Super nice staff that fully explained the oyster shucking process and was well versed on the local varieties available. So happy we stopped! Good quality oysters. Great view of the bridge. Convenient location and ample street parking.

The Service and Food at Jolie Rodger was outstanding. During our trip along the coast of Maine we found Jolie Rodger and was recommended to stop by some locals we had met, the service was friendly and inviting. We sat at the bar and had drinks, Hummus plate and Oysters. The food was outstanding, the oysters were shucked and plated in front of you and they were extremity sweet and tender, the Hummus plate was very flavorful. The conversation with the bartender was very inviting we had mentioned we were touring the area and were given additional places to visit that the locals know about. Would absolutely recommend a stop while traveling through Wiscasset.

Loved our food- oysters are stellar and shucked to perfection! Menu options mostly seafood but non seafood options as well. Got half dozen raw oysters, baked oysters, and smoked mussel toast- all bomb. Margarita was on point but the martini was a little watery sadly. Will def be back again

Stopped at Jolie Rodgers for happy hour and had fantastic oysters. Sat outside and enjoyed the river. Service was great. Again, the oysters were fabulous!

    Dozen mixed oysters

Was in Wiscasset for two nights and saw a listing for this place. The photography on their website was excellent, and the menu looked appealing. It was exactly what I wanted. It's right on the river, and is very sleek and stylish in a minimalistic way. The staff was friendly, the oysters were top notch (my favorites were the ones the owners grow), and I had a lovely chat with Andy, one of the co-owners. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area.

I can't believe I just tried OystHers for the first time. It is the absolutely most perfect oyster…read morebar. It has all the credentials for perfection...outdoor seating overlooking a body of water...in this case the beautiful Kennebec River, including a spectacular view of the big bridge over it. Watching boats go by, and people walking in the walking path to get to the park right next door...perfect for people and dog watching. Plus, OysHers allows well behaved dogs at the outdoor seating area. The menu includes MANY varieties of sparking wines, including a mimosa flight, and all local oysters, all sourced from women-owned oyster farmers, plus they have their own oyster farm as well. The menu does include a few non-seafood items, such as the classic Maine red hot dog. The menu also includes some caviar in case there is a need for a special occasion caviar celebration. There are a variety of seating options outside and inside. There are firepit tables with Adirondack chairs, regular tables and chairs, picnic tables, and high top tables. There is a beautiful display of the days oyster selection inside on ice. The ordering process is simple...order what you want at the register, tell them where you're seated (we were are fire pit #2) and they bring your order to you. You can start a tab or pay as you go. Each table has a little sign that says what the table name/number is. We went on a Wednesday afternoon so we did not try the fire pit. It is a great reason to go back. We tried the mimosa flight (orange, grapefruit, cranberry, and lemon) and a flight of oysters (4 different varieties). I couldn't tell you which one was best...they were all perfect. I especially loved how expertly they were shucked and cut loose. Every oyster slid out of its shell without any resistance and each oyster had all of its liquor. They were perfectly clean and chilled and served with lemon, a cocktail sauce and a delicious mignonette. My friend also tried a local canned cocktail, Dasch seltzer, that was excellent...not too sweet, lots of blueberry flavor. I can't wait to go back!

The Crabster sliders were excellent and the chicken salad (ordered on a roll instead of sliders) was plentiful and very tasty. Great cocktail, mocktail, and wine selection. We got to sit on the back patio and enjoy the river view. Well behaved dogs are welcome on the patio. Orders go in at the bar and servers deliver to the table. Polite, smiling, friendly service. Not a ton of parking immediately in front but it's super easy to walk from the many municipal parking areas downtown. Highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for a comfortable and delicious spot for a bite and a beverage.

The atmosphere of this wine shop is completely retro and fun. Great old records for sale, vintage clothes rack out back for some thrift shopping, fun and fresh bottles of wine to take home. We sat right at the bar next to the records were playing and the owner switched records frequently and always had something fun playing. The wine here was so much fun - as someone who works in wine sales it's always refreshing to see a bar changing what wines they serve and have something new open every day. They don't have a set wine list, i believe they just choose what they want when they want and display what they are serving by the glass on a shelf behind the bar. I love that idea so you can go often and always be able to try something new. I would have had some snacks along with my wine if we had not just come from lunch but i will definitely be back since this menu always changes with what is fresh. A great spot in this area and i'm excited to go back already.

Thankfully we made it for their last open weekend for 2021! Service was extremely friendly - and we learned a ton about the winery and their practices. My husband listened to a podcast about the winery (which is why we'd wanted to visit), and the owner used to plow only using a horse. They have since switched to more modern ways - but I love that their wines are all-natural and with as minimal intervention as possible. The wines themselves are fantastic!! We had a 1/2 pour of each of the six offerings (sparkling white morphos, sparkling rose morphos, Chardonnay, cab franc, merlot and a cider) and I truly was surprised to find they are all GREAT!!! The sparkling white and Chardonnay were my favorites, but the reds were nice and dry and full of flavor. The cider was also dry and tart - it is lovely! The rose morphos was a bit too sweet for me, but tasty nonetheless! We will absolutely be back next time we are in the area!

It's a big ol' barn full of haphazard seating at and away from the bar. There's a good selection of wines, and the casual atmosphere only got better during our stay as more people filed in and filled the place up more. But even without a crowd, it was a peaceful spot to sit and decompress for a bit after a busy several days hiking at the national park and driving around Maine. The wine was very tasty, with my wife saying one of the sparkling wines she had was particularly good. I went with a blueberry wine because Maine, right? Also quite good, as well as thematically appropriate. Shoutout to the cute pup who greeted us when we pulled into the parking lot and walked us to the front door. He was chilling on welcome-dog duty when we left a while later haha. Great mascot. Great place.
