken was not even roasted like it would be. Really great value for money. We got the walk in special - two large pizzas for under $25 and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pizzas. If you're looking for some good pizza at a good price you'll be happy here. My only complaint is that we ordered two dipping sauces and two cans of coke. When I got there he made a point to open one of the pizzas to show the sauce inside but when we got home we realized there wasn't a sauce in the other one. We ordered 4 large pizzas (veggie, tropical, supreme meat) for delivery to our kids' party at the Steveston Community Centre. They were delivered on time and the pizzas were delicious, loaded with toppings, good amount of tasty sauce and cheese, and not too thick crust.
