Dr Golab Has been my dentist for 5 years. My previous dentist was ok. He had an office that was one mile from my home. I work a lot so having a dentist close was very convenient, especially for cleanings. But when it came to getting serious work done, I wanted to find the best. I have very high standards so I spent several weeks researching different dentists and interviewing them in person by going in for an initial consultation. Dr Golab is very well spoken, detail oriented and explains everything in layman's terms. I'm smarter than the average bear, but I don't have a dental degree. He also owns the practice. I like doctors that own their own practice because they have a personal stake in making sure patients are happy. They usually go above and beyond and are not subject to restrictions of being owned by a 'medical group'. (Which means, they can apply common sense.) My GP at Baylor Medical is a good doctor, but he couldn't refill a scalp solution for psoriasis because I was two weeks late for my annual physical. Thyroid medication I understand, but something you squirt in your scalp after you wash your hair is ridiculous. He said he thought it was idiotic too, but he had no control. Dr Golab has a competent, loyal support staff. I own my own business so I know how critical that can be. His assistant Ann is awesome and has been with him forever.(This says a lot for how he treats his staff and possibly YOU.) They call you back on weekends if you have a tooth emergency. They can usually get you in the following Monday to deal with it. Logan, his receptionist is great at working with my hectic schedule on appointments. As long as you communicate with them in advance, you're not going to get scolded or told you have to re-schedule if you're 10 minutes late. Again, common sense gets applied. I'm about to get some serious work done, veneers. Not for cosmetic reasons, they are supposed to prevent my molar crowns from breaking every couple of months. I know his prices are higher than most, but teeth are not something I want to bargain shop for. I am confident he is as much of a perfectionist as I am and it will come out looking great. I can tell he has a lot of pride in his work. After I get my veneers done I would be happy to add a photo. Lastly, Dr Golab's support staff also includes his dog Chewy. Chewy intuitively knows when to jump on your lap and comfort you. (Don't worry she is tiny) My business helps dog rescues, how can I not love being comforted by a four legged fur ball? read more

I never had any problems with this area and also my dentists in the past never saw this area as a problem. This issue prompted me to seek second opinions from two periodontists and an additional general dentist. All three dental clinicians didn't agree with the findings of my new dentist but did agree that I had massive decay in two upper right-hand back teeth next to a wisdom tooth. Each of the two teeth had amalgam ("silver") fillings. All three dental professionals recommended replacing the decayed two teeth with implants. My concern was that my sinus cavity could be punctured if the implant procedure went wrong not to mention the high-cost of implements and long healing time. I had no pain or any other symptoms from this reported decayed condition including any sinus problems. I preferred saving as much of my teeth structure as possible and employing inlays or overlays (crowns) restoration. My research for another new dentist, who would attempt to save some portions of my teeth before employing the extreme implant procedure, led me to Dr. Jonathan Golab. After our first consultation, he believed that he could save at least one tooth structure and maybe both. He honestly stated that he would not know until he began his restoration procedure. He also warned me that once he started his procedure, the decay might be so extreme that root canal procedures, teeth extractions and implants may be necessary. Fortunately, Dr. Golab's originally planned dental procedure was successful. After three years, my two upper right-hand back teeth are still healthy. During this period he restored the remainder of my unhealthy teeth. Problematic amalgam filings were replaced by natural looking dental composites and old crowns were replaced by composite inlays and overlays. Additionally my crooked upper and lower front teeth were replaced by veneers. He has now improved 90 percent of my teeth! Due to traumatic dental experiences in the past, I am about as terrified of going to the dentist as it gets. Typically it takes an "emergency" for me to go. I've had a good amount of chemo due to a fight with cancer that has left my teeth brittle and in bad shape - they tend to fracture/break and my fillings fall out easily. About a year ago, one of those "cracked" teeth left me in excruciating pain. My sister-in-law is a patient of Dr. Golab and called the office to see if they could get me in. Trina (the extremely sweet and most helpful) office manager moved mountains to get me in ASAP. Dr. Golab and his assistant Nicole realized how nervous I was and handled me with much patience and sensitivity to my silly, yet real, fear of being in the chair. Dr. Golab and Nicole talked to me about everything they were doing and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Every now and then, when Nicole could sense that I was getting tense, she would pat and rub my shoulder a bit, which calmed me - I can't tell you how much I appreciate that type of genuine display of caring. I needed a very difficult procedure and Dr. Golab did an incredible job. Now those teeth and gums not only look great, but feel fantastic. I have just been through another necessary procedure and I cannot believe how much more relaxed I felt this time. The staff here continues to go out of their way to make sure I am taken care of and feel relaxed and comfortable. I cannot say enough positive things about this dentist and his staff and would NEVER go to anyone else. If I ever move out of the area, I will have to make trips back to this office for any dental work I may need. