I actually went to the location downtown. Staff was friendly and kind enough to be patient while we decided on what to order. I ended up getting the strawberry Fresca drink and my daughter got a milkshake. We also got corn in a cup with the hot Cheetos crumb. Every item was BOMB. It was a super cute little shop, and I love how they used an old fashioned ice cream cart for decor. This cart was a part of my childhood 10/10 recommend *chef's kiss

Beware of how you get charged here. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but I was initially charged double before the price was corrected upon my observation. No apology, just some mumbling. As for the ice cream, pretty good. read more

3 stars because we got fresas con crema and i got a watermelon sorbet both were just not what me and my boyfriend like it's just not for us both items were way too sweet and my boyfriends came with oreo cookies and wafers when i never asked for that and the picture didn't know any either maybe they were trying to be sweet but i didn't feel comfortable asking for it to be remade as they were closing in the next 20 min and i hate wasting food read more

The vanilla fudge ice cream is incred. The customer service is top notch and they don't judge me for coming in almost daily in the summer. Every flavor is amazing, and some are really unique! The array of flavors are stunning ... cactus pear, coconut, guava, chocolate, various nuts, it just goes on and on and they'll patiently let you taste test until something is extraordinary for you. Then there's the paletas. The banderas (This means "flag," as in, colors of the Mexican flag, lime, coconut and strawberry) paleta is divine. If you've ever traveled in Mexico in the extreme summer heat and been ravished by how great fresh paletas are ice cream are in context, you will understand why Chico in the summer needs this place! Honestly every time I crave some fresas con crema they're either out of the crema or out of the strawberries but weird... in all of the locations. One employee said it's not strawberry season but Safeway has plenty of strawberries They should take the fresas con crema off the menú. read more

There were so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. I was overwhelmed. The guy working let me sample all of the stuff I asked for which was awesome! He answered all of our questions and was very friendly. I ended up getting the vanilla cajeta which was delicious. My mom got the buñuelo and it was also amazing. It had pieces of buñuelo in it. My grandma got pomegranate since she's lactose intolerant and it was water-based but she wasn't a huge fan. I'd definitely want to come back and try all of the stuff they have like fresas con crema and bionicos. read more

Needed ice cream after a long day. The only drawback here was how many flavors I wanted to try and that I don't live locally so I won't be returning for a while. After much deliberation I ended up with a double scoop of chongos and chocolate. Both were delicious and not too heavy like ice cream often can be. (I ate my entire double scoop without feeling ill!) Will definitely return next time I'm in Chico. read more

Every time I go in I have great service my typical order is fresas con crema... but not today, was very disappointed First I asked for biónico and she said they didn't have granola and I said ok I will do fresas con crema and she said ok and started to make them and when she was done Gave them to me, asked her what kind of milk she had put in it because it tasted diff and she said well the one we always use and I said nooo it tasted like whole milk and she said well we are out of the other one and I said wish I would of knew and I would gotten something else and she said well I can remake it and I said well you don't have the other milk and she said well I can remake it ??? This is my favorite ice cream spot in Chico! They have a great variety of usual and unusual ice cream flavors. They also have paletas, aguas frescas, and mangonadas. This place is always clean when I go. They have so much variety of everything I never know what to get. They have ice cream, popsicles, fruit water, and some other yummy things. I give them 5 stars because of their customer service tho. I love that I can take my friends with the highest dietary needs…read morehere since they are completely peanut free, transparently disclose potential allergens in each ice cream, and offer plenty of both dairy and vegan ice creams (I believe half are dairy, half are vegan, and I want to say there are about 6-7 options of each). I also love that they are completely gluten-free even though I am able to eat gluten, again, because friends and family who cannot eat gluten can eat freely here. Even though I'm not really a cone person, the scent of the cones baking entices me to get them often. Their new location is much bigger and has a much better flow with a dedicated section for the line, and they have a nice outdoor space to enjoy the ice cream outdoors as well. I am always really excited to see their new monthly rotating flavors even though I most frequently get my usual, which is a mini scoop that is half caramel and half coffee, which I think is the perfect pairing. I think for what they offer, their prices are completely reasonable. Just the other day I got two mini scoops (personally I think that volume is plenty!) and a cone, and my total came to $9. Finally, they just do customer service right and have a lot of cute little touches: the little gold spoons for samples or their flight of four ice creams, allowing you to purchase said little gold spoons for $3 (I may or may not have purchased two for myself), the employees are super friendly and on it and maintain a good flow (the line moves fast, even though it's super long usually!), the list goes on! Now, if I were to be completely nitpicky about making it a *seamless* customer servive experience, I personally love when that awkward tip screen does *not* come up when I am getting counter service, but I also acknowledge that that may just be a hot take. Not that I don't think they deserve it because they absolutely do, but I just find obligatory tipping pretty dystopian and would rather have faith that everyone is getting a living wage without having to "perform," and the prices are the true prices making it possible to do so. But again, overall this is an amazing place and I am so happy this local business exists in Chico. A cute little sidenote: one day the spouse of the owner was kinda helping out in the front, and he was just gushing about how proud he was of his wife and the work they're doing, and it was such a sweet endearing moment.

La otra semana comí en Marcos Pizza y el equipo de trabajo es joven, pero muy respetuoso y acogedor. Esperemos que este equipo cambie sus costumbres. Service was terrible here on Saturday around 5pm. They to 10 minutes to even look in our direction, no greeting at all. The girls looked like they didn't even want to work. Then they completely forgot to make half of our order so we waited a half hour for the rest. There were four employees working and they seem to all be joking around with each other sipping on drinks the made for themselves in the back kitchen. Hope the owners or manager reads this and takes this seriously. We had a big order and spent a lot. Just the other week I ate at Marcos pizza and the work crew is young, yet very respectful and welcoming. Hopefully this crew will change it's ways.

We were easy - same exact dish and drinks for us both and she recommended the steak skewer with our salad. We had the Mexican themed salad that had roasted corn in it and I died and went to heaven eating that salad. The lime dressing was sooo good. The meat was so tender and tasty. No gristle!!!! I was fully expecting some but it was perfect meat. Well flavored and perfectly cooked. Not only did our server give us the best advice, she also sent us out the door with a refill of iced tea. In this heat, that is so kind. She probably saved me from dehydration!! We had the nicest drive back to the Bay Area. We talked about coming back with our manly men. They would love this place. Chico is just as nice and less expensive than the Bay Area. I recommend visiting this lovely restaurant and brewery. I would have had the beer but I can't mix alcohol and heat that I'm not used to. I also admire their focus on sustainability, their seasonal menu, as well as their local partnerships. A combination of upscale but affordable and perfect for a date night. The copper accents are beautiful and the seating was comfortable. Unfortunately, it was super busy so I would recommend sitting outside for a more romantic and private ambience. My blackened salmon tacos were delicious and we cleaned off the plate within a handful of minutes. I really loved the pickled onions on the side and the crispy outside layer of the salmon pieces. Shout out to our server, kaylee for giving us as much attention as she could, despite the business!
