We hired Jon and his crew earlier this year to tile our fireplace. He warned that he wasn't available for several months at the onset but that didn't deter us. If I recall, I think we did a facetime chat and I provided pictures for his quote. He was very responsive both on text and phone when I asked questions to coordinate with our carpenter. He showed up when he said he would. There were a couple of marble tiles we didn't like and he removed/replaced them with others without any objection. The attention to detail is incredible. I'm a very hard customer to please and I couldn't find one thing on the entire project that was amiss and I've been living with the completed project for several months yet. read more

Jon has done 2 jobs for us. The first one was 4 years ago as a remodel of our guest bathroom. It wasn't a typical installation...my wife wanted a "Tree of Life" in tile (see attached). He took her design and improved it and gave good feedback on how to make it better. We're very happy with the results. Just recently we bought a Big Green Egg and I made a custom table to go around it. We wanted to tile the top with Loteria tiles so we called Jon again. We had a pattern in mind, and he gave us some feedback on how the Loteria tiles could be setup...we went with his recommendation and are really happy with the results. In summary, he does great work, but he also gives you guidance on what will truly work. If you go with Jon for custom work...follow his advice...he truly knows what he is doing. read more

Wish this review could be done on work performed. Alas, after getting back to me right away about working on a quote, Jon never replied back. He said he'd need some more information. I asked him what information he would need. Nothing after that. At first I thought maybe it was a glitch in the Yelp messaging system, but other contractors seem to be able to reply. Five days with no response is pretty unprofessional, especially mid conversation. read more

Got referred to Jon from fellow Yelpers. I wanted to get my kitchen back splash done quickly because of my main guy was running out of time with other things that had to be done to finish the rest of the kitchen. Jon was flexible on his schedule, came in with a fair estimate and did a professional job! My back splash is mosaic ceramic tile (1") so not the easiest material to work with but it looks great! People notice the back splash more than the Carrera Italian marble counter top..so it's important that was done right. sometimes my schedule can get hectic but Jon was unreal in being persistent on completing the project! how unbelievable is that?? You could probably find some cheaper crews, but you know everything will work out and quickly with them. They've seen every tile around and are quick to recommend grout colors, edge options, and added in a over range shelf which is crazy useful. read more

Jon is the most professional contractor that I have ever worked with. After reading reviews of Jon's work, I decided to contact him. I am happy I did. He is very busy. Unlike many busy business owners that I have tried to contact before, Jon still manages to respond to my questions within 24 hours. Not just once but several days in a row. Last year we did a remodel of our bathroom and contracted various aspects of the job out. Jon did the shower pan, shower tile and floor tile. He was far and away the best contractor we worked with. First, and I know this is crazy, but he actually showed up for the initial appointment when he said he would and provided a written quote via email. Second, even though he had another job come in before we gave him the go ahead he worked hard to honor the original date we discussed. This was important because half way through the remodel my sister-in-law informed us she was coming into town with her family and wanted to stay with us. Eleven people sharing one bath was going to be a challenge so it was important to us to get the second one functional by the time they arrived. Jon did his part in making it happen. Third, Jon showed up promptly at 8 every day and put in a good honest day's work before leaving. That would seem to be a given, but it wasn't our experience with other contractors. Jon was very good about communicating with us about what he was doing and when and listening to us along the way. He also had some good tips for product selection and care. Jon managed to squeeze our kitchen backsplash into a small opening in his schedule. We're absolutely thrilled with the job, just a beautiful installation. He was particular on the aesthetics and very meticulous--the grout is perfect color match, the caulk blends perfectly, the edges precise. Couldn't ask for more from a work crew--tarps protected the floors and counters, no mess left behind, very polite and considerate guys, and on time. Not only did he always return my calls in a timely manner, but he and his crew always showed up exactly when they said they would (which is not always the case with contractors). More importantly, he did a fantastic job! He was able to offer suggestions and advice on the design of my shower, he paid attention to all the little details (like making sure all the edges were properly finished), and as a result my shower came out looking absolutely wonderful! Jon and Trey are some of the best contractors to work with, I have been in the construction business for 10 years and let me tell you it is rare to find someone who does everything they say and on time. I met Jon while working for a builder and was amazed at his work. I had Jon help me with a bathroom remodel 5 years ago on my parents house, the job came out perfect and they met all my parents expectations. Jon went above and beyond by helping me with a complication caused by the frameless glass company and knew what happened within 5 minutes of looking at the issue. Fast forward to now I am a service plumber and see tons of bathrooms. I get to observe how bathrooms age and how important it is to have a good tile job. So when I remodeled my own bathroom at my house I wanted the best tile guy. I have yet to meet a better tile guy or even seen better work then what Jon can produce. I reached out to him, he gave me a quote and even followed up with a phone call to confirm I received the quote . We set up a job date which was prolonged due to a window order being delayed.
