Mai Tiki is in Stuart, right by the Colorado Avenue Park. It's a medium size outdoor restaurant,…read moreattached to the Old Colorado Inn. It features a large bar and many top tables. There is no AC, it feels like you are in an outdoor tropical garden with a Tiki. The menu is limited, farm to table approach. It offers several appetizers and a few entrees. Tropical cocktails. My sister and I once a month meet for lunch, usually go to the other restaurants in the downtown area. This was a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. We decided to try it, since it was new. It's off season for Florida. I like that it's away from traffic and close to the river, but not on the river. We ordered several appetizers, Tuna stack, it was good with toast on the side. I would have preferred wonton chips or tortilla chips. We also had the crab fritters, these were delicious and plentiful for two people and the Burrata salad. We wanted the Brussels sprouts, but they were out so the chef prepared Bok Choi instead. Equally delicious. We ordered an infused cucumber refreshing cocktail. The service was very good. The owner stopped by our table, to ask how we liked it. He was gracious and told us his story how he bought the placed and design a menu along with the Chef. That was a plus. They also have music for dinner. Parking is street. The Tram goes around and it will leave you at this restaurant from the large parking lot. Please note there's a green market on Sunday's so the parking lot is usually full.

"We wanted a chill fun place for dinner, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the fun…read more We were originally seated at a table and waited quite a while without receiving any service or acknowledgment. Hoping for better luck, we moved to the bar, where we then sat for another 10 minutes without anyone helping us. When we politely approached the waitress to ask for assistance, she was disrespectful and argumentative instead of apologetic. As we were leaving, another customer even mentioned that a different waitress there is usually much better, which makes it even more disappointing that our experience was so poor. Customer service and professionalism really matter, and sadly this visit fell far below expectations

Passed it when in Stuart many times. So glad we looked it up and stopped. Wish it was on the beach,…read moreits such a great building. The decorations so Key West. This location has one of the best staff. Right there for you. The kitchen looks clean, guys are wirking well together. The menu is extensive and probably too much being offered but its nice if your not into hotdogs or burgers. We will check out Jupiters locatiin and be back to Stuarts again when in town. Rating it a 5 because of friendly staff, atmosphere. I wish these were everywhere

Dang! Forgot to take pictures…read more It was getting late and we were hungry. My son wanted to try Dune Dog. My daughter, her BF and others were there last weekend. So off we went. It was a bit empty for a Saturday evening. No problem grabbing a table inside. Service was good as Andy was attentive to our needs. The "kids" were hungry and their ordering showed. Several dogs, chili fries and then main entrees. We were pleased with the dogs. They were tasty. The chili fries didn't last long either. Soon, our entrees came. I had the blackened shrimp with 2 sides, beans and rice. Pretty tasty with a little zing. My daughter ordered the ribs. Definitely fall off the bone delicious. Her BF got buffalo chicken tenders while my son got the 1/2lb cheese burger. As a group, we had plenty of food. The kids enjoyed theirs and my daughter had leftovers for another meal. Dune Dog is a good place to go for a good meal and good service.

We went two days in a row during our weekend stay in town!…read moreAmbiance (5/5): Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor as well. Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

I decided it was time to try out the Jensen Beach downtown experience…read more The Ambiance: With a view of the ocean actually a side view from afar, the downtown area, although not as cute as Stuart's downtown, is pretty nice. The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!
