I work at a chain pizza place...this places food is better!!! Our table ordered a variety of food. We had a Meatza Calzone, 2 choose your own toppings pizza, wings, mini butter bites and a sub sandwich. The chicken BLT sandwich was good, the roll they put them on was sooo very soft, I even thought it was their restaurant that made it. It tasted like it was freshly baked just out of the oven. Their mini butter balls, small dough balls with plenty of butter for the rest of them to dip in, I added parmesan cheese and ate some with a spoon The wings I got, admittedly weren't very lemony or peppery, but definitely had an amazing crunch skin and so juicy and tender on the inside. I tried a slice of my boyfriends jalapeño, olive, pepperoni and mushroom pizza with extra cheese and just like you see in the movies you pull a piece and it has the LONGGGG cheese string. The jalapeños were spicy not more than I can handle just more than I enjoy. If your in town this is worth a trip here. We will definitely go once more before we leave town!! read more

We stopped in on a Friday for lunch for our party of 7. They offered a lunch special for 6 drinks, the garlic knots, and a 24inch party size pizza for only $46 which was a great deal. I got the lunch combo with a side salad (upgraded to a Greek salad), a small pizza, and a drink for $10. Great deals for great food. Everything was delicious! The food came out quickly and was hot & fresh. When we went it was pretty slow and there wasn't a lot of people but it seems like it would be a fun place to go and hang out on a weekend night. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you want a yummy pizza night! read more

I recently took my son to The Pie to help him feel better after a doctor's visit, and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, delicious food, awesome atmosphere, and comfortable seating in this cool pizza joint near downtown Thomaston. From the outside, it looks pretty plain, as it's in a shopping center right next to a Badcock's furniture store, but the inside will blow you away. If you order your pizza to go, you can sit on beautiful benches made out of surfboards. There are also surfboards and boogie boards on the walls, as well as other surf and tide related decorations throughout. There are several tvs to watch the game on while you chow down, and the whole place has a laid back, chill vibe to it. They do have a buffet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I was not there on either of those nights, so I can't yet comment on the quality or amount of pizzas served with that particular dining option. We got the kickin' chip appetizer, which is fried pizza dough tossed in their kickin' sauce, which to me, was more of a rub than a sauce. For the main entree, we got the large meat craver's pizza, which had pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and a couple of other meats piled high on a delicious thin pizza crust with a delicious sauce. With a light dusting of parmesan cheese, the pizza was a delicious meal that was more than enough for the two of us to fill up on and take home leftovers. All in all, while I love some of the other pizza options in this town, The Pie will be one of my go to restaurants from this point forward. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, cool pizza joint for a family meal or event, as they do have a party room on site. read more

Good pizza. They have those gigantic pizzas you can't fit in your fridge at home but whatever. They have a pretty good sized place inside for like very large groups and they do an all you can eat buffet style bar inside. And they serve beer and ice cream too ( hopefully not together) read more

Not recommended. Food was awful and they had no unsweet tea. Drink area had numerous spills and lots of flies.

Worst tasting blandest crap ever! Bought 2 party pies and was a complete waste of $60. Had no flavor, hardly no toppings, and the dough was as tough and chewy as stale chewing gum. Honestly don't see how this place is even in business. Will never eat here again and would suggest that no one else waste their money like I did. read more

Can't rate the pizza because we didn't stay long enough to eat. Friday 3/3/17, we walk in around 9:15 pm after our boys had just played a basketball game. We were a group of 15 and when we walked in, we were greeted with eye rolls from the back. You could tell they weren't happy about us coming in. The girl that came to the counter was sweet, but as I was asking her what time they closed (which was 10), the two in the back were still looking at each other and rolling their eyes. Dear manager, I hate we didn't get to try the pizza because it smelled delicious. We were a large group, hungry and tip well, but some of your employees need to improve their customer service skills. Ordered up one of their huge spicy chicken calzones & was immediately impressed with the fresh taste of all ingredients/toppings. Place is super clean and the service is very friendly here; I would definitely recommend a visit if you ever happen to be in the area! The manager made his rounds here. I stumbled upon American Pie after waiting over an hour at another restaurant before leaving because I never got seated. I wish I could rate this place with 10 stars. From the atmosphere walking in to the great pizza, I had a great experience there. I'm about 45 minutes away from this pizzeria but I will do be best to visit this place often now! read more

So far my best restaurant experience in thomaston! We just moved here and I found my new favorite place. The owner is super nice and was very friendly to us as soon as we walked in. And he was very helpful in helping us decide what to try first. Food is fresh and delicious, the restaurant has a very cool inviting atmosphere, it's very clean and family friendly. This place used to be part of the American Pie Pizzeria chain, but the owner went independent a few years ago. It's a large store in a strip mall. The owner came by and told us about how he'd built the place from the walls in... from hand-made tables and flooring to the walls separating the kitchen from the dining area to the large party room in the back. Thomaston is a small town, supporting seven pizza places. Domino's and Pizza Hut can't hold a candle to The Pie. The handmade dough, pizza sauce, bread for subs, dressings and the variety on the menu makes this place special. It's great to see places like this where so much pride, love and quality goes into the food. The sauce is delicious, the pizza dough is light and crisp. The dressing was smooth and tasty. If you are on US 19 between Atlanta and SoWeGa, stop by The Pie for a meal. We just had pizza, but I'm betting the pasta, subs and other fare meet the same high standards. Give it a try...
