When I arrived, the nice gentleman asked me what I would like. I told him it was my first time and what should I get. He said the reason we are in business is the steak sandwich I said so he said if you want the best of the best try the steak bomb I said sold give me a foot-long and that started my journey into the abyss of delectable deliciousness... the sandwich was incredible. The service was unbelievable and fast. Ambience was excellent. Very nice people working here and very good food. I will return.

We were in town for training but if I was local, this would be a regular for me. The food is good, the service is excellent and the place has a great feel to it. We had a rather large group for lunch and they didn't have any problem accommodating us. And everyone enjoyed their lunch. The menu has some interesting items on it. I had the Cuban style sandwich, which was quite different.

The steak cheese onion mushroom was amazing and the French fries are the best in town this place is really good as the sandwich was superb.

As a pescatarian I don't have many options at many sandwich places but let me tell you, the tuna at jon smith is top notch! It's always ready when I show up which is nice. And the Tuna Bomb is something you wouldn't think of doing, but is sooo good!

I just received a tuna sub that I ordered from this store through Door Dash. See the picture below, for the most pitiful tuna sandwich I've ever seen!!

The Lobster Salad Melt was definitely a popular choice. My husband thought the menu was huge and had so many things we wanted so we decided that we had to order the Whitefish Salad with Rye Bread and a Turkey Reuben. The complimentary added pickles made the meal perfect. Our server, Tyra, was great! She had a great attitude and made sure that we had everything we needed right down to the take home containers for our leftovers since the portions are so big. Everything we ordered was delicious and I was a little skeptical when I looked at the ingedients because it seemed like there was a lot of colorful fillers in the whitefish (and all their salads that are scooped) but it worked to give an added flavor but not over powering the fish flavor. The restaurant was clean and definitely could tell that it had been around for a long time. The meal was great and we are looking forward to a return visit and to check out their wonderful bakery items in the showcase.

A lot of the foods and selections that made this place special have disappeared from the menu, and now the customer service seems to be going in the same direction. Today I stopped in for somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 pound of lox. It's just me eating it, so I didn't need a full quarter pound. The woman at the counter told me, rather abruptly, that she would only sell me a quarter pound. I explained that I wanted an eighth and that a little over was perfectly fine. Her response was essentially, "I'm only selling a quarter pound." Fortunately, the gentleman slicing the lox simply listened to what I was asking for and took care of me. Thank you to him. To the woman working the register/counter today: customer service matters, especially for a longtime local business where people remember how good the place used to be. A simple request from a paying customer shouldn't turn into an argument over a couple of ounces of lox. I genuinely want to see this place succeed, but if the quality, selection, and customer service continue in this direction, I have a hard time seeing Gourmet Deli House being around much longer.

I was pleasantly surprised that the terrible smell that had smacked me on the face upon opening the entrance door was finally gone. The hostess sat us at a table and took our drink order. I asked if I could get the pastrami with cheese on a croissant as the bread was toasted too hard my last visit. I also opted for onion rings as my side. I was delighted with the look of my plate when it arrived. Pastrami looked and tasted absolutely perfect on the light and fluffy croissant. I even got a side of Russian dressing to add a hint of spice to everything. Toojays has certainly redeemed themselves in my eyes and I look forward to my next visit.

I decided to get matzah ball soup and half a corned beef sandwich on rye. The soup was very good. And it was served first, and was hot in a small bowl. My husband really liked his beef cabbage soup, too. My sandwich, however, was awful. The bread was decent, but the meat tasted so processed -- like baloney. After we pointed it out, the manager told me it had been cut wrong (with the grain). He cut some more corned beef "correctly" and brought it back. It still wasn't very good. Slightly better, but I told my husband it could have been canned ham. The manager said they changed suppliers a few years back. I think they need to change again. My husband's chopped liver was a much better choice. It came with lettuce and tomato. Oh, and of the sides, I liked the red bliss potato salad better than their coleslaw -- which had a lot of mayo in it. Bottom line -- come for breakfast or deli, but skip the corned beef.

It was very busy, which I completely understand, but the woman taking my to-go order was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Being busy is understandable, but it shouldn't affect how customers are spoken to or treated. The person taking orders is often the first interaction a customer has, and that experience matters. A little patience, professionalism, and courtesy goes a long way, even during a rush. I enjoy coming to Aioli, which is why I hope management takes this feedback constructively and is more mindful of who is interacting with customers at the counter.

I just want to touch base about my most recent visit to Lenora's. I've been to this location about three times. This is the location on Dixie Highway. They have open air seating, which is really nice on most evenings. This particular evening we arrived about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to close more like 35 minutes before they were scheduled to close at 10 PM. It was a Friday night. We ordered a pizza and the rigatoni with mushrooms and cream sauce and I wanted to add a piece of salmon to it. After we sat down, my boyfriend's pizza came out in about seven minutes maximum. It was piping hot. The cheese was kind of sloppy and all over the place. It didn't really look like it was made with love. But he said it was good. My food however, took about 20 to 25 minutes longer than his pizza did. He was done eating his entire pizza before my food came out. That's never a good situation. They could've at least warned us of that, or let us know that that would be the case if they didn't realize it until they started making the food. There were only two other tables there. Once my food did come out, the salmon that I added for protein was almost $15. Obscene! I could get almost 3 pounds of salmon for that amount. It was maybe a 6 ounce piece maybe. And when they brought it out, it was raw in the middle. So I had to send it back and that was not met with a positive attitude, even though we brought up the issue with a very positive attitude despite having to wait almost 30 minutes for me to even get my food after my boyfriend had finished his pizza. They brought the salmon back and when they returned it, the employee was very pleasant and asked if I wanted to check it first. I ended up eating half of the pasta and packing the rest up to take home because by this time it was a few minutes after 10 o'clock and we didn't want to sit there as the only table left when we knew that they were obviously ready for closing time. One thing I must say is that I think divine intervention kept me in a great mood because they played my favorite journey song, they played my favorite song of all time, which is Tears for Fears. Everybody wants to rule the world, and then they played Bob Seger, who is definitely the artist who would've been my boyfriend or at least my celebrity crush had I've been born a few years earlier. Anyway, that's me giving it to you Straight No Chaser. Enjoy!
