I used to frequent this place because I loved how the owner cut my layers, but my last visit was a disaster. The owner, who was my hair stylist, scheduled my appointment at the same time as two others, leaving her juggling three clients at once. I requested a color refresh, a gloss, and layers. The color was a mess--she mixed a tiny bowl that I knew wouldn't cover my whole head. She ended up just doing my roots and randomly placing color in other areas. It turned out horrible. The gloss she used left my hair in a terrible state, matted and impossible to comb through. I've never had a gloss treatment that left my hair so dry. The layers were a nightmare--choppy and uneven, clearly rushed because she was attending to the other clients. I texted her with my concerns but received no response. She clearly didn't care. I had an event the same weekend and hoped for a fix, but that didn't happen. I definitely won't be returning. read more

I took my daughter here to get a "wolf cut" hair style with the shaggy/layered look. She came out with a bob cut and hated her look so I had to take her somewhere else to get the style she wanted. I had some issues with my recent cut from another stylist (different salon) where my right side layers were cut way too choppy and uneven with the left side. A girlfriend recommended I go to her stylist, Mimi, who not only fixed that choppy side to more natural looking layers but also helped to thin out my extremely thick hair all around as well. My hair felt so much lighter and also had way more movement, which I loved! Do NOT go here! I am a big fan of yelp and decided to try this place after seeing so many positive reviews. I went in for color and had my hair done by Andy. I asked him to cover up my greys and use all over color medium brown. He turned my hair Jet black and you could still see the greys. The next day after getting negative comments from friends and family asking me why I dyed my hair black, I went back in and asked Andy to fix it. He was extremely reluctant and kept arguing with me. After speaking with the manager he agreed to try to repair my hair. He bleach washed it and didn't even bother sectioning my hair and distributing the bleach and then toner evenly. As a result my hair now has chunks of light brown, black, and is very reddish in color. I now have to go to a different salon and pay even more money to color correct it. It took all day the first time and all day the second day and finally I left because I knew he couldn't do anything. For all the talk this guy does about his years of experience, he doesn't know anything about hair color. The manager was very rude as well and kept saying "if you were my client it wouldn't look like that". Waste of time and money!!! read more

I'll never go there again. Today I tried using a Lake Forest shop and dine coupon. Womens Haircut for $39. During the haircut Nancy asked me if I wanted to blow dryed and I said yes as long as it was included in the haircut. When I was paying she charged me an extra $10 for blow and style. I tried discussing with her and said she stated the blow dry was included and never asked to be styled. There was no work done to style my hair. I went into the salon last week for a cut and color. I had a very specific picture of what I wanted. When I had the consultation with the stylist, I said to keep my natural blonde and add low lights to achieve the look of the picture. I believed we were on the same page. Andy continued to look at the picture for reference. When the foils in my hair began to come off, to my horror, I had lighter blonde than my natural and the brown was super dark. And instead of having the brown peeking out, I had thick zebra stripes in my hair. The coloring isn't even on both sides. The back is a nice weaving of color, but the front is a mess. The stylist said he liked it because it was unique. But it totally wasn't what I wanted, nor did it look like the picture. I gave two stars because they were nice and the cut wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. Not only was the price expensive, but I have to put out the same amount to have it fixed. This was the worst pink and white fill and pedicure ive ever gotten! 1st i asked if they had time...they said yes. Then as the girl finishes the white on 1 nail her 4pm hair appt comes in so she had the nerve to ask me to leave and come back another time!!!l i of course said NO. Then if you want gel polish on your toes its a extra $15, nails $5. And to take off toenail polish is $5. To top things off the pink powder has glitter in it and i didnt ask for glitter!!!
