Their servers are always helpful, and even though they sometimes don't have the Dole Pineapple flavor they still have plenty of other delicious flavors. Giving this business a 2 out of 5 because i'm generous. I've heard about this place from multiple different people and was super excited to go in and try it. When i walked in, not a SOUL in sight. I thought the place was closed. I waited at the counter and FINALLY and employee showed up to take my order. I got cookies and cream fro yo with two toppings. and yes, THEY CHARGE FOR TOPPINGS I wouldn't mind paying for toppings if i got more that 2 Reeces Peanut Butter cups on my fro yo, cmon seriously?!? I never pick frozen yogurt over ice cream...except here. It's so good! It's much more refreshing than any other froyo I've had, and usually not overly sweet. They rotate their flavors pretty often as well. A little pricey for yogurt, but the portions are huge. We like to come here at night and sit in the booths indoors, although it's also nice to take your ice cream or yogurt and walk around town. read more

I used to love Jon and Bon's, but their yogurt kept getting smaller and their prices kept getting higher. The prices for toppings are much more than most! I'm not sure why they've increased their prices so much when there are way more yogurt shops in town nowadays. Last time I went I was very sad at the pitiful amount of yogurt I got for how much I paid. They also stopped taking movie tickets, which I understand but I really liked that about them. I also think they keep getting more religious and preachy by handing out books at the front desk, and that makes me very uncomfortable. I will not be back. read more

Say what you want about Chico, it doesn't mess around in the food department. Some of my my favorite places of all times reside here in this little college town and Jon & Bon's is one of them. I have probably consumed an entire lifetime of calories eating their yogurt and toppings. I remember back in the day I would come in hung over or simply because my sweet tooth was tugging me in that direction and I would order MASSIVE sundaes; I'd call it lunch. The cookies and cream flavor is my favorite and haven't found one that I like better. I also love the fact that they use REAL hot fudge here. A lot of these yogurt shops use the sugar free or reduced fat fudge since it's suppose to be "better" for you. I say eff that, if it ain't the real deal, you might as well just forget it. I guess I could argue that in favor of real ice cream as well but I've always been a fan of both. My idea of a perfect date in Chico: Celestino's pizza followed by Jon & Bon's. read more

I have been going to Jon and Bons since I was 15, i'm 26 now. my friends and I in high school would go to the one down town and sit by the window and people watch. This place brings back old memories of the good times in high school. My first boyfriend ever took me here almost everyday.... i think he stop taking me because i got fat then broke my heart! awwwww My friends and I would go during farmers market on thursday nights, or when we had nothing else to do during the summer. I would always get the cookies and cream, french vanilla and Strawberry. The yogurt is just as it was in the 1980s when it was over on Nord Avenue next to the Safeway. Was always busy with students and it hasn't changed. OMG, this place is hands down the best frozen yogurt place I have ever been to. This is one of things I miss most about not living in Chico. Sweet, melt in your mouth, soft serve frozen yogurt in a about 8-10 different flavors and some of these flavors change every few days. The small is so big you are sure they accidently gave you a medium, but the bigger the better to make room for your toppings! There are at least 20 different toppings to choose from: M&M's, granola, oreos, chocolate chips, cookie dough, brownies, fruit and so on. The granola is absolutely to die for. *carob peanut butter *honey I used to go here and just buy their granola (at first they seemed like this was an odd request, but now they sell individual packages. I love this place. The flavors are always changing and are ALWAYS tasty. The cupcake flavor is delish, and so is the cookies n cream. I love that they will let you have two or even three flavors in the same cup without any extra charge! The toppings are good but they cost enough extra that I don't bother. They will let you sample any of the flavors, which is nice. They also have those loyal customer cards where if you buy 5 you get 1 free. Love that. The reason they don't get 5 stars? The locations are usually very small and the tables are sticky, and they have some Christian propaganda in at least one of the locations that I don't care to have to stare at while I wait. This is what separates Jon & Bon's from the recent influx of yogurt shops popping up all over Chico. The quality and texture of their yogurt is pure Heisenberg grade ecstasy with every spoonful. A plethora of flavors and a full candy bar's worth of toppings is the reason I have been coming here for the past 9+ years its been open and why I continue to drive across town passing the mediocre self-serve competition on the way. read more
