I always forget this place exists. Then I pop in and I wonder why I don't go more often! Hungry after all the Black Friday shopping. I got the honey chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato (gotta be healthy, right?) so good! The bun is sweet. PDQ is known for their sauces but I went with the normal honey mustard and honey bbq. PDQ is good chicken. I remember when this one opened and the lines wrapped around the building. Today, I was hungry and it was raining so I used the drive thru and then ate inside. They made the sandwich protein style for me which was nice. The staff member was friendly too. She asked me to stay at the first window with her until the food was ready. We chatted for a bit and I could tell that she has a great personality. I tried their BlackBerry green tea. It was okay at best. Would I go here again? Maybe in a pinch. read more

I haven't been to PDQ in awhile and had to give it another try. I ordered a classic chicken sandwich combo which came with fries and a drink. Now my favorite chicken sandwich spot by far is Chick Fil A and unfortunately this didn't surpass or even get on to the same level. The sandwich was your average chicken sandwich. I'd say that was the closest on par with Chick Fil A. However, the fries were very dry and needed more salt or flavor akin to CFA. Also, I am just not a fan of the flavor of soft drinks from a Coke freestyle machine. It's never close to the older soft drink machines with only a handful of options and that is the biggest disappointment. The syrup and ratio for the flavoring is just never right or the same as how it should be. That's another reason why CFA surpasses it. Overall, I would go back to PDQ, but I wouldn't go out of my way to give it another try. read more

This location has been consistent since I started coming when it opened years ago. Like with many fast food chains, it's gone through its share of changes but the quality has always remained solid. The drive thru is efficient & even when there's a lot of cars I never seem to wait too long. There's a good amount of seating inside & the dining area is kept clean. Friendly employees also make the visits nice. The chicken tenders are juicy with a nice breading on them that's seasoned well. My only complaint is their sizes are inconsistent so you may not know exactly how big your order is going to be. As far as sandwiches go, I love the honey butter, buffy bleu & grilled chicken. The variety is nice. The portion sizes of the sandwiches are pretty good. They're also always coated perfectly in sauce. I haven't had many issues with my orders here but the very few times somethings happened, it's been handled quickly. I highly recommend using the app when ordering because the points add up fast. Family night and we are so excited to try PDQ with the kids. We loved the atmosphere here with staff very welcoming. You can see the entire cooking area from the front and was blown how clean & organized the kitchen is. But very disappointed with my spicy chicken sandwich 2 bites in and ate raw chicken. I used to come here but first time back in 2 years. The prices have gone through the roof and quality is way down. I was shocked to see an 8 piece nuggets for $8. I can see that per wing at a sit down restaurant but not at a drive thru. 3 of the 8 nuggets weren't even chicken but just pieces of per fired batter. Last week after a very long stressful day at work, I did one of my after work shenanigans, and that is getting food into my belly. I decided to go to PDQ because I was in the same vicinity as the restaurant. I went to the drive through and decided to order their original spicy chicken with their seasoned waffle fries and a lime Ginger. As always, PDQ hits as usual but I had to take one star away because, as I was finishing my chicken sandwich the last couple of bites it felt like I was biting into raw chicken. I felt like they needed to cook it a bit longer. The salads are pretty good and so are the sandwiches. The chicken nuggets are a hit or miss. The last two times I've ordered the chicken Nuggets they were cold or burnt. Unfortunately I did not realize it until I got home. They no longer serve tater tots and French fries and some veggies are they're only options. They don't move with efficiently so it took us about 10min to get our food. Definitely know what you want before coming. I needed to get a salad since I had not eaten lunch and PDQ was close. They no longer add the dressing and shake it for you, which is annoying because it's in a tight bowl and I almost dropped it trying to add. I always ask for extra honey mustard because they always give you this small container that barely covers the top. I also wish they would cut the chicken up more