    Joju banh-mi fries
    Sheila M.

We went to the Joju store in Flushing, Tangram Mall located on the 2nd floor. We usually go to the original Elmhurst store. We found out they have another store in the Tangram mall. We order our usual Joju banh-mi fries. The banh-mi fries usually have alot of pickled dicon radish but today in their store we had hardly any. Also, I ordered with no jalapenos but there were some bits of pieces. Overall, the fries has a good kick. I do wish they had added more. Overall, service was fast, friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Store was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hopefully next time, they have my order correct.

Quality of food is on the A game. Really enjoyed the banh mi fries, one of my favorite menu items to order when here Super crisp fries, a lot of toppings over it, and so delectable [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating wise it's in a food court so seating will need to be scouted. It can get crowded here at times, but seating can be found[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff also very professional Overall, great spot churning out great food

One of my favorite banh mi places in NYC. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's locations inside tangram mall so seating is limited and it's always packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's not the cheapest but it's high quality and big. The service is standard and you order from a server or online

Fast service. Got the caramelized pork bowl. It was good. Wouldn't order it again because there are other items that I would want to try!

    Bulgogi Bahn Mi

My bf loves going to Joju in the Tangram Food Hall! He always gets the bulgogi bahn mi, and I always eat half of it. The sandwich is hefty--with copious amounts of fresh herbs and veggies, a runny egg, and savory bulgogi. The perfect fusion of Korean and Vietnamese (5/5). Also, you get get extra sauce like spicy mayo I think it's a bit pricey though, and you can def get a more authentic bahn mi for less somewhere else. However, Joju is modern and creating a fun twist to their food that I like. --- Service: sometimes the food hall can be really busy, particularly on weekends. But they have a person and a kiosk that can take orders so it's super easy to order. they will text you when the order is ready so you can roam around the mall while you wait. -- [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: the food hall can be loud and lively when it's busy. It's in a food court so it's public seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been wanting to try JoJu for some time after first hearing about this Korean-Vietnamese fusion Bahn mi shop opening in Elmhurst. I finally ended up getting a chance after stumbling upon their new outpost in the Tangram Mall food court (which honestly I was underwhelmed by after hearing so much hype). The ginger seitan vegetarian option was quite good. It had a nice amount of mayo and got some extra kick from a combo of jalapeños and kimchis as add-ons. Overall a very solid sandwich.

Need a consistently good bite? This is the spot for you in Tangram. Fast moving and not too pricey, Joju delivers fresh Vietnamese flavors. Order from the kiosk or person. You only get two sauces for free. One of them has to be the fish sauce! The bbq pork is a meaty bite that makes you crave for more. The Vietnamese caramel pork is tasty and has amazing texture with every bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's tangram so it's going to be loud, you may have difficulty finding a seat in the food hall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love this place. My favorite place for a bank mi sandwich. The sandwiches are huge. This place also has amazing bowls. I love their bowls because they're different. The chicken is always super juicy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small spot but it's great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a small seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have an app you can order online for pickup. They also have an option for delivery, but they use outside delivery services like Grubhub or uber eats. I promise it will become one of your favorites if not your favorite bahn mi spot.

Its inside Tamgram and Ive been to this place many times! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres a few seats outside of this stall but it gets really crowded during lunch time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I alwayd get the caramelized pork and its always so good! You get a lot for what you waya nd the lychee mojito was really good as well. The service was fast.

Super sweet rice bowl. Not recommended. Made for white people.
    Rusty D.

Made for white people. The crumbled meat was so sweet it tasted like candy. The rice bowl was incoherent even as i love a good Asian fusion. But the over-sugared meat is the real crime. Maybe the banh mi is better but the server was super enthusiastic about the rice bowl, which imho is less than mid. And nothing like a good rice bowl in queens, which is where this is from. Sigh.

