This tiny little Jan was just perfect when we got out of traffic. I recommend the ziti lasagna. You can even eat outside.

While stopping overnight from our travels from Orlando to Tennessee, we saw this pizzeria on yelp and decided to give it a try. When we got there on Friday night we were lucky to find a close parking spot. The inside seating was full so we needed to sit at the outside tables. Waitstaff was attentive, with multiple servers asking if we needed anything. The pizza was very good. It's a thin crust pizza so if that's not your thing, it might not be the place for you. We also liked the feel of the downtown area. The courthouse is close by and worth a visit. read more

This was some of the best pizza I have had yet. I think the service could be a little more organized but they still served us well. Unfortunately the pizza is not good enough to keep me coming back. This used to be a go to place for great pizza in a casual friendly environment. We came back for the first time in a while this week. Service was lacking and new staff not so great. Salads were soggy. The places seemed a bit run down and just seemed different not really clean. We walked in and were immediately seated at a table that apparently was occupied by Cookie Monster as there was tomato pieces in the chairs, half eaten pizza on the floor and crumbs all over the top of the table. We stopped here to get off the interstate spring break traffic. We had the the meatball app, Greek salad, lemon pepper wings, and the veggie cauliflower crust pizza. It was all excellent. The staff was prompt and friendly. Looks like a place that the locals frequent on a Friday night. The owner, Laurie, even stopped by to give us advice for where to stay for the night. We were traveling and staying off 1-75. Not wanting to get in the car again my husband said he would run and get a pizza. We placed an ordered a 12 " pizza and salad. The pizza was decent, crust was cooked nicely, but......nothing like I was expecting after looking at their delightful menu. We stopped in on our way home to Alpharetta. Everything was "ok". We had a Greek salad - family size. It was small and had spring mix in it. The pizza was just the right size ... we ordered small. The cheese was delicious but the toppings were very sparse. It's got the chance to be a great business with not too many other pizza places around. I have been to this establishment several times. Several years back,The first time eating at this establishment my party and I were asked to leave the back room, due to another party coming in for a Jeopardy TV show celebrity who would be dining inside. The only place that they could seat us was outside. The other times I had eaten at this restaurant the food and service was fair. Until yesterday the food was cold, and less than mediocre. 2 soft drinks, a Greek salad, and a house salad were $ 25 for a bowl no bigger then your hand. The manager did ask if there was anything she could do. All I stated was just bring a check and we will leave. Oh as for the manager tipping or waitress Congratulations, that was so classy to put in your review. I only tip for good service. I stopped by Jonah's to pick up a quick bite while in town for a work trip. I ordered a veggie calzone, and was extremely satisfied with the amount of food for the price. The dough was seriously to die for, and definitely my favorite part. The filling left a little to be desired, there didn't seem to be much seasoning and in my opinion it was lacking cheese and flavor in general. Marinara dipping sauce was on point though, and overall I was satisfied with my meal. If I came into town again I would definitely give it another shot and order a pizza. I also got the greek salad, and was very satisfied with it. Overall, I think it's probably a great place and I might have just not ordered the best thing on the menu. Give them a try! read more

Not the best experience. A friend & I chose to meet here for lunch. It was both of our first time visiting, so we reviewed their website & yelp for the hours. We traveled half an hour there. Upon arrival at their published opening time, we were greeted by a worker posting a sign as we approached the entrance. It read: Blah blah blah routine oven maintenance blah blah blah opening around 12. Strike 1: Your "routine" maintenance shouldn't have to take place during your posted hours. Period. Strike 2: Your server could have been SO kind as to not treat us as though we were invisible when we were clearly there to be patrons. Rude. Strike 3: The food was just okay. Not worth the trip. We are staying in the area for Thanksgiving and looked for a good place to eat. We found this great Pizza and bakery. The staff were great and friendly. The pizza dough is hand tossed and cooked in a brick oven. The pizza sauce was very rich and perfect taste. The pizza crust was so good we ate even the end of the crust. If that was not good enough, the bakery is the best. We got cookies to go for our motel. They make bread too. If you want good Pizza and sweets to die for....this is your place. I was initially looking for BBQ but settle for a slice of Pizza instead. The service was good and friendly. The setting was unique for the city, had kinda of its own thing going. The Pizza was cooked in a brick oven which was a plus. The crust was thin to medium which is how I enjoy my pizza. The taste was pretty good, slightly above average. Trust me, do this, because if you don't, then some other genius is gonna come in right behind you, snag the last roll, and you'll shed tears of shame and remorse. When I have newcomers to town, I take them to Jonahs. Most folks use Grits to impress a visitor, but, well, when I leave Jonah's, I'm full...and I have money left in my pocket. Next, order a coke zero (WIN! Everyone should serve coke zero). Also, order firesticks. Sit back, relax, and wait on the firesticks while staring at your brown bag of cinnamon roll goodness. When they arrive, order your entree. I recommend pizza rolls, mostly because they are cheaper than a pizza. If you're in it to win it, then snag yourself a pizza--the one with the spinach & stuff aint half bad for a buncha vegetarian hippy crap. I personally prefer the cheeseburger in paradise. When you finish your meal, walk back up to the counter and pick something out of the case for dessert. EVERYTHING is good. Tomorrow morning, open up that brown bag of cinnamon goodness, and go to your happy place. They should just make entire pizzas that are nothing but this little delicious nugget that is the Jonah's Cinnamon Rolls. read more

Turns out the best pizza in Macon is .... in Forsyth. They got their dough and ovens singing a perfect tune. Light, crispy, chewy and maybe the best pie I've had in a year. The pizza rolls are a great idea for a meal by themselves. Didn't get pepperoni on the pizza ... will try it next time. Fresh baked desserts are worth the calories, too. Funky sort of local atmosphere works well. The prices are more than your average economy pizza, more in line with a specialty pizza place. they make it all in house, and do a really good pie worth the money ... just don't get 10 toppings. Gotta say that the frozen beef pellets were a surprise. The mozzarella/provolone blend is perfect for their pizza They have the most popular toppings on their basic pricing, then specialty toppings list. Followup After about 6 great stops at Jonah's, my wife and I had issues during our last lunch. First, the pizzas were not as good as previous ones. The pizza crust was not "worked" like previous ones and some seasonings must have been omitted on the toppings. Anyway, the quality was mediocre compared to previous pizzas there. Second, my wife's pizza was burned, but served anyway. My pizza was so burned they had to cook another one. So my wife had a choice: eat before me or let her pizza get cold. She did a little of both. My coffee was good, but barely warm. We will try again during our trips down I-75 and I will report back. Maybe this visit was an isolated event... read more

I could eat their artichoke dip every single day! I have never had anything like it, no bar spinach artichoke dip can begin to compete with it. What makes it special you may ask....freshness!! Fresh peppers, artichokes, and I think there are some crunchy water chestnuts in there too. The pizza is also good, although I lean toward the pizza rolls. Something about the adorable shape makes them taste better and seem like they are better for you. The firesticks are a play on bread sticks, they are basted in buffalo sauce and served with marinara with melted goat cheese goodness on top. The homemade breads are delicious. The seeded multigrain is my favorite and not just because it comes with the artichoke dip. There is one with cranberries in it that is also a stand out. I have not met one of their deserts that I didn't like, but my favorite is the cinnamon roll. I have never had one like theirs, the roll is so flaky and buttery not super doughy or fluffy. Also, their selections of beer on tap, for such a small place, was also very good - I had the Left Handed Milk Stout, on tap. Prices are inline with a local speciality pizza establishment. So it's not the place for cheap food, (as a matter of fact, it's all hand-made, pizza, desserts, etc.).
