Sign said "please sit yourself." We sit for 10 minutes no acknowledgement from staff. Had to grab our own menu's from a different table. Additional 10 minutes no acknowledgement so we decided to leave. As we are leaving one of the waitresses grabbed the menu's off the table and cleaned it off. The restaurant closes at 12am we were there at 8:30pm...... unreal. First visit and last. read more

I have been a regular to Jonathan's, especially during football season. Food is generally good and I like the layout for a sports grill. Unfortunately, on my last visit there was a 'hospitality fee' added to the bottom of the bill-the first time it was mentioned anywhere. It was only a small amount, but when I asked about it, I was told it was added so they don't have to keep changing the menu prices and also so they could ensure good service (?!?!) I find this distasteful, if not unethical (even though it is a small amount, they hide it and don't mention it). This is right up there with a tire store adding a charge for tire valve stems or airlines adding a charge to get a seat. Jonathan's has a habit of this 'nickel and dime' stuff. I had only started going back there recently, after stopping when they added a 'credit card fee' (that they have stopped now). Why do they need to do this? Just be honest and up front and put what the actual prices are. With these habits, it will be a long time before I go back even though I like the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. I met a buddy here for a beer and a bite for some just needed "out of the house time" man time. Jonathan's always has a great happy hour deal for a cold refreshing beverage and here's how our time went; Ambiance: Typically set up for finding and a nice large bar in the back with food service and lots of screens to watch what's going on. Service: The bar staff was prompt, professional and friendly taking my drink order and asking if I'd like food as well. They poured my beverage of choice and didn't bring g my second heading schedule but patiently awaited me to be finished with the initial one. Food: We orders the wings (dry rub parmesan garlic) and they were excellent - hadn't tried them before and really enjoyed them overall. They were hot, not overly spiced but had good flavor and were a good portion. Value: The 2 for 1 is hard to beat and they always have at least 1 IPA i like so it's easy to make this a choice for a regular spot for a meet-up. This place is hopping even on a Sunday night. Sat in the bar area, slammed. Went with teriyaki salmon with white rice and a side of fresh fruit. Nicely Fire grilled salmon bathed in teriyaki sauce but not swimming in it. Nice texture with white rice, done really well. The flavor of my salmon tonight was great, flaky and soft on the inside and nice grill marks on the outside. Fresh fruit was nicely cut up pieces of strawberries, pineapple, green apple and red apple Along with some grapes. Service by Haley was quick and very responsive. Straight up love Johathans...BUT placed a take out order for two fish & chips. Was told to go to bar and they will have it for me. The bartender gives me the bill, give her a tip and head home. Checking my bill at home I see that they added 18-20% (assuming tip) but didn't have the decency to tell me I double tipped her. Total BS. So disappointed in what happened we haven't returned since. Is this their policy or did she take advantage of a Friday evening rush and pad her tip? Won't be back unless I get an explanation. read more

Been here at least once a week for the last 4 years, had enough. Food service , well he was definitely new so I didn't complain, never got what I asked for. I ordered Grilled Chicken. Easy-pezy right? WRONG , was like eating the sole of a shoe. Sent it back, something I dont do unless it's really bad. Brought out the second round, tough and stringy again like it was frozen and thawed and frozen and thawed maybe a couple more times. I paid and didn't complain anymore but I was steaming on the way home. $50 for that and I was steaming. Got home, called the restaurant and spoke with a manager. He apologized and told me I should have complained while I was there. I told him we were with others and I didn't want to ruin their time. Lost a good customer over a $50 tab and lack of attention on sending food back and not reporting to the table with the problem. To many better places to spend my hard earned money on. read more

We've been customers at Jonathon said various locations for more than six years, I am sorry to say that I have seen the consistency lacking . It's really become hit or miss rather than a sure thing to get a quality meal and as prices continue to rise everywhere I'm looking for consistency and quality. Jonathan's just doesn't fit that profile for me and my family. The restaurant business is extremely competitive. You're only as good as your last meal and at Jonathon grille that's not always a guarantee ...so we'll be looking for other places to dine out moving forward. I was a general manager for major restaurant chains in the past . It's my hope that Jonathon's leadership takes a good look at their business, gets their managers out on the floor, talking to customers which almost never happens anymore, with management becoming more visible and talking to customers at the table. Jonathan's owners and managers: I have this parting advice : pay attention to the customers that you have today because if they're not taken care of , served quality and consistent good value menu offerings the customers you have today may not be so quick to return tomorrow. read more

We absolutely love this place and continue to come back because of the consistently great experience. Joseph is our favorite bartender! He's always friendly, attentive and excellent at what he does. The food is consistently high quality, everything tastes great and the service is always outstanding. Our only concern during our most recent visit was the temperature inside the restaurant. The windows were open and it was around 80 degrees indoors, which made it very uncomfortable and almost caused us to leave. Normally the atmosphere is cool and comfortable, so we're hoping this was just a one time issue... Aside from that experience, we still can't give this place anything less than 5 stars because we genuinely love coming here and have consistently had great experiences with both the food and service! Loved the