I'm going to start off by saying that the food was AWESOME! I had the steak and seafood entree which was a perfectly cooked steak and a shrimp/crab cream sauce to top it off. Absolutely delicious. Everything else was not bad, just awkward. The whole inside dining space was super hot. Our server was sweating like crazy. Our server was also pleasant but incredibly uncomfortable. He just sort of smiled a lot and lingered to the point where you didn't know how to acknowledge him. I wasn't re-served water until I asked for it and I never received a steak knife for my steak even after I asked for one. We could hear a table next to us get up and leave because they weren't served in a timely manner and in such a quiet space it was pretty awkward. We also had another server take over for us because ours disappeared for a little bit.... Either way, I enjoyed my visit and despite the awkwardness I would still come back. The prices are great, the atmosphere is a little more classy than the surrounding area and overall I wasn't upset with anything. Worth trying again! read more

My only regret is that I'm too full for dessert. Fantastically seasoned filet mignon; the fire pork chop with sweet and spicy pecans was juicy and amazing! Vegetable for the evening was green garbanzo beans-beautiful color, similar to peas, with a firm texture, sauteed to perfection. This definitely is on the list for a return visit. My dad was interested in trying this place, as he's heard good things and it's known for having great dinners. We tried brunch and everyone in our party of 9 had mediocre to negative reviews of the food. I got berry pancakes and they were flavorless, even when using the entire ramekin of fake syrup provided. Tasted like bisquick or some other starchy, bland mix. My husband ordered their special, which was described as cornbread crusted chicken breasts, golden fried over biscuits and country sausage gravy. The chicken was simply packaged, frozen breaded strips over dry biscuits that he said tasted a couple days old and flavorless gravy. My sister in law agreed her waffle and the homemade sausage were both bland, omelettes were all mediocre around the table. The only things that got good reviews for flavor and quality were the potatoes and eggs. Our server was very nice, but struggled to get our orders to the correct person (just ask the table!) and had to run back and forth to the kitchen to grab condiments that could have come out before the food so guests can just start eating. For a place advertised as elegant and with house-made fare our party left extremely disappointed and will not be returning. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by Jollymore's. Amber was very pleasant and manage great timing between drinks and dinner. This place had a top notch wine list with an ample selection by the glass. This place is top notch in pairing food with wine. I asked them to do so and they brought me three choices. All good vineyards and reason ability price. The cod was well prepared as was the vegetable. My only downside was the starch. Tasted too much like the cod. Very nice interior and quiet enough for a conversation without staining. read more

we came about an hour before close and had the MOST wonderful meal!! my friends and i had caesar salads with added grilled chicken, the baked brie, sweet potato fries and all of it was TOP NOTCH. the salad was perfectly dressed, the fries were excellently seasoned, and their lemonades (we got huckleberry and raspberry but they had a multitude of fresh flavors) were delicious too. on top of the great food we had WONDERFUL service from Jessica who was sweet, attentive, and efficient. the ambiance, with the sound of running water and the view of the hills coupled with the truly excellent 'dining experience' made the meal one for the books. read more

On Memorial weekend we had a 25 year reunion of friends. The dinner special was a Tomahawk steak. The 32oz rib-eye steaks were fabulous!!!. If you want the best steak of your life I suggest you call a head and request this! The service was fantastic and the Chef Aaron came out to see if our meal was up to standards. Heard the new owner/chef had improved this restaurant. I was pretty happy with the former restaurant, so I had great expectations of the replacement being "Jollymores". Decent atmosphere, nice linens, beautiful fireplace with warm fire, smiling, attentive and clean wait staff. Clean bathrooms. Quick service to seat us. Started out well. Then it began to unravel. There was a draft at our table and it was cold. The server brought my gluten free meal to me starting with the over priced salad with croutons and didn't offer a replacement, just asked me if the crouton dust would bother me as I picked off the croutons. The dressing was good. Then the meal;, the steaks on the menu had rosemary, I asked for no rosemary. There was a big sprig of it right in the middle of my plate, so I had to dig rosemary needles out of my food. The chef's pick of baby carrots and zuchinni sauted in butter was good and hot. The herbed mashed potatoes with chives and garlic were way over seasoned and very salty. There was also something in it that crunched in my teeth. That shouldn't have happened in mashed potatoes. The rolls which my date consumed were inconsistent. Same roll, but some were hard (as in old or left uncovered), and some soft. They came with different types of seasoned butter. NOT a fan of that. The grill must be of inconsistent flame because part of my steak was black and part of it was still pink in the middle. Most of it was cooked as I requested. The desserts were pretty. My creme brulee was soft, as in a little runny. I was VERY NEGATIVELY IMPRESSED with the server picking up my glass to top off with water and putting her hands where I drink. NOT OK! I didn't think the price was bad at first, but then the salad and dessert were added on the bill and didn't come with the meal so overall the meal was very expensive. And all we had to drink was water. I was looking for a special meal, a special night out to celebrate a birthday and was disappointed. My birthday guest was gracious, but didn't really "enjoy" the meal. I won't be returning. read more

With just the two of us seated we expected that the other two place settings would be removed. They weren't. Then there was the food. The gf and I were looking for a place to eat in Lewiston after 10, and this was one of the only places open. We had heard it was a little pricy, but not TOO bad, so we went in. Looked at the prices on the menu and realized that the prices WERE pretty high, but we decided to splurge and stick around. Noticed they had my favorite food of all time, crab cakes, so that was a must. Oh, and by the way, yes, they give you rolls with a couple nice, flavored butters on the side. That was nice, minus the fact that they only give you 2 small ones per basket. Anyway, got the crab cakes. They sure LOOKED good! First bite...eh...not terrible but not amazing by any means. Food eventually came...I got shrimp scampi pasta. Not too bad. She got the Cajun pasta. Pretty good I suppose. Overall, not mind-blowing food by Any means, but not bad really. To be honest, we probably won't go back again based on what you get for the prices. Mediocre food for far too much moolah. read more