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, clean, professional environment with people who actually care about you and your dental health along with providing you with the best dental care possible, then this is the place for you. Each of the two teeth had one large and one small amalgam ("silver") filings. All three dentists unequivocally recommended implants. My concern was that my sinus cavity would be at risk if the implant procedure were employed. I had no pain or any other symptoms from this reported decay condition. I preferred saving as much of the teeth structure as possible or at least the existing teeth roots and applying inlays or overlays (crown). My research for a dentist, who would attempt to save some portions of my teeth before employing the extreme implant procedure, led me to Dr. Golab. After our first consultation, he believed that he could save at least one tooth structure and maybe both. He honestly stated that he would not know until he began his restoration procedure. He also warned me that once he started his procedure, the decay might be so extreme that root canals, tooth extraction and implants may be necessary. Trusting his approach, he diligently worked hard for three hours on me while he extracted decayed portions of my two teeth. Fortunately, he was able to save my two teeth roots plus portions facing the inside of my cheek and tongue resulting in the extraction of 50 percent of decay from each tooth above the gum line. This extraction left an upside down "U" shaped channel through each tooth. He initially installed temporary inlays and inserted permanent inlays five weeks layer. Incidentally during this long procedure, not only did he take digital photographs of my entire mouth, he also took photos of the two teeth with decay removed before temporary inlays and after the permanent inlays were installed. Those two teeth look like perfect brand new teeth without any visibility of the inlays as compared to my existing teeth. read more

I'm incredibly thankful to have found Dr. Golab and his team. I came to him for a second opinion after having two very bad experiences with previous dentists that caused worsening conditions with my teeth (I ended up having to have two root canals done due to how aggressive the other dentists treated my teeth). During my very first visit, Dr. Golab spent an hour with me to answer all my questions and explain his techniques in detail with much care and understanding about my fears. I was so impressed with the time they spent with me and Dr. Golab's confidence in his work that I decided it was worth a try. He is more conservative than a lot of dentists (preserves more healthy tooth structure) and is very highly skilled. I started treatment sometime around 2017 and have continued my care there. I have decay issues with my teeth and he has successfully worked on three quadrants of my mouth with very little pain and discomfort afterward and a totally successful recovery with no complications! Also, all the work he has done fits well and I haven't had to go back to get anything adjusted afterwards- his work is that skilled. I cannot recommend him highly enough! I was the dental patient with two very horrible experiences previous to finding him that came into his office practically shaking with fear and very high heart rate. It was so scary to try again, but I'm so thankful I gave him the opportunity. They are very good at helping those who have dental fears and are certainly worth the bit of higher cost. I know my mouth is being taken care of properly now and I'm on the road to better health. Their dental hygienist, Laura, is excellent and she has helped me to get my gums into very healthy condition. I've had terrible experiences with dentists my whole life, which led to a serious mistrust of the whole profession after endless procedures went wrong and led to more issues. After hearing my mom sing Dr. Golab's praises for years, I finally made the switch to him when my tooth was on its last leg. From the very first call with his office (which is only a few select employees), staff was nice, welcoming, and did an excellent job making me feel comfortable. After my first appointment, I felt even better after extensive time was taken to fully show me the areas of concern AND explain them like no other dentist had ever taken the time to do. Plus I got to snuggle with Chew-E the therapy dog the whole time which was comforting in itself. For my actual procedure, pictures were taken throughout so that I could be shown why certain things were necessary and what was done to fix it. It also helps I got to see examples of similar procedures beforehand too to be reassured the plan of action was the right one. This went a long way to help my trust issues, as I had come to believe dentists were always out to just add up the bill. Dr. Golab and his staff were genuine, caring, and you can tell he cares about dentistry as artistry, but also as his way of really helping people. He's not about the quick fix, but the right one. Being new to Flower Mound, and anxious about finding a great dentist in a new area - I did a ton of research online. I am very particular, so he or she had to be a highly regarded dentist, with general/cosmetic experience , community accolades, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff with a state-of-the-art office. 100%! I had my first visit. Logan was my first point of contact. Super knowledgeable and walked me through scheduling and paperwork ASAP! A VERY thorough X-ray session with Jessica was next. There were about 18 X-rays needed. No discomfort at all! Dr. Golab came in to take additional photos and discuss his opinion of what he saw and what steps to take - making sure I knew that I could decide the timing and order of the recommendations. I liked his conservative/holistic manner of treatment. Very personable. I instantly knew that he was passionate about his work. On to Laura for cleaning. She was very educational and went over products/tips I could incorporate to my oral hygiene routine. Excellent. To top off an already excellent experience, Chew-e, their adorable therapy dog, took a liking to me, and was my bud throughout my visit. I had a full mouth revision. Dr. Golab had his work cut out for him and he had many challenges. This type of dentistry is a process and not one to be undertaken lightly. I really trust my own intuition and I searched for a dentist to do my work but never that good feeling to start the revision. Then my friend Carol told me about her dentist, Dr. Golab. She spoke so highly of him and trusted him so much that she went out of network to have him as her dentist. Carol has a lovely smile and so I made my first appointment. My first impression of Dr. Golab was that he was a perfectionist in his work and I was right. I also suffered from chemical sensitivities- I believe largely to my teeth and the state they were