We came to this place on the recommendation of a couple friends that we met while on a cruise in Miami we do not have these in Indiana so I'm always looking for a good chicken place to check out and this place did not disappoint Upon walking in, we opted to order on the kiosk so we could take our time ordering and decide what we wanted. When I first went in. I was a little skeptical however, the dining room and restrooms both were extremely clean and everyone that we encountered was really nice. It wasn't your typical fast food establishment. I opted to try the two piece spicy chicken with the Palabok fiesta which is something I had never had before, so I wanted to give it a try. The chicken was super crunchy and juicy and packed full of spicy nuts and flavor. The palabok was actually really delicious. I definitely never had anything like that before and I'm actually not even sure how to describe it but it was worth a try and it definitely has a little bit of an Indian flair to. It is about the best way I can describe it. I do know that it is Filipino food. My hubby opted for the two piece spicy chicken with the jollie spaghetti which is definitely not a combination that I would typically think of however, the spaghetti was flavorful. It had a little bit of a sweetness to it and somehow oddly paired well with the fried chicken I would absolutely come back here again, the mashed potatoes and gravy, however was just OK. The food is very fresh, the chicken turnaround time is so fast that it's practically made to order. Not pictured are the pies we had for dessert which are also very delicious and freshly made! Came in to try the new KATSEYE collab and it did not disappoint. Ordered online and while that is convenient, it's only partly helpful since the wait time given wasn't accurate. Waited to order till we were closer since it said it was only a 5 minute wait and still had to wait a while even after the drive there. As for the KATSEYE chicken, it's a sweet and spicy sticky sauce on their regular friend chicken or sandwich. We tried both a bucket and a sandwich. Not sure if the sandwich was worth it as the bun and toppings kind of muted the sauced up chicken. The bucket though was fire and while not as crispy (due to the sauce) the flavor more than made up for it. If you like Korean BBQ flavor then I'd definitely make sure you get to try this before the collab is finished as it says it's limited time. read more

Wanted to try something new so we decided on Jollibees. I did read the reviews before hand, some I agree with and some I don't. First I agree that they do seem a bit disorganized. As I waited for my meal I observed how they operated. They had maybe 3-4 cooks preparing the food. And 3 up front trying to fix the orders to go out. I did get helped through the line fairly quickly, but after that I think I waited at least 15 minutes or so before my to go order was ready. As I waited I noticed all three workers that were behind the counter were filling the orders, but not one of them took the time to notice not one, but two customers that were waiting in line to place their order for quite some time. I did notice them turn around and look at them after they had been waiting for a good 5 minutes or so, but even then no one stopped to take their orders. Finally from the back a young man comes over to help them, but only after he took his time changing out the receipt paper. Once I received my to go order and took it home I couldn't wait to see how it tasted because most of the reviews said the food was good. Well, that's where I disagree. My "spicy"chicken sandwich had no taste. Very bland and the meat was crunchy instead of juicy. The fries were very greasy and my husband's Mac and cheese and rice were un edible. For an established restaurant, this location is very disorganized. For starters, The floors had food crumbs and most of the tables had not been cleaned. No napkins, straws, nor condiments were available unless you asked the employee. The cashier was very friendly and seemed to be the only one that knew what was going on. I finally got to try this place while on a business trip in the area. We have one location in Orlando, but it's on the other side of town and quite a long drive for me, so the timing here was perfect. I ordered a 3-piece spicy combo with a side of mashed potatoes and the infamous spaghetti. The chicken was delicious. It was very juicy, and as you bite into it, you can see the spicy seasoning inside. Super crispy and very satisfying. In my opinion, this spicy fried chicken has an edge over Popeyes. The spaghetti was a big surprise. The sauce is on the sweet side, and the pasta was al dente. It was pretty good and I would definitely try it again. The mashed potatoes? Decided to order from here for my Dad's birthday because he lovesssss friend chicken. I ordered on the app well in advance but much to my dismay when I got there I had to wait 20 minutes because they were busy. I normally wouldn't care but I ordered this the day before for the sole reason of not wanting to have to wait. The store was chaos, people all over waiting and the place was pretty trashed because of how busy they were. Lots of people waiting just inside the door. The drink station area looked like it had been through something chaotic as well, and there were no napkins or silverware packs available. I did wind up asking where my order was and they started on it then, 25 minutes past when I had asked for it to be done. The food itself was good- hot and crispy fried chicken, the mashed potatoes were delish as were the pies. The jury is still out on the spaghetti- I honestly am not sure if I like it or hate it lol. I was so excited to try this place and a few of my Filipino friends told me stories of how this was their go to place growing up in the Philippines. The