For a very long time, I've wanted to check this place out. This past Saturday My boyfriend and I took my boyfriend children to lunch. The ambiance is fun. We sat on the top of the rooftop deck where the kids sat in the swing seats. The kids had the Wonder Years Shake, I had the Chocolate Nirvana (a sweet tribute to the late Kurt Cobain) and my boyfriend eldest daughter called him a lame because he had just a regular Oreo shake. However, I had the codfather which was good, but the packed on too much coleslaw. My boyfriend and his son both had the Windy City Smash Burger (That's a big a.. burger!), his eldest had her usual Buffalo Chicken Wrap(she said she been to this joint before) and his middle daughter had buffalo wings (she is a picky eater). I know that's not the restaurants fault but the music was really strange too, lots of beeping and noises that reminded me of an EKG. This was such a great surprise, food wise! The place is really cute inside. Very Instagram friendly for sure. We were led upstairs and ordered our hot chocolates. Mine was a little watery but once i put the marshmallow in and the chocolate melted off it, it was pretty great. I had the smash burger and my daughter had the hot chicken sandwich. A few friends and I decided to check out JoJo's Shake Bar in Naperville after hearing great things about it. Getting there on a weekend was a bit challenging, as downtown Naperville tends to be very crowded with limited parking. However, our visit was well worth the hassle. Upon entering, the fun atmosphere instantly caught our attention, complete with playful decor, a mini arcade on the side and a large Pac-Man mural on the wall leading upstairs. We opted to sit at the bar and ordered some shakes. We tried the Nirvana milkshake, which is a Chocolate Oreo Shake topped with a double chocolate donut hole, double chocolate marshmallow, and a chocolate chip cookie. You really have to see it to appreciate its size, especially for $14! The cookie and donut hole were fantastic, I thought it was perfect but my buddy who is a chocolate fanatic felt the milkshake could have had a bit more chocolate flavor to truly embody the name "Chocolate Nirvana." Fun for the kiddos AND the parents! Definitely a fun atmosphere, we made a reservation for Saturday to ensure being seated quickly and were seated immediately upon walking in with our choice of seating. We opted for the treehouse which was a fun and whimsical place to enjoy lunch. The service was great and they have a pretty solid cocktail menu with fun items, we did the Mallort shot with the Polaroid photo for extra fun and had a cocktail that was made well. If you're coming here, you're probably coming to enjoy one of the social media worthy Biggie Shakes and in this way, Jojo's Shake Bar really delivers. The shake itself is enormous with tons of toppings that could really be a small meal in itself, and surprisingly not overwhelmingly sweet. For something that is put together with good quality ingredients and decorated nicely, I don't think that $14 is too unreasonable, particularly for the amount of amazing photo opportunities and memories that it provides. The restaurant itself also has a very cool look to it, with a very retro video game vibe and an awesome looking bar. Service is friendly and the staff is helpful with requests. Lowkey shocked this was our first time at Jojos seeing as how this is a chain but we had a good time! It gives almost bar vibes but at the same time kid friendly vibes. After looking for a parking spot for a while, we finally found a parking spot around the corner on another street. Parking is the not the best because it's mostly street parking and there are so many different shops and restaurants around. Once you enter, there is a bar to your left, booths to the right. First time at JoJo's Shake Bar and it did not disappoint! This location is in downtown Naperville and I had absolutely no idea that they had a rooftop patio seating in addition to the seating downstairs! It was a beautiful sunny day and the patio was flooded with sunshine. There's a full bar and full service for food upstairs and downstairs. The staff is so incredibly sweet and helpful! We got a pride milkshake along with a side of onion rings. The milkshake was absolutely AMAZING, you guys! I'm not a fan of vanilla and when it comes to milkshakes, I'll always reach for something with chocolate. But having the vanilla ice cream truly made all the other components stand out and taste incredible. The cake on top was so moist and delicious. The candy surrounding the shake was just perfect with the ice cream. I will say that the shake was quite thick, almost along the consistency of ice cream, so it was nearly impossible to drink from a straw. So be sure to grab some spoons!! Just came here to say....STILLL LOVE THIS PLACE!! Got to try the pride shake which is INCREDIBLE. A national treasure. Not only is a whole, cream, shake with whipped cream on the outside but a SLICE OF RAINBOW cake on top. We were able to bring this home and share with the whole family haha. LOVE IT SO MUCH. We also got a chance to sit on the rooftop this time which was amazing. It's set to look like a treehoues and has lights, pictures, tire swings, the whole caboodle. I recently came here with my wife on a day off we both had and wanted to give this place a try something new since it had delicious food, drinks and some vegan options as well. We booked our reservation online which was easy. Staff greeted us and we were shown upstairs to our table upstairs. The menu had plenty of great food options but I settled for their burger which