We were driving around Lewiston looking so some place to have dinner and there parking lot was full. Number one rule when from out of town never go to a restaurant with an empty parking lot. It was more up scale than we were dresser for but all was well. Rolls were very good with several different butters. Entrees we good not great but very good. Service was good. Our dinners included excellent warm rolls with 3 flavored butters, delicious entrees of cod, bite-sized steaks and crab cakes, along with side vegetables -- Parmesan crusted zucchini, kale and carrots. A group of guys from my lacrosse team decided to go to Jollymore's. We came in and the place seemed really nice. The rolls were good with great assorted butter. We assumed that the grossly overpriced menu items would be worth it. They weren't. The food got to us after what seemed like an eternity and everyone's meal looked and tasted as if it had been sitting out for 15 minutes before being delivered to us. It was terrible. The service was terrible, too. We were forgotten about since we didn't order alcohol. Then we had to sit around for 20 minutes waiting for the check and reflecting on how bad the experience was. When the waitress came with the check, she said "come back when you're drinking." A slap in the face. Needless to say I did not tip. Jollymore's left us with a bad taste in our mouths. And as athletes, we'll eat anything. So it's saying a lot when everyone in our group was unanimously disgusted with the experience. Jollymore's robbed us of our time and money. read more

The food was good, 4 of us went. However, we didn't order wine or other adult beverages, so we were virtually ignored. Hint: when the menus are stacked up we are really ready to order. Another couple at the adjacent table came in 10 minutes after us, and had their salads before we were able to order our meal (they also had cocktails, hmmm) The server seemed oblivious to us, she seemed to purposely look away from us. We each ordered something different. Wife had short-rib, it was tender and had good flavor, I had bite-size - ordered it to be medium it was a little red. Our friends ordered the pork chop and chicken, they enjoyed it, but were equally disappointed with the service. Food was great, presented well, a little higher price, but our waitress was AWOL, however the girl filling our water / soda was attentive and would notice when we needed refills. We are new to the area and everyone we asked recommended Jollymore's for brunch. Honestly, I don't get it. We were seated quickly - there were plenty of empty tables so I can't explain why we waited almost 15 minutes before a server even came to our table to offer water. We both ordered coffee to start, which took another 5 minutes to come out, with no cream or sugar. We had to ask for that, which you got it - took another minute or two, by which time my coffee was getting cold. All that time waiting gave us an opportunity to notice how filthy this place is. The A/C ducts are coated with dust and grime. There are silk flowers all over the place that are likewise coated in dust. The backs of the chairs of the table in front of us were dirty and coming apart. We should have gotten up and left but we went ahead and ordered. Breakfast finally arrived minus the toast we ordered. I was almost done with my eggs before - after two requests - our toast was finally served with NO BUTTER! We had to ask for butter, which our server brought out one pat at a time! Seriously - she brought us one pat of butter, and when we asked for more she brought one more pat of butter. Ridiculous! I would give this restaurant another try if the food was more than mediocore, which it was not - but only if they give the place a thorough cleaning!!! Disappointed! read more

Warm, inviting atmosphere. Easy to converse while restaurant was crowded. Fantastic food, reasonably priced, presented well, flavored perfectly, delivered timely with friendly service. Every item we ordered was delicious. The breads were hot with flavored butters. Crab cakes crisp, hot, good flavor. The Duck perfectly flavored, crisp outside and tender/juicy inside. Sides cooked just right preserving flavor and texture. Beef bite-size equally tender and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes, delicious. Desert: Bread Pudding, good. Never had bread pudding with nuts. It was interesting. The Crème Brule was the best I have ever had. Creamy pudding with perfectly flavored crust. The coffee was fresh and rich. The service was personable, prompt, and professional. If one a wine lover, this is a place they will enjoy. Bill Jollymore clearly loves what he does! We moved to the Valley from cities rich with fine dining. We are so pleased to have Jollymore's and Station 3 as options. We will return frequently. read more

My wife and I went there for a special occasion. We were greeted immediately at the door. The hostess was not overwhelmingly friendly. We were seated and drinks were offered right away. We just went with water, so I was interested to see if that decision (no alcohol) affected our service like another reviewer mentioned. It did not. The service was perfectly fine and the waiter friendly and outgoing. We never had to ask for our water glasses to be filled, but the girl doing that seemed to be intent on taking our plates-. She asked at least twice if we were done with the second time being, "Now are you done?" We started with the antipasti which included dry salami, proscuitto (sp?), olives, feta, Parmesan and bruschetta. It was all good quality but very salty (to be expected). It was kind of difficult to pair it together. The feta was crumbly and bruschetta very hard, so making kind of a sandwich didn't work well. It might have been better to have included some fresh fruit like grapes or strawberries to break the saltiness factor. I had the short-rib and my wife had bite-sized steak. The quality and flavor of the meet was excellent. Mine was very tender, but my wife didn't like the sauce which was supposed to be a peppercorn demiglase (sp?). It wasn't very peppery and tasted like it might have had too much cornstarch. My wanted her steak very rare and it came back a bit overcooked. She also felt it was too salty. The waiter offered to take it back, but she declined since it was not outrageously bad. My side was carmelized onion risotto which was very good and plentiful. My wife's was some type of seasoned, cheesy mashed potatoes, which were very flavorful but a bit dry. We both had asparagus which was cooked to perfection. read more
