This was our first time visiting the location in Pembroke Pines. It's near to our house. The store was clean. The food was decent. I had a chicken sandwich with the bacon and some sort of creamy sauce on it with a side of fries. Hubby had a roasted four piece with rice, beans, and plantains. My daughter got a six piece of nuggets meal with fries. For dessert, I ordered a caramel flan and churros. I ordered ahead of time online, my order was ready in less than 20 minutes. I was able to pick it up through the drive-through. The only issue I had was that they forgot my caramel flan. I went online and emailed to the address that they had on the bag if there were any ordering issues and to my surprise, I got a call in less than an hour. It was a lady named Katy and she told me that I could come and pick up the caramel flan or get a refund. I wanted a refund, but I needed to come back to the store to do it so I told her I'll just pass by again and get the flan since I needed to go out and run errands in the area. So I went back in to get the flan, the guy in the front ended up, giving me one that he had just removed from the freezer. No sweat because I was not gonna eat it immediately. As I was walking to the car, the girl Katy that called me ran me down in the parking lot as I was getting into my car and gave me a flan that they had thawed out for me when they spoke to me on the phone earlier. She also gave me some coupons for $5 off on our next visit. It was nice that they took accountability for their missing my flan and they remedied it right away. That for me speaks volumes in terms of customer service because they made it right and in fast timing. I was impressed and I would definitely come back and recommend to my family and friends. read more

After being a lifelong fan of that "other" chicken restaurant, I was excited to have a new one open up to try. My bowl was pretty good! My husband's meal was "ok". Chicken was dry, plantains were mushy and the empanada was not as good as others in the area. Restaurant itself was super clean and it was fast to get our food. I went in to the new location in Pembroke Pines, and give it a try food was good I tasted both fried and grilled and it was very good and tender as well as the sides. Service was not what I expected but they have time to better that department. Vibe and atmosphere was very fast paced and busy. Brand new Day 1 - Drive thru open only, at this time, after months of waiting Chicken is juicy and seasoned but different sauces are available, you can get individual chicken pieces or nuggets and chicken sandwiches. They have a variety of sides, red beans & rice or mac n' cheese, yucca. They will also be serving Breakfast options. Service is a little clunky as everyone is getting familiar with the food and operation. The location is modern and nice looking freestanding building. read more

I'm still debating if they are better than other "fast food" chicken spot. But I do have to say that it was delicious. Chicken was fresh and was not super greasy. For sides we tried the Mac and cheese and the yucca fries. Maybe is because This location is new but the service was amazing. Food is taken to you if it is dine in and is on a real plate and real silverware. Combos don't include a drink so that's extra. I look forward to try their grill chicken and sandwiches. read more

First time trying Pollo Campero, this is one of their newer locations that just recently opened. The service was good but the food was disappointing and portions were very small in my opinion. I ordered the 2 piece meal grilled chicken with campero rice. The side order of rice was basically a toddler size and lacked flavor. The grilled chicken was just ok, nothing memorable. Maybe the fried chicken is better, if I ever go back I'll try that instead. read more

Ordered to go, this is a brand new location just opened. Drive through was very busy. It was very frustrating to order because the girl couldn't here me even though I was yelling. And I could barely understand what she was saying. We ordered a meal with 8 pieces white meat. The sides coleslaw and fried yuca fries. The person ringing up order seemed stressed out. He was not very friendly. I asked for sauce options he said it's in the bag. I checked nothing in bag. He asked then what flavor do you want? I asked 1 of each of the 3 he mentioned. He gave me 3( at home saw they were all ranch). Also 1 of the sauce was not tightly closed spilling over all the containers. Food was ok, coleslaw and yuca were great. Chicken was too much spices on the batter. I hope management fixes the communication issue via drive thru. I hope the person cooking realizes that sometimes with spices less is more. read more

I went through the drive- thru. Order two 6 piece nuggets and a grilled 2 piece combo with a side of fries. My son enjoyed his nuggets. The fries were ok. The grilled chicken was really good. A zest lemon taste. A bit crisp on the skin. Very good and juicy. The one person I interacted with was very manner-able and friendly. As soon as I arrived to the front window, my food was ready. Only downside was the combo nothing coming with a drink. I spent about $30. Expensive but I'll Come back. read more

OMG! What did I just eat (really more like picked over)?! I decided to try this new place Pollo Compero that recently opened up close to home. I ordered their Compero bowl! It's a No for me! Just blah. It was a fried chicken finger whole, a few sprigs of spring mix, a dab of guac, corn, 5 whole cherry tomatoes, white rice, and a sprinkle of some cheese. A brand new Pollo Campero in our neighborhood. Has been open several weeks & time to try. The service is excellent. Questions answered & helpful advice given. The food came out quickly. We ate inside. The tables were clean & a young woman was there to help with extra napkins, etc. The plates & utensils clean & ample. We had a two piece grilled dinner with yuca fries & a four piece fried chicken dinner with fries & beans. The fries were cold & dried out. The beans were warm & tasty. The yuca fries very cold. We did enjoy the chicken. Meaty & hot. The Horchata was a disappointment. Very watery with chocolate vibes. We will return again. Next time will try empanadas also. read more

The chicken was decent, however pretty much everything in my order was incorrect. 5 nuggets (ordered 9), incorrect drink, and no sauces (ordered 2). Pretty disappointed with that order as the wait time was also much longer than expected for a drive through that was not busy. read more
