Oh Jollymore's, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways... I've been here every time my work travels take me to Lewiston. And I have been here several times over the years. Every dish I've had was phenomenal! I usually order the Snake River steak - sometimes it's flat iron or tri tip, which can be tough types of beef, but somehow they tenderize and cook it so it's like a tenderloin. On occassion, I'll order the duck breast, and once again Jollymore's excels in it's preparation! Their wine list is pretty great, it does showcase wines within the Tri-State area, but also some other domestic wines from CA. Jollymore's is my absolute favorite dining destination in Lewiston, ID. I will come every night they are open! I've been here pre- and post-pandemic! They are obviously not immune to the work shortages or supply chain issues, but the excellent service does not suffer from those. The staff are great, major shout out to Jessica and Dennis!

We had a very nice dinner at Jollymores, we had a family get together and stopped in on a Thursday. Our server was very friendly, and did his best to answer all of our questions about the ingredients and menu items. Some of the dishes we tried were the Pork Chop, Steak, fish specia, beef short rib and the duck. The pork chop with sweet potatoes and pecans was insanely good, everything else was tasty and of ample quantity, really fresh and yummy. We shared a scoop of huckleberry ice cream for dessert, OMG this was delightful!!! The interior is a little old school fancy and could be modernized but overall a nice dining experience m.

"Gyro" Can't say I've ever seen a piece of gristle like that in any gyro I e ever had.

The restaurant had a quaint downtown feel with a welcome lack of pretension. And the food was 5-star level. We started with the chilled caprese which was light and delicious. The balsamic drizzle, one of my favorites, really added to the depth of flavor. My wife ordered the salmon which came with a phenomenal sauce. It was tangy and tasted of dill and really elevated an already flavor- packed meal. I had the Thai pasta dinner which was a fusion of Thai flavors with an Italian flair. It will be one of my new favorites with the Thai spices in the sauce covering spiral noodles. If you are looking for fancy food with a "friend next door" vibe. Brava's is for you.

I had the burger and we also tried the Thai noodle salad, and both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We loved it so much that we came back the next night. The owner greeted us again and personally got us seated, which made the experience feel even more special. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and we shared the sun-dried tomato Tuscan chicken pasta -- both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The owner even surprised us with a complimentary steak bites appetizer that was incredibly tender and seasoned perfectly. Amazing food, outstanding service, and such a warm atmosphere both nights. If you're looking for a great place to eat, we highly recommend stopping in. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

We got there right around 6PM on Monday. There were only two other parties there so service was pretty quick. I think we got our food without 15 or 20 minutes. Chicken Fried Steak Burger ($15.49) - Starting with the meat, we have a pork chop that's breaded and fried. The pork still has a bit of fat and gristle attached and doesn't seem to be tenderized that much given a somewhat more firm bite. Still it's meaty, has good seasoning and, while not especially moist, isn't dry either. On the exterior they have a nice layer of breading that's quite salty but adds a good crunch to the sandwich. On top of the meat, there's a fried egg with the egg yolk still runny. Biting through the sandwich allows the yolk to ooze out. They add shredded potatoes to the burger, which I found to be quite week. The potatoes are undercooked, resulting in pieces that have a bit too much raw bite without any additional crisp crunch. There's a peppery and decadent sausage gravy dousing everything, which seems homemade, with larger pieces of breakfast pork pieces. I found the burger to be way too rich and it desperately needs a piquant element to cut through that a little bit. Otherwise it's eating heavy bite after heavy bite and is difficult to get through. Still it's tasty. (3/5) Upgrade Side to Poutine ($2.49) - The burgers come with fresh cut fries by default, but I chose to upgrade to poutine. Apparently if you just ask for poutine, they use tots, but I asked them to switch to fries - and to make them extra crispy. Were they extra crispy? Not at all. If anything, they were more like extra soggy. The fries are clearly single fried and not fried nearly long enough to add any sort of crisp. The brown gravy and queso (tostitos perhaps given the peppers?) taste as expected. With everything together, it's honestly indistinguishable from microwaved leftover poutine. Probably the most disappointing thing I ate that night. (2/5) KC's Burger ($11.49) - The patty is beefy, cooked medium with a bit of pink, and is exceptionally moist and flavorful. They add tons of veggies, including pickle, onion, tomato, and lettuce, giving freshness with every bite. There's a perfect amount of condiments to add additional moisture, but not too much to make the burger messy to eat. This is a solid burger, honestly not much else I can say about it. (4/5) Upgrade Side to Green Bean Fries ($2.49) - I haven't had green bean fries before, so I had to order this. I have to say this was much better than expected - in fact, this was the best thing I ate during the meal. They have a pretty good crisp exterior and the interior green bean is mostly tender but still exhibits a tiny bit of a snap. The green beans are not soggy at all. I would get these over and over again. (5/5) Frybread Slice ($1.49) - This was the last chance to get frybread on our road trip and we took advantage of it. This "slice" is essentially a small doughnut triangle, maybe 4 inches at the widest. The dough is dense and heavy, bready and chewy, folded over in a swirl rather than flattened. The taste has a bit of a subtle sourdoughy taste, but also a bit of bitterness from the oil. It's definitely very different from all the Native American frybreads we had this trip. (4/5) The food at KC's is a bit hit and miss, but if you stay with the burgers and avoid getting the fries, you'll probably leave satisfied. I see a lot of the negative reviews complaining about service, but we didn't have a problem. Perhaps since those reviews were written, the staff has improved? Bathrooms: Two individual rooms ones for each gender in the hallway behind the bar. Overall rating of the food this visit: 3.6/5