was basically all the ingredients of a Chicago dog but without the cheese. It was a really good burger. Fair variety of drinks but I had their not - sangria drink which was good. I will say the food is fairly priced but their alcoholic specials we're on the expensive side. I did enjoy that they had Pokémon playing at the bar, I felt like a kid again. Even some arcade games for the kiddos whenever they get restless at the table. I'd suggest if you're coming here on a date, definitely select the downstairs area, it feels more intimate of a setting. For a treat for the Hubs bday weekend-I took him to JoJo's!!! Let's get into it. I didn't make a reservation (I honestly didn't think I needed to). WRONG. Please either call/check website. I ordered a basic shake. Nothing too fancy. Just a banana shake with caramel, chocolate, and whipped cream with a cherry on top. That came first and I nearly finished it before my food arrived! Next, the "Smash Burger" with crispy waffle fries graced my presence. Talk about the perfect burger and presentation. No fast food chain can duplicate the craftsmanship of the burger or it's flavor. Our experience was much less than satisfactory! But I will start with the positive first: the food was good enough and the ambiance of the "treehouse" seating on the upper level was fun (the weather was perfect that day). However, we have MULTIPLE complaints. Here is the story: On the internet, JoJo's advertised a "Mother's Day" special where you get an appetizer and an entree for a fixed price. With tax and tip the total was $37.25 per person. It had to be pre-paid in order to reserve the experience. So, our family of 14 pre-paid over $520 and arrived at noon on Sunday. The server told us that she was told that morning that it was 1 appetizer per 2 people (so only 7 apps instead of the advertised and expected 14 for our party). We asked for the manager, who after much arguing, told us we were right, but he impotent do anything about it as it was a corporate policy. He gave us a name at corporate where we could argue or case. We agreed to stay and eat (only 7 apps and 14 entrees) because everyone was hungry and we knew how difficult it would be to find a place for 14 on Mother's Day without a reservation--we felt trapped! Certainly, we had plenty of food, but not as much as we had paid for! Now for service (for which we paid about $100 tip in the prepay): the server took our orders. When we were able to find her and ask, she did bring us silverware, but not enough forks for all! The kitchen brought out the food. We did not see the server again and had to flag down the manager to give us additional water. Extremely poor service (perhaps the server was afraid of us for having had an argument with the manager--even though it was very civil). I wanted to find her and tell her that we had already committed a large tip for her, and it would be nice if she paid some attention to us. But, alas, I never could see her around. Our Mother's Day experience was only saved by the fact that we were all together as a family. But we will NEVER go again to JoJo's due to their dishonesty in advertising and failure to honor their promise. read more

Didn't seem like there was a lot of people inside which was also pretty nice! The fish n chips was my favorite. Beer battered cod with a housemade tartar sauce with waffle fries makes this a filling and satisfying meal. The mac n cheese was heavy on the cheese (five of them to be exact) and the cavatappi noodles pick up all that ooey goodness. There's a generous amount here so the leftovers were definitely taken to go. House salad was also plentiful and I have a hard time seeing one person finish this, but try me! The music selection they played took me back to middle school dances haha and my niece loved the games corner and looking at the yummy ice creams. The Charleston wrap - this was my favorite. So flavorful with the honey mustard sauce. Lots of veggies but a little sparse on the chicken Brussel crow - very tasty honey mustard dressing and nice chew from the brussel sprouts Pops pot pie - very flavorful and creamy. Ferris mule - very tasty but not very strong. I don't think I would pay $14 for a cocktail in Naperville Rocky IV - we couldn't get through half of this with the 10 of us. I recommend getting one for the table with a side of fries because these are loaded with toppings and sugar. I think I was expecting peanut butter ice cream and was surprised by the banana but it was nice that it wasn't too sweet. All the toppings were awesome Chicken tenders and fries - I didn't know they had a kids menu but we ordered this for my niece and nephew and it was perfect Honey fried chicken - kind of dry, I didn't really taste any honey. Bro he was pillowy and sweet though The cod father - also kind of dry. I honestly don't even remember how this tasted The clevelander - the pretty basic. It's like a Cubano. Not worth the price. The overall vibe of this place is cute and well themed. The menu had a variety of appetizing options, and I decided to order a walking taco. I was highly disappointed to see that the "beef chili" in the walking taco was basically nonexistent. I was only able to locate maybe 4 minuscule chunks of ground beef. The ratio of meat to the Fritos and other toppings was horrible. For $16 I would have been able to go to the store and buy the ingredients to make this exact meal for myself and family members. If I wanted to order a bag of Fritos with lettuce and tomatoes I would've done so, but I wanted some meat in there. Total let down food wise. The other people in our group enjoyed their food.
