Great Asian-inspired cafe with a mouth watering menu. I ended up going with the Kimcheese Sandwich: incredibly tender, slow-cooked pork, thinly sliced with melted cheese on top and a bountiful amount of homemade kimchi, all layered between grilled sourdough bread. Salty, sour, and midly spicy. It was deliciously messy. Came back the next day and had the Asian stir fry with chicken. A pretty straightforward stir fry with lots of mixed vegetables, chunks of chicken breast, udon noodles, and a nice sauce. A nice, healthier respite from all the fried seafood on the Cape. Their chicken momos were fantastic! First of all, the portion size made me very happy. Ten large momos stuffed to the brim with a spiced ground chicken mix. The dipping sauce which is tomato-based had a fiery kick to it. We sniffled our way through a delicious meal! It also came with a few raw veggies like carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce which helped deal with the spice. Their staff was friendly and great. They do have a few tables inside and outside if you want to dine in. We got ours to go. They steam the momos fresh so it was about an 18-20 min wait for them to be ready. We stumbled upon this place while strolling down Main Street in Chatham. I was happy to see the positive reviews so we decided to stop in. The place is small with about 4 tables inside and a few outside but the take out business is extremely strong. We decided to eat in. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and my husband chose a Cubano panini. Before cashing out a humongous chocolate chip cookie was calling our name. The chicken tikka masala was a good size serving which equated to two meals for me. The cubano was also good size and quite tasty. The thick chocolate chip cookie was moist and satisfied us both. The staff is very cordial . The only downside is no public rest rooms. Otherwise it was a great stop. read more

What a well kept secret! This little gem was our go to for the week we stayed in Chatham. Must try is the Everest Momo. Grabbed an order to take to an Anglers game and had to fight people off. We were craving some healthy lunch options when on vacation and we loveeeeeed lunch at Public cafe. It was the meal we talked about as our fav when in Cape Cod, which was surprising! The veg momo was sooooooo delicious. Well seasoned and fresh ingredients. The curry rice was also delicious though I will say I expected a fried rice adjacent meal and it was more a veg curry with a side of white rice. This portion was enormous! The Mediterranean panini was also much yum with great combo of flavors. We really loved our whole meal and would be regulars here if we lived near by. Delicious food in a quaint beach town. I was passing through Chatham on an early Sunday morning looking for a matcha latte and Public Cafe popped up on my search. I knew I had to go. The idea of being able to eat yummy poke at 10am with an iced matcha latte made me so happy. Public Cafe is a cute little spot with an international staff and fast service. The breakfast sandwich is quite the thing, served with two eggs, bacon, cheese and ham on an undercooked English muffin, so plan to open wide and wear a bib in order to suck this baby down. The lunch sandwiches are served on a wonderful artisan bread but the turkey with pesto featured slices of an unbearable imitation preservative infused turkey loaf such as you might expect to get on sale from an Aldi deli counter. Turkey it ain't. The BLT with avocado only had two pieces of bacon, some expired romaine, and seemed to lack any real substance in any event.. read more

Great food. Such a find and sort of a gem on cape. Greta quality meats and produce for ingredients and everything has a little Nepalese flair to it. Just really superb everything I've tried has been incredible. Something a simple as a Cubans sandwich with moist mouthwatering ham or a grilled chicken salad with some mild but varied seasonings has me so craving it every time I think of it. Probably some of best Momo and chicken noodle soup I've ever had. Never would have thought that curry-style spices would blend so well with chicken noodle. Coustmer service was poor, they were skimpy on the avacado on my moms sandwich, and didnt give me any avacado on my avacado BLT, when I didn't receive my food after 15 minutes in a empty store, I questioned where my sandwich was and they accused me of not ordering one. I was very skeptical to try asian food in Cape Cod but the reviews convinced me to give Public Cafe a try. I had the Poke, which was AMAZING! So flavorful, so fresh, every piece of tuna was tender, the avocado was perfectly ripe and it came with a side of excellent, homemade tasting kimchi and white rice. My son got the momos, which he devoured (he is a very picky eater). My other son got the bibimbop, which again was way beyond expectations. We live in SF and are spoiled to have so many kinds of great asian food to choose from. Cape Cod is very white, so I was not expecting much, especially because of the "fusion" approach but all of our food was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and patient with explaining the menu. There were tables outside and in. They also have coffee and quite a complete drinks menu. This place has so much heart. It seems like a little family owned business. I highly recommend the Himalayan Iced Chai! It's so good that I had to order two on the day I left Cape Cod! I really enjoyed the breakfast: sausage and egg and the breakfast sandwich. Also, their caramel machiatto is definitely way better than starbucks! Loved the drinks and breakfast we had!! Stopped by Public Cafe around 10am on a Sunday for a quick bite. The samosas were perfect to share, and tasted great! They had a subtle spicy kick that was enjoyable.
