I went today for lunch with my family. The bagels are legit NY bagels, tasty, chewy, and not bready. Our "Firecracker" sandwich, turkey and bacon, was flavorful and the boys liked the chorizo breakfast burrito and "Cowboy" pulled pork sandwich. I understand not being happy without a tip but if theyre gonna expect 20% they should make the food more expensive and pay their employees with that! While on a trip through Cape Cod, we decided to stop here for a quick sandwich. The place is quite small and definitely crammed. Our visit was around 1pm, so I can't speak to what it's like in the morning. There is no table seating available, so be prepared to sit on the lawn chairs out front. We all decided to order custom sandwiches. I got a turkey sandwich on an everything bagel. The food came out quickly, but my first impression wasn't great as they forgot 1 out of the 3 toppings I asked for. The bagel was very doughy and tough to chew. Everything seems to be made with Boar's Head deli meat and cheeses, so the meat and cheese was ok. Overall, it was alright, but I could have made a better sandwich at home. It's a good stop if you're in a pinch, or maybe try it for breakfast instead. read more

Staff is very attentive and friendly, and the service is fast! The place is cute and quaint, but pretty cramped. The bagels are fresh and tasty, but I wish they had more of a variety of flavors like blueberry, french toast, etc. Cream cheese is so yummy and they give you alot of it!! Sandwiches are pretty good and they use Boar's Head, which is my favorite brand. Their smoothies have no flavor in my opinion (not sweet enough at all). A lot of mid Cape eateries close in the winter and/or reduce their hours, even closing two, three, four days a week. The hour reductions have also been influenced by the impacts of Covid. Jo Mama's is open every day! Hurray. My hubby has been here many times when bike riding with boys. This was my first time. We had two wonderful bagel breakfast sandwiches: bacon, egg and cheese on a pumpernickel and veggie omelet on everything. Really good, chewy, warm. The extra bagels we got for day 2 got a little hard, which is not the case when I get good bagels in NYC or NJ. So that was a teeny disappointment. Popped those in the oven for bagel recovery. Nice customer service staff but the bagels were hard and dry. My husband had the Meat Lovers Breakfast Sandwich on a bagel, and the egg and meat tasted prepackaged. His bagel was hard as a rock. It's too bad because the place is quaint. Cappuccino was good. read more

Every time I'm on the cape this place is one of my "go to" places for both breakfast sandwiches and bagels. I order ahead for the bagels because we especially like egg bagels and they can be difficult to find but not here! The quality is excellent and the employees are super friendly and helpful. The best bagels that I've had on the Cape are here. They are the real deal, with dough shipped in from Brooklyn. I was skeptical at first but it really works! They also sell real cream cheese that is thick and delicious and stands up to a toasted bagel (unlike another popular bagel place on the Cape that gives you some whipped crap). And they always have egg bagels...yay! Go here for your bagel fix if you are in the area. read more

We love JoMamas!! We live in Houston but we travel to the Cape every year, and this place is one of our go-to breakfast joints. The bagels and sandwiches are delicious and the service is good as well. Although the outdoor seating is limited, the bagels are very travel-friendly and it's easy to take them with you to a park if you wish. The ambiance inside could be improved (but, to give them credit, it is a tiny space). A highlight is definitely the regular plain bagel, and that one time where all the staff wore turkey hats during thanksgiving (haha). All in all, I would definitely suggest going this place a shot on your next visit to the mid Cape. read more

We went to grab DD coffee but found this place right across the place. The line was long, coffee and food was worth the wait. No seating. You order and the staff brings it out in brown bag. They have many favors of coffee, and NY style bagels. Several topping. Omelets are served with your choice of bagels. I got veggie lovers omelette on Jalapeño bagel and my SO got a burrito. The price is reasonable and tastes really good! There is a art/gift shop next door too if you want to pick up some hand made jewelry and ceramic items. read more

Delicious! And what a cool vibe... Tastes like a real sandwich should. Perfect size for lunch! I ordered the chicken club..real bacon (not the super thin stuff you can barely taste) and got it on gluten free bread. They also have gluten free bagels for breakfast sandwiches. Place was small inside so if during a busy time or summers may be crowded. I'll definitely be back and likely to grab something for take out on my way to the beach. Cute, cute, cute! What was once just NY Bagels has gotten a bit of a funky face lift and become a cute little spot for smoothies, sandwiches and snacks. Snacks that consist of scrumptious mini cinnamon rolls and smoothies made with avocado. Vegan-fying and delicious! The bagels are still NY and are just as good without a toasting as waiting for one with. Slap on somma dat cream cheese and you've got a perfect package. Parking is slim as their aren't many spots, and seating is iffy for the same reason. All items are made to go, so bring it to a nearby beach and quit your whining! read more

Stopped in to get bagels, all are vegan except for the egg and they have tofu cream cheese which was perfect. They also had breaded vegan chicken on the menu for lunch. It was very busy but we were able to sit at a table and enjoy our breakfast. Good place to stop! read more

However, these bagels are not like New York bagels and that just needs to be mentioned. I am from New York, so maybe I just have higher standards, but I was a bit upset with my bagel. I got the Scotia on an everything bagel and it was ok, the fillings were good but the actual bagel was a bit upsetting and not very seasoned. Also, my dad ordered an everything bagel with scallion horseradish creamed cheese and tomato and they forgot his tomato. We tried lunch today... it was good. I felt like Gulliver among the Lilliputs when I first walked in, because immediately inside the door there was a large group of hippy 20--somethings, none of whom was over 5 feet tall. At least they weren't playing hackysack indoors. It was packed, but my order was taken quickly with a smile, and we got our sandwiches fast. We sat at a clean table and there was some very cool artwork to look at... funky painted horseshoe crabs. Not to mention the funky customers to look at... I hadn't seen a bearded woman in Orleans before... other places, yes, just not in Orleans yet. One sandwich was a mozzarella, tomato, basil, EVOO (which apparently means extra virgin olive oil) and balsamic vinegar. My friend had chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts. The sandwiches were delicious... but small. If you're used to a $5 footlong from Subway, you'll leave Jo Mama's hungry after your $7 5-inch-long sandwich. Would be nice if they threw in a bag of chips for us middle-aged dudes. Add $3 bottled lemonade, $1.50 bottled water... and a small counter service lunch for 2, (with water as one beverage), was $20. And it's the cheapest possible bottled water.... how about giving it to us for a buck? The goodwill would be more valuable than the extra 50 cents. Tables were clean, floor was dirty. read more