because the chunks are way too big in a salad. Other than that I love PDQ even though it can be rather expensive. Chicken may not be as holy as Chik-Fil-A, but how can PDQ chicken be so bad when it taste so good! I tried this place out on a whim that I was in the area. The food did not disappoint. Chicken is tender and the sauces are addicting, especially the PDV and sweet siracha. I had the 5 chicken finger combo for 12.XX. The fries are good and the chicken even better. Dip, bite repeat. For a first timer, I want to say on taste alone, it rivals with Chik-Fil-A, definitely better than Canes Chicken...IMHO. If you never tried it and contemplating, I recommend you take the plunge. Anyway, the food is off the charts and I must say the other chicken place does not hold a candle to PDQ. The fries are better, the food options are better and I have had two milkshakes in the last two years, guess where they both were??? Yup, you got it! The spicy chicken Sammy was awesome with just the right amount of everything. Lastly, the service, the young ladies were so friendly and helpful, all with a smile on their face. After a day of running errands, I decided to stop at PDQ. I have eaten here a couple times and was craving the flavor. I was trying to eat healthier and decided to go against the grain and order a bowl instead of my usual chicken sandwich that is fried with fries. I ordered the grilled Cali Bowl. It had white rice, steamed broccoli, black beans and grilled chicken. I chose my dressing and asked for a side of buffalo sauce to give the bull some Flair. My bowl turned out hot and fresh. The rice had a great consistency, cooked just right. I thought the black beans were pretty bland. The steamed broccoli was abundant. I don't think I've ever been served them much broccoli anywhere. The grilled chicken had a smoky flavor to it. I always get the fried chicken at PDQ and was pleased with the grilled chicken. It is a really nice alternative. I also ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade. I was not impressed with the taste of this. It did seem fresh but the flavor was off. It was way too tart, and I do like tart lemonade. I went up to ask for a refill. I was not sure this was included because it was not at the drink bar at, an employee had to get the refill for you. I waited about five minutes for a refill because there were two other customers who were not too happy. I overheard one saying she ordered a Cali club sandwich not a Cali Bowl. Ironically, the person who rang up my order originally ring in a Cali club sandwich. I am guessing this mix-up happens often. Next time, I will go back to the fried chicken sandwich and fries or maybe try the tots that were advertised. There was nothing wrong with my bowl but it was just a little not exciting. We visited this location on 2/19/23 around 6pm. People Dedicated to Quality, it seems the staff working this shift seems to have no regard for the brand's fundamental element: QUALITY. We ordered two "Jacked Spicy" sandwiches which are supposed to be spicy breaded chicken breast sandwiches and include pepper jack cheese. Neither sandwich had any type of cheese and all of the breading on the chicken breast fell off before being able to take a second bite. Not to mention the lack of hygiene in the bathrooms and throughout the dining area, consisting of sticky, dirty tables and garbage on the floor. There was even visible garbage on the floor throughout the kitchen area. Definitely won't be coming back to this location but it's disappointing to see a place with an unquestionable standard like PDQ being affected by the effortless staff syndrome which appears to be more and more common. read more

I had a buffy bleu sandwich which consists of two buffalo bleu chicken tenders in between a soft bun. I believe it is new to their menu. It was very tasty. The buffalo bleu sauce was just right, not too spicy and not too wimpy. My friend and I both thought that the sandwiches were a little on the small side. I also ordered a side of fries as did my tablemate. The fries were cold. I asked for new ones and about 8 or 9 minutes later , the lady at the counter remembered my name and called me to get the fries. There was no rush to get them to my friend and me. We were more than done with our sandwiches because we did not want them to get cold. We also got shakes. Mine was Vanilla. The shake was very high quality. I did not have much of it since I ate a lot of fries and my sandwich already. I'm going to save the rest of it for tomorrow. I also got a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie to take home. I still have not eaten that because I am still full from dinner. I can say that they were out of my preferred flavor of