in. Dr. Golab and team really tried to make my dental experience better by minimizing the scents in the office. My mouth had many problems but he worked tirelessly and patiently. I am now finished with my dental work and I could not be happier! Was it an investment? Yes. Was it a long road? You bet it was. There was also a glitch during the process and I was worried that I could not continue but we worked it out together. When I started looking for a me dentist online, Dr. Golab was the only dentists with 5 starts ratings in a statistically significant sample (105 reviews). That told me two things, either his office has the resources to buy 105 fake reviews, or people is really pleased with his work. The reviews spoke great about him and his team so I decided to get an appointment with them. Long story short, My experience at Dr. Golab's office was extraordinary. Something that I liked during my visit is that Dr. Golab focus on what the patient wants and what is valuable to him, rather than what will be more profitable for him. I also like that he didn't rush anything on my first visit. He was very polite and and never lost the focus on my ultimate interest from their services. I know that I will be spending more money at his office but I believe the quality of his work will be high as the quality of the attentive service from him and his team. I feel so lucky to have found our dentist 16 years ago. Who else can say that they truly enjoy getting their teeth cleaned? Dr. Golab and his staff make patients feel comfortable upon entering the office through their personable demeanor and the relaxing atmosphere. His office assistants are insurance specialists; they investigate what the patient's estimated charge will be before the patient agrees to any procedure. Therefore, there are no surprises! My regular cleanings are hassle-free, as the dental hygienist makes me feel at home with her friendly disposition and constant concern about how I am feeling throughout the procedure. And I love those chairs! I can almost fall asleep while she's cleaning my teeth! Whenever faced with a "special" procedure (a.k.a cavity filling- eek!), Dr. Golab is very proactive and uses new and reliable methods of dealing with the problem. Again, the staff and doctor make me feel so comfortable during those procedures that I don't mind getting a filling. I'm always satisfied with the results. Dr. Golab is an amazing dentist. For the last 15 years, I have had peg laterals that have been restored with just composite restorations. They were slowly deteriorating and my teeth have been shifting from not wearing my retainers. I have heard good things about Dr. Golab's cosmetic work and decided to try him. Upon beginning my appointment, I was already impressed by his level of expertise. He took pictures and takes his time to create a treatment plan that fits my needs. Yesterday I went to Dr Golab's dental office. It was my fourth visit, and for the fourth time I still couldn't feel his numbing injection. Wow. Previously, during the first visit, while waiting for my x-rays, I read some material he had on the table. It had to do with how a healthy mouth directly influences our general health because we're always swallowing. Gulp. Well, then I saw my x-rays. He along with Celeste gently showed me the cavities under my crowns. Yikes. PRET-TY BAD. Thank God, he's already fixed four of them! Yesterday I had one of my last appointments and unbelievable walked out of his office so content. (Yep!... from the dentist's office, no less.) I have been a patient of Dr. Golab's for 3 years now and I couldn't be happier with the way my dental work has turned out, not only was he able to take away my pain but my teeth feel stronger than ever. I have a tiny mouth and Dr. Golab as well as his assistant Gaby are always gentle and careful. I haven't always liked coming to the dentist for work but they are able to put me at ease. Selina is my favorite Hygienist, I always leave feeling super clean and educated on the latest and greatest holistic and non holistic options for my oral care. My favorite part about his practice is he only sees 1 patient at a time, which helps a nervous patient like myself feel at ease while in his chair. Everyone is so friendly at the office and everything is so organized. The office has a very homey feel and you can tell they everyone there has lots of experience in dentistry because everything in the office runs flawlessly. I am so glad to have found a dentist who has his foot in both worlds of mainstream dentistry and holistic dentistry, and I personally avoid fluoride and am able to do so here at this dentist office. Dr. Golab is amazing at what he does, he has helped save my boyfriend's teeth (poor guy has horrible genes for teeth) and we know that our money is well spent here because Dr. Golab has helped his teeth so much. I am so happy to have found a dentist I can trust! Finally! He has the great job of fixing the mess my last dentist made, and so far he has done a great job! He is the first dentist I am not scared to go to, and for the first time I don't have to worry for a week prior to my dentist appointment. Everyone in the office is very nice and helpful, and it is a very relaxing environment. I just recently set up an appointment for my daughter so that she can get the proper care that her past dentist didn't provide her, and we both are coming all the way from Louisiana in order to get this care. I was a little worried going to a dentist not on my insurance plan because I would have to pay more than my regular dentist copay. But since I broke a front tooth and needed this to be fixed right, I went here. The receptionist was very helpful and got me in right away. I arrived and the place was immaculate, and I mean "clean my house please I need you!!!!!" Anyways, I felt better already, and I then was greeted by the doctor and his nurse. Very fun, made me relax (as much as I could) and aside from that rubber thing that they put around your teeth, it was painless, and I cannot even tell that I broke my front tooth at all. This pressing need led me to Dr. Golab, after extensive research and the desire to find a dentist that would truly take proper care of my decaying teeth. Prior traumatic and apparently poor dentistry has made me weary and wary of all dentistry. Sadly, it happens more often than not. Today's visit, though somewhat extensive, was smoothly and carefully performed by Dr. Golab and I couldn't be more pleased, so far!
