I recently visited Jojos and had their sampler as an app and and the catch of the day for my main course. Food was fantastic, the fish was particularly fresh and well seasoned. I also was very happy with the service I received, the server was attentive and very polite and really went the extra mile. The place is really laid back with a real community feel to it. This is one of our favorite local businesses, we love the wings! The moment you walk in the atmosphere and energy is fantastic, Monday night is trivia so you feel really smart or really stupid, it is so much fun! We sit down and look around to see familiar faces which is the best part also. The menu has wonderful specials, from fresh fish to the most incredible wings! You get to be creative with what you order, we had Raina tonight and she was great and on spot all night long! We both ordered soup to start, clam chowder and the minestrone special, absolutely delicious. We then both ordered 10 wings cooked to perfection, crispy with sweet garlic. 5 stars is not enough! What a great place! My only regret is not trying Jojo's sooner! The food was phenomenal. We had the "Wolfie's Wings and mozzarella medallions as appetizer. They could have been a whole meal. The wings have a dry rub and then tossed with a sriracha sauce. The flavor is amazing! Spicy but not super hot. The mozzarella medallions are fresh sliced mozzarella hand breaded and fried. Their marinara sauce is one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Our server, Nicole was very quick but did not make us feel rushed. The timing between the appetizers and entrees was perfect. I had the blackened shrimp. 8 good sized shrimp seasoned perfectly served with 2 sides. I had fries and the fresh vegetables. Even the sides are extraordinary! Hubby had the Philly steak and brought half of it home! My son had the beer batter fish n chips. He said it was really good but also brought the second piece of fish and half the fries home. Walked in there one night and it smelled like puke that had been soaked up with ammonia cleaning spray, and there were fruit flies all over the bottles behind the bar. Bought a bottle of beer just to be nice and drank it outside, was not about to order a draft. While outside there was a guy that looked like he had been golfing and drinking all day, hunched over smoking a cigarette and trying to convince some chick on the phone that he's not with his wife any longer and to come hang out with him, was quite the visit to Jojo's! read more

This is a legendary Wellington watering hole. It has a killer raw bar. In spite of my pre-visit buzz from the locals, the wings were very good, not exceptional. The crab cake was world class. Their cold shrimp, and their fried shrimp was also top notch. An excellent selection of beers and spirts. Service was great. They're very involved in the community, and, in sleepy Welly, they're open late. My only beef was that they need to social distance tables, and the bar, much better. COVID is coming again, Jon Snow. They have outside tables, but they allow smoking there, so, while they're more COVID-safe, outdoors isn't an option for non-smokers. read more

Was our frequent stop; not anymore... Terrible service and attitude at the bar, where we wanted to watch the games. The rest of the seating area was empty, but always very boring and soulless. After getting our initial drinks, nobody asked if we wanted anything else, so we had to grab menus ourselves over the bar and stop bartenders to put in orders. Food was ok, not great, but everything came altogether even though we asked not to. We had an up-charge on cocktails, but weren't informed or warned about the upper-shelf liquor prices. When we complained about these issues, the bartender (who never served us) got furious with us, not his colleagues. .....And then we realized we were the only non-white Americans inside, so "thank you for your service, but never again!" PS I'm a server and an occasional bartender myself; if I fail any of these steps above (e.g. not greeting, not taking orders, not selling up-charge but also not informing about that up-charge, and arguing with the guest) I'll be fired on the spot. What a hidden gem tucked away in a plaza near a movie theater and karate spots. Will say this place is great for everyday of the week. They do a great job of having something every night of the week. The 30 drafs on tap are awesome for a local spot. The different specials are awesome and cover a little of everything their happy hour is awesome. The first two times we went to Jojo's we were very impressed. I loved the hot wings and the rest of the food and service was good. Since those initial visits, the food and service have gone down each time. As many other people have noted, the service is terrible. When your server actually does come to the table, you feel like you are bothering them. Most times, we sat at the table with empty glasses. I love the hot wings, but they are hot and I like to have a cold beer to drink with them. My wings got cold while I waited for the server to come back with a beer. If you ask for cheese fries, they dump shredded cheese on the fries and it ends up sort of melted, sort of not melted, either way, it is not good, at all. The atmosphere is dive bar like, which I don't mind, but may not be for everyone. The bathrooms are not clean at all. Overall, I really love their wings and happy hour specials, but, I don't know if it is worth it dues to the lack of service provided. read more

Was really excited to check this place out but unfortunately it was a big let down. My family and I went on a weeknight so it would not be crowded. We were able to walk in and sit right away which is always a plus. The kids got wings. They were smaller than we would typically get and were very overcooked. My wife got the French dip. Again, meat was very overcooked and dry and the Au Jus was so salty it was completely inedible. I got the Kentucky Bowl. The dish was very bland and super sloppy put together. Unfortunately the service kinda fit the rest of the experience. Our server seemed nice, but was never around. The restaurant was not that busy so I'm not sure where he was hanging out at. We had to flag people down every time we needed something. Other servers would walk by our table and see the dirty stacked up plates, empty drinks, etc. and do nothing. Maybe it was an off night for everything, but it will probably be a long time for us to go back if we were to give it another try. read more