cookie, chocolate chip. There were only two cookies left and the one I got was in good shape the other one was broken. The restaurant is very clean. I love how they have a sink on the outside of the bathroom where you can step on the floor to start the water running. It is a great idea and makes for a germ free experience. Whoo hoo!! PDQ... People Dedicated to Quality -- at least that's what their website says. And honestly, I'm going to hold on to that notion and give them three starts in hopes of updating that on my next visit. I've seen this location, conveniently situated on the corner of Pines Blvd and Hiatus Rd, a number of times. I never really thought of visiting until recently when a 9-year old at my sons daycare told her parent she wanted PDQ for lunch. Message received. LOL. Give it a try! So, on my recent visit to the mall with my own kiddo (who was hungry and tired), I decided to hit the drive thru to check out their options. Actual drive thru is an interesting setup. You come up to the menu board first and make your selections. However, you have to drive up to the first window where your order is taken and payment is collected. You then proceed forward where you collect your food and drinks. Everything went very smoothly and I was greeted with a smile at each step. The food left something to be desired, in my opinion. For my kiddo, I got the Grilled Nuggets kids meal and for myself the Jacked Spicy Chicken Sandwich. My kid loves chicken nuggets and was not impressed at all. He barely ate two and honestly, I didn't like them either. I thought they were dry, probably from being overcooked. We devoured the waffle fries! My sandwich was tasty but because it's tenders, not a breast, it's not proportionate. I basically ended up eating it as if the tenders came alone (kind of defeats the point). Best tenders + sauces combo in the game in my opinion. I like to get spicy tenders/nuggets and 1 of each sauce and just go hard. Makes chick-fil-a tenders taste like trash imo, and raising canes is great but only having 1 sauce is pretty weak. I have always had a great experience at this location. My one complaint would be that on a few occasions several tables were sticky / neglected, so I had to try 3/4 tables before finding a clean one. Definitely something to make sure you are more on top of. I see a lot of bad reviews due to undercooked chicken, and in my 20+ visits I've never experienced it. Though I will keep an eye out for it, definitely something the restaurant needs to be on top of. read more

This is a late review... My daughter was in the mood for fries so we came here to grab something quick for dinner. I ordered the Queso Crunch Bowl which has crispy chicken, rice, black beans, scallions, tomatoes, scallions, corn, drizzled queso & Fritos. Unfortunately it was so cold inside that when I got my food, the queso that was drizzled on top had congealed but the food that was underneath was warm (hence the reason for the 3 stars). I, personally, would have liked a little more Fritos in it. My daughter ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich with zucchini fries. Lol. Honestly I forget PDQ exists most of the time. I had never heard of it until I moved to South Florida. The food is awesome! This is one of those places where you can taste the quality of the food. I'll eat anything from the tenders, salad, zucchini fries (and I don't even eat zucchini) and sandwiches. The shakes are nice and super thick! My favorite and what I had today was the Honey Butter chicken sandwich with bacon (and a lemonade). I didn't get the fries because I'm trying to cut back on calories! But from chick fill a or Popeyes. But this did just fine. Came in and was greeted and the workers were already ready to take our order. So at that point I knew it was a fast food restaurant just like Popeyes or chick fil a. Although they didn't have a spicy chicken sandwich I went with the grilled Cali club sandwich. 6$ for just the sandwich was a bit much but it did come with guac. Let me start by saying, this place was fantastic when it first opened. The portions were huge, you got giant containers for sauce, lots of fries. Now, the chicken is really good, nothing has changed about the chicken, it's A plus. Now today I ordered a regular 5 pc and a spicy 5 pc meals with creamy garlic sauce. Now I'm partly to blame for not check my food. I got two 5pc spicy chicken, fine, not a huge deal. Then I got what in McDonald standard is a small fry, and these weren't even waffle fries, they were regular fries, not very good. The sauce containers have been cut down to a quarter, you dip 5 fries in it, it's all gone. So they gave me the wrong sauce as well, which is disappointing Because they have really good sauce.