I usually enjoy JoJu, but their Thai Iced Tea felt a bit off - it was kind of watery. That said, their banh mi is still solid and worth it! Overall, I prefer their Elmhurst location better.

    Kimchi fries fried chicken
    bianca b.

Super crunchy and big chicken wings! I loved the sweet & sour sauce on the side even though the hot was not actually spicy. The fries are not so great and the kimchi fries had way too much spicy mayo the fries were so drenched you couldn't taste anything else.

Bulgogi customized w little veggies for the kiddo.

Loved the bulgogi vietnamese sandwich ($15). Bread is fresh, well toasted and kid-approved.

    Love their decor

Service is either a bit slow, they were backed up or they don't work on your app orders until you arrive and ask for it. Still, not exactly egregious and I'm trying to be understanding, though how they get backed up with 5 workers behind the counter is a little confusing. Still, the service is always friendly and the shop is cute so it's a good reminder to slow down and take it all in. Ambience is fine. Dark walls but well lit. Batches of seats up front and in the back separated by the service counter. Lots of Knick knacks for sale. They've got some pastries and sandwiches but I've never sampled them so I don't have much to add. I usually get some kind of Americano and the coffee flavors really come thru without excess bitterness. I'll also note, they've fixed their cups. Early on, their coffee cups to go used to leak but that's been rectified at least for the past few months. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a proper brew.

Most people on a weekend afternoon are here working. From a practical standpoint, the tables are higher than what, so get ready to sit real upright if you're going to do work here. *Seasonal caramelized banana matcha latte: 2/5. the banana flavor does not come through and texturally odd to have semi-hard banana solids at the bottom of the drink. *Molly sea salt latte: has both jasmine tea and espresso over milk, topped with a salty cold foam. 3.5/5. The jasmine is the most prominent flavor. I think this drink might benefit from less milk, so that the espresso can still come through.

Pistachio Latte 9/10 HK Style Sandwich 6/10 Madeleines 6/10 - Too thick and cakey for my liking. It tasted more like a dense cake than a light madeleine.

I was actually at the area to grab a couple of other items, including bubble tea and found out that they were having a promotion for their app. If you download their app and log in using your phone number, your first drink from the shop is $0.99! I took this opportunity to sign up right away and try their Strawberry Crema Latte. This was definitely the right move! We ordered this as 50% sugar (I usually drink my bubble tea with 30% sugar) and it was perfectly sweet. I would definitely recommend trying this if you like strawberry milk, the 50% sugar also allowed for the bitterness of the coffee to sneak up as well which gave it the prefect balance of lightly sweet and bitter. It tasted like a melted Strawberry Coffee iced cream. The service was very quick and I would definitely be back to try more drink items!

When the food arrived it was piping hot we had to wait a bit before eating the fried foods. The salad was a good portion very satisfying, the cod, shrimp fish & chips was kind of disappointing there was only 3 shrimps and 1 piece of cod with fries buried under them. The fried squid was okay, kind of dry, and a takoyaki was pretty good. We got the English breakfast tea which was pretty standard, we also got the fruit tea which was kind of overwhelming I think the mix of fruits was a bit too much so avoid the Prince Passion Fruit Tea. For dessert we got the matcha ice cream, tiramisu, and the trio combo with the red bean ice cream pate de choux, the green tea financier, and the fruit tart. The fruit tart was very tiny and had a unriped mango on it, the green tea financier was pretty good, and the red bean ice cream pate de choux was okay, I think next time we'll just get 3 of the ice cream pate de choux because it's more worth the value. The tiramisu was kind of bland there was no espresso flavor in it. Overall the staff were very friendly and paid close attention to our table to make sure plates were cleared and took attention to when we wanted anything else. The ambiance is pretty nice, and the decor is cute. But next time we will probably avoid the fish & chips, fruit tart, fruit tea and tiramisu. Our bill came up to $100 for 3 people we probably would have spent about the same amount of money at a restaurant with real food, but it was nice how we were able to get small appetizers.
