Alas, a company that is accountable, organized, knowledgeable, qualified, and efficient. After a year of home renos and some hardscape work with another company, my husband and I were beginning to think such a thing didn't exist. Enter Michael from DreawWork. From the very beginning, he was super responsive and quick to come take a look at our property and get us a detailed estimate and discuss a plan. Though, most companies are great at getting you locked in. Where DreamWork really set themselves apart was maintaining this standard. Throughout our entire backyard project which included irrigation, lighting, landscaping, and the installation of a cable railing, Michael maintained excellent communication, ensured we were satisfied every step along the way (and I can be a bit particular), and his team got the work done in the time frame they estimated (now that's a novelty!). And furthermore, it turned out better than we could have imagined. The workers were super respectful too--ensuring they closed the gate while working as to not let the dog out, respecting my requests for quite hours (I am a night shift nurse), and cleaning up after each day's work. Michael himself came very frequently to check in and oversee the project, asking me each time if I had any questions or concerns or anything I wanted to change (types and locations of plants, lights, etc). This meant so much to us, since we hadn't experienced this level of quality control or customer service with any of the other contractors/subcontractors we have worked with in the past year. Additionally DreamWork's pricing is very competitive with the multiple other companies we had received quotes from. So grateful we made the right decision. Michael was absolutely amazing. Due to the heavy rainfall socal has been getting we needed to add drains in our backyard and connect them to the main drain to help with the flooding. Michael and his crew did this which has been a big help. We also renovated our backyard adding a 7' privacy wall and pavers. We are so pleased with their work. I'm so happy to say that work has just been completed on my total backyard/pool transformation! Yay! Let me start at the beginning...I recently bought a house in Hawthorne with less than zero curb appeal . One day when I was out walking my dog, I passed a house with the most amazing landscaping. The homeowner told me that is was done by Dreamwork Landscaping. I called Michael immediately! So, back in January 2021, Michael replaced my hideous cracked cement driveway and gross lawn with beautiful pavers and an amazing lawn/front garden with heirloom rose trees, poppies, ranunculus, snapdragons and more! Literally, people stop and take pictures of my yard all the time!! Cut to Phase 2- my old school pool and super outdated, ugly backyard needed a pool reno and completely new pavers/landscaping. After having several estimates from local landscapers, I was left feeling rather discouraged. I had a certain vision in mind for my enormous backyard full of dirt and it didn't seem to be anything anyone could do. I wanted a backyard with a built in fireplace and BBQ made for weekend entertainment with my family and friends. I wanted some new plants to line the border along the fence and trees that would offer a balance of color and harmony to my yard. As my frustration level began to rise, I was referred over to Dreamwork Landscape. I was hesitant to contact them as they are not local to me. From the moment they picked up the phone they sounded much more professional than the other people I had dealt with prior. I was already impressed. I explained to them my situation and where I was located (Sacramento, CA). They explained to me that they don't normally work on projects that far away, however due to the larger size and nature of this special project, they would make an exception and take it on. They came out to visit me and see my backyard. After a brief discussion, they came up with a game plan and how they would execute it. I was not only relieved but full of joy at the thought of me having my backyard done so soon!
