This woman owned small businesses keeps a variety of locally sourced plants on hand including yard & house plants, seasonal fruit & veggie staples, and herbs and has easily become one of my favorite new plant shops. They shop owner is super sweet & extremely helpful and love to share her plant knowledge with shopper! She made my experience there very fun & easy. I picked up a wopping 16 new plants that I will be growing in containers this summer including Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Squash, Zuchinni, and Cucmbers. The Hulen and Debbie Lane locations both have big houseplant areas along with the seasonal outdoor colors. They did have some small Coleus plants in stock which is a favorite of my wife's. A Japanese maple tree (since my mother stole my other one), two astilbes, lavender, rosemary, sage, basil, geraniums, and an azalea. Each plant looked healthy on the shelves to start and is now thriving even more, happy at home in our backyard.

I found…read morefleas, he never has fleas, so I bathed him, killing 5 fleas, a few days later we bathed him again, 3 fleas, another few days, 5 fleas. What is going on? Asked my new know it all, Claude and it said to get 3 items, all were found at Green Acres Nursery & Supply. The lawn and garden is going to be treated with Nature's Creation Cedar Repel, Flea Destroyer and Medine Orange Oil Concentrate. The dog gets another bath and vinegar rinse. I never looked to see the price of the items, priceless in my opinion.

Upon entering, I was immediately overwhelmed by a pungent odor reminiscent of cat urine. It was so overpowering that breathing became a challenge, and it was hard to imagine anyone choosing to linger in the retail space. I am a huge advocate for businesses that embrace having animals on site, as it often adds a charming touch to the shopping experience. The cat at Green Acre is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, its presence has wreaked havoc on the retail space. The unmistakable odor suggests it has chosen the outdoor furniture as its territory, which detracts significantly from the environment--something that management ought to address promptly. Despite this unnerving aspect, I did spot an exquisite Alocasia Zebrina. This find was the shining moment in an otherwise unpleasant visit. Sadly, I didn't venture into their outdoor section, as the state of the houseplant area was disheartening enough. Many of the plants appeared neglected, with signs of overwatering and distress. It was disappointing to see such potential overshadowed by poor maintenance. If this Green Acre location wishes to improve, they could learn a lot from the Green Acres location in Melissa, whose plant manager truly excels. Her expertise and care are evident, and similar attention is needed in Irving to revive their plant offerings and overall customer experience. Overall, I wish I could grant a higher score, but the current conditions make it difficult to recommend Green Acre Nursery until these issues are addressed.
