I've been coming here pretty consistently for the past few months.... 1. The food is good. 2. It's reasonable. 3. It's small. 4. Great service, Ngl, some of the live music talent can be better..... My husband brought me here to give this place a try. It's tucked back in inside this plaza. The name made me think it was a kickboxing place. But it is not! It's really a cute neighborhood bar! And it was a fun menu, with many things that I wanted to try. I had the chicken apple melt sandwich. It's probably one of the best sandwich I've had in awhile! My husband had the hot crunchy mahi wrap! He loved it! They also offer a cucumber salad for a side choice, which I also like. Something different! Our server Reagan was friendly and accommodating! Came back from the Loxahatchee area with a hungry belly so I quickly looked up food near me and found this restaurant had good reviews on google. Upon arrival i realized it was a bit tucked away which made it all the more interesting. We were able to be seated right away indoors (party of 3) and the assistant GM visited throughout our dining experience to ensure we were ok, which felt comforting. For starters we ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts that had goat cheese on it. I wish the brussel sprouts had been just a tad bit less burnt but it was still good. The mozzarella triangles were perfect and I think could do without the sauce on the side. I ordered the shrimp tacos because the toppings seemed tasty, which they were! I also tried my mom's food-- good skirt steak, delicious mashed potatoes and even better steamed broccoli. We couldn't squeeze in dessert but the bread pudding was highly recommended by our server so we took it to-go. I forgot to take a picture but it was SOOO GOOD! Like seriously, I would return back solely for that. They offer Trivia on Wednesdays which is cool and have different daily specials to look out for. We decided to come here after seeing them on TikTok. I definitely came for the mozzarella triangles with vodka sauce (which is original to me, something I've never seen offered before) and they did not disappoint. Our server was attentive and kind. Went last night for the first time. Was very happy with everything. Great vibe, food was delicious, music just right and excellent service. The bartender was very efficient and friendly. We waited for a table. There were 7 of us, and hung out with a nice couple sitting at one of the high tops. They befriended us, and the high top behind us, was friendly too. It was annice crowd there. Just cool people, hanging out. Once we sat, I had the steak appetizer with Bernanke sauce and these amazing truffle parmesean fries. They were killer. OK, so I saw a video review on TikTok and I thought to myself wow this looks like a place I have to try. So last night I gathered up my family and we all went down to The kickback Tavern to see what that was about. We got there about 5 pm and the place was not super crowded, just a few people. The problem with the location is that it's like in the recessed section of a shopping center and it's a little hard to find if you don't know where it is. The parking is also difficult. When we got inside, we were immediately greeted, and we sat down pretty quickly. There was a nice big booth by the front door. Our server Stacy came over to say hello and she was amazing. Super friendly, super on top of everything. The drinks kept getting refilled without even asking. That's what I like about a good restaurant, I don't have to worry about the small details, they come around and take care of all that for me. The place isn't large, but it does have a nice bar and several tables and booths. On weekends they have live music starting at 7 PM. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the giant German pretzel and the mozzarella triangles for appetizers and they were very nice. The pretzel was super soft, hot and fresh like it just came out of the oven. The mozzarella triangles could've been thicker. I'm not gonna lie. They could've been thicker, but they were very well seasoned very well Breaded and the dipping sauce was a vodka sauce that was quite tasty. For dinner I had the penne with vodka sauce and shrimp and momma had the penne with Pomodoro sauce and shrimp. My brother had the mahi-mahi sandwich with french fries. All in all it was very tasty and I enjoyed the experience and I'd be happy to go back again. The general manager, Anita, came by and said hello. A very nice woman with a very big smile very friendly. We laughed about how I found the restaurant on TikTok and how the people sitting at the table next to us also found the restaurant watching that same video on TikTok. There is one small critique, now this won't stop me from returning but it did irritate me just a little bit when I left. Asking for Parmesan cheese for my pasta dish and my mothers pasta dish they provided two little small cups of grated Parmesan cheese and charged a dollar for each one of those cups. I have never in my life been to a restaurant that serves me pasta and makes me pay for Parmesan cheese. I found that a little disturbing but overall my experience was so good that I'm willing to overlook it but they really should rethink that policy because it's not right to charge a customer for cheese for pasta with sauce. read more

So what was the biggest positive of coming here? My drinks came out the fastest I have had them come out from a server. Everything else was a complete miss! For starters, the French onion needed to be cooked longer. We ordered the "World Famous" steak tip sandwich. We also ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Not only did the "World Famous" steak tips not come out as requested, but it also had zero flavor. I also tried the Philly, but that also had absolutely no flavor to it at all. We did have fries with both entrees, and they were cold. We asked the server for new fries, and she disappeared for a while. Then, she eventually brought us out fries that were supposed to be hot. The fries were warm at best. A first impression is a lasting impression. If I came here for the drinks, then this may be the place to go. If you are coming for food, find anywhere else unless you want to overpay for food that is not even mediocre. read more