place was clean and the workers were friendly even making suggestions on what we should try being it was our first time there. We ordered different things to share which was definitely the way to go. We got Chickenjoy fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy as a side, a yum burger, and jolly spaghetti. We had the pineapple drink as our beverage and a mango peach pie for dessert. The chicken was delicious, it was perfectly seasoned and had the perfect crunch to it. I also really liked the mashed potatoes and gravy. One thing to be aware of is the pieces of chicken they serve are only thighs and legs unless you get the chicken sandwich or tenders. The yum burger was good also, just not sure I'd get it again. The spaghetti I wasn't crazy about at all. There wasn't anything wrong with it I just am not a fan of sweet sauces. It also comes with sliced hot dogs in it which were actually pretty good. The pineapple juice was refreshing and so tasty. The mango peach pie was sooo good! I like their spicy chicken and my favorite sides are their mashed potatoes and fries! The reason I prefer the spicy over original is because the spicy to me tastes more seasoned than the regular. I dont understand the hype. The regular fried chicken wasnt good. I like eating the skin but it had all this white stuff underneath it, it was gross. They only have drumsticks and thighs. Buena tardes from sunny S.Fla! There's this fast food chicken joint near my house that I hadnt tried. I dont normally eat fried chicken, but hey I was feeling adventurous. The place has the typical fast food/shopping center vibe when you go in, teenagers and young ppl working the counter, all very friendly. Since i was experimenting, I got a 2pc combo with 2 sides. (Didn't wanna pig out, just in case...). I was pleasantly surprised with the tenderness of the chicken. They gave me 2 drumsticks and a tub of gravy that you're supposed to dunk the meat into. My sides were mashed potatoes and jolly spaghetti. So the gravy was pretty silky, no clumps, alone it doesn't really wow me. Tastes like brown gravy. But when you take a piece of chicken and dunk it, the gravy wakes up. Maybe it's because of the spices on the chicken, but it actually did taste better. The jolly spaghetti, well it threw me. I had flashbacks of my childhood when mom would cut up hotdogs and throw them in the sauce and pour it all over! The spaghetti was cooked just right, not mushy or hard. It didn't taste as if they were sitting in water all day or reheated. The sauce was a sweet savory combo, a little reminiscent of honey baked beans n franks. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, buttery and light. One could tell they're packaged, but still pretty good. All in all, I was pleased with my experience. I was in the area and hadn't tried Jollibee so I stopped in for a to-go order. I was greeted by a very friendly worker who was helpful in giving me recommendations on what to get. I got a 3pc spicy chicken with a biscuit and spaghetti. I also got one of the ube pies for dessert. The chicken and gravy were so good! I definitely enjoyed how spicy and crispy the chicken was. The spaghetti was very different and unusual. The sauce is sweet, savory and served with sliced hotdogs and melted cheese. I enjoyed it but probably would skip next time. The ube pie was very fresh and had a great flakey crust and wasn't too sweet. The restaurant was clean and my food was ready very quick. I've had Jolibee before but now they brought one closer, so there isn't a need to drive Jax or Orlando. I personally don't loooove Jolibee, but I will eat it if it is there. I know my family has never tried it before so I bought some for them. I got the half and half fried chicken, palabok, peach mango pies and the coconut pineapple pies. My dad enjoyed the chicken and palabok. My favorite that I know never fails me is the palabok, so savory and fragrant. I never had the coconut pineapple pie before, I thought it was decent. Let's talk about it. I was really hoping to like this place, I've seen some pretty cool videos online. We ordered a bunch of things including their regular fried chicken, the Korean barbecue fried chicken, the spaghetti, chicken sandwich, the rice and a dessert. Everything was a complete fail, except for the regular chicken sandwich. The Korean barbecue fried chicken was barely edible, way too much sauce. The spaghetti was absolutely gross, I can't believe people are raving about this on the Internet. The fried chicken sandwich was mayonnaise with a a hint of chicken. I placed a takeout order from this location a few days ago, and overall, I can't complain, you get what you expect. This place is quite popular, and the food can be a hit or miss. One item for me is the mango peach pie, I love it. It's not too sweet, packed with a generous amount of filling, and the crust is light, crispy, and slightly sweet, topped with a dusting of crystallized sugar. I could easily eat three of these. However, the food is a bit inconsistent. The fried chicken can be perfect one time and not so perfect the next. During this visit, the chicken was a bit greasier than I would have liked. Yes, it's fried chicken, so some grease is expected, but this batch felt almost saturated in oil. Other times, the chicken is perfectly spicy, tender, and less oily, so it's hit or miss. On the plus side, I really appreciate how generous they are with the gravy. Dipping the crispy chicken into warm, flavorful gravy is a must. I also love that when you order the spicy chicken option, it actually packs a punch. You can see the spices! This is definitely my spot when I'm craving fried chicken. I just wish the chicken wasn't quite as greasy, though that could have been due to the pieces that were at the bottom of the bucket or the last to be packed.
