Been seeing this place on social media so took a drive down. Good chat with the workers there. Being from Jersey we know subs. Sandwich was loaded and delicious. Tons of meat and that is not an exaggeration. I will definitely make the drive for subs in the future.

Wow, we just went to this hidden gem sandwich shop! The food was amazing and so was the service. We had the Turkey and the Italian hero! They both were super fresh and delicious!! We will definitely be back again.

We had a very good lunch here. We sat at the bar. We got personable service from Samantha (?)…read more They've only been open about a month. The other customers were friendly. One guy told us all the items on the menu that he's tried and liked. My husband ordered their meatloaf with mashed potatoes twice (as his 2 sides). It came with a mushroom gravy. He said it was wonderful. I had their ham sliders. Three mini Hawaiian buns, filled with Boar's head ham, melted provolone cheese, and a sweet honey mustard sauce. They were sticky and delicious. They have happy hour specials and different events/entertainment on a rotating calendar. They should do well here once discovered. We will be back to try their touted burgers and steak sandwich... among other things.

Several lunch specials to select. I chose the Meatloaf with two sides. (I chose mashed potatoes TWICE). My Meatloaf was a nice serving of tender, moist and flavorful loaf. The mushroom gravy that came with the mashed potatoes was dark and savory delicious. Service is fast and friendly with a lot of food options, including some interesting Salads. A great lunch stop for us!

I lunched Gourmet Deli House on Friday and thankfully it was not too busy. We were seated…read moreimmediately at a table near their bussing cart and kitchen which was a little loud but it was nice to see the rolling carts coming from the kitchen with everything that was ordered. The Lobster Salad Melt was definitely a popular choice. My husband thought the menu was huge and had so many things we wanted so we decided that we had to order the Whitefish Salad with Rye Bread and a Turkey Reuben. The complimentary added pickles made the meal perfect. Our server, Tyra, was great! She had a great attitude and made sure that we had everything we needed right down to the take home containers for our leftovers since the portions are so big. Everything we ordered was delicious and I was a little skeptical when I looked at the ingedients because it seemed like there was a lot of colorful fillers in the whitefish (and all their salads that are scooped) but it worked to give an added flavor but not over powering the fish flavor. The restaurant was clean and definitely could tell that it had been around for a long time. The meal was great and we are looking forward to a return visit and to check out their wonderful bakery items in the showcase.

A lot of the foods and selections that made this place special have disappeared from the menu, and now the customer service seems to be going in the same direction. Today I stopped in for somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 pound of lox. It's just me eating it, so I didn't need a full quarter pound. The woman at the counter told me, rather abruptly, that she would only sell me a quarter pound. I explained that I wanted an eighth and that a little over was perfectly fine. Her response was essentially, "I'm only selling a quarter pound." Fortunately, the gentleman slicing the lox simply listened to what I was asking for and took care of me. Thank you to him. To the woman working the register/counter today: customer service matters, especially for a longtime local business where people remember how good the place used to be. A simple request from a paying customer shouldn't turn into an argument over a couple of ounces of lox. I genuinely want to see this place succeed, but if the quality, selection, and customer service continue in this direction, I have a hard time seeing Gourmet Deli House being around much longer.