We had such a great meal at kickback. We decided to try something new and found a gem. Our server Kristen G was amazing. She told us about the specials and different happenings throughout the week like trivia night and live music. She also told us about their happy hour offerings which we took advantage of the happy hour spinach and artichoke dip that was yummy. I had the Gorgonzola salad which was yummy . I can't wait to go back and sample more of the menu. Really was a warm, inviting and pleasant experience. Kristan added to the experience by being a very attentive server. Found this place when we moved here and loved it! Knowing it's rare to find exceptional service and great food we were so happy the food and service is consistent. It's a really welcoming atmosphere with a decent size bar area and tables. The servers are excellent- attentive and super friendly...but the food is so good. We love the salsa to start, it's homemade and has the best flavor. Last time we went I had the swordfish and asparagus risotto which was incredible! Hubby had the rosemary ribeye and loved it so much he ordered the next time we went. (These were both on the specials menu). We've also ordered from the menu, penne alla vodka, fish fry and burger. All so good. They also do live music on the weekends which was nice. Not so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation but not so low you couldn't appreciate it. As others have mentioned, this is definitely a neighborhood place -- but with good food. And I would not have normally discovered it in my travels. I'd read that the same folks who own Kick Back had recently bought a longtime favorite restaurant in Broward. I'd bookmarked it to check out. We came here early on a Saturday evening. We heard they weren't that busy due to the South Florida fair going on. We were warmly greeted and decided to sit at the bar. We had good friendly service from the two Mels (Melissa and Melanie). I had their tenderloin tips starter. The steak was tender and served with béarnaise sauce. I paired it with a side of (real) mashed potatoes with a touch of brown gravy. Both were very good -- and I'd order them both again. My husband had one of their nightly specials -- Texas chili. He got all the toppings (cheese and onions and jalapeños). It came with a side of tortilla chips. It was meaty and filling. We would have gotten dessert (I'm partial to something chocolate), but they only had one, a key lime pie. After hearing it was more cheesecake like than Florida style, we passed on it. Overall, this small venue set back in a strip of other stores is a hidden gem. If we lived nearby, we'd be here quite often. That being said, we'll still be making the drive when we want friendly service, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere. read more

We chose this restaurant location because it was a central place to meet friends. The has a square roomy bar area with a beer system that will serve up pints alongside classic cocktails and some interesting new offerings. The food menu is a superior tavern fare with comfort classics and recognizable favorites. Menu items such as tenderloin tips, Peter Lugar burger and the gorgonzola salad were appealing to us. The live music presented that evening was fabulous. I was quite surprised by the talent of the pair of musicians. We enjoyed "Happy Hour" for five minutes since we arrived late, but that was good enough to enjoy the choice IPA draft that our server had recommended. Ive been here twice for a good casual lunch spot. The ambiance is your typical neighborhood dive bar experience with a bit more upscale menu which I really enjoy. It was nice to sit at the bar and enjoy a cold beer in the casual atmosphere. The truffle parmesan fries are amazing!! My fiancé had the wings and he thoroughly enjoyed them. My first time here I had the shrimp risotto which was good but it was lacking the mushrooms it was supposed to have which was disappoint. This past visit I had the Caesar salad and added blackened salmon. Omg so good! The salmon was soooo delicious. I definitely recommend a salmon dish. The service the first time we went here was a bit slow which delayed us coming back for a while but I'm glad we did! The service this last time was attentive and prompt no issue! read more

My friends and I walked into this bar after dinner at 9:45, not knowing it closes at 10PM. This was our first time. The staff was very welcoming and still served us. We ordered some drinks. Jessica served us and made us feel right at home, as if we were regulars there. Kickback has such a cozy atmosphere (honestly reminded me of a few holiday movies I watch) and although I'm down in Coral Springs, I want to come back and hang again! HUGE pet peeve of mine is when I get charged 1.00 for extra sauce. I ordered the chicken strips and I wanted ranch, BBQ and honey mustard to give them all a try. I didn't count the strips, but I am guessing the appetizer came with 4-5 pretty big strips. They served me 3 tiny cups of dipping sauce and when I got the bill they charged me 2.00 for the sauce. One tiny sauce for that many chicken strips...really? Come on. Seems very "fast foodish." The food was good and service was good as well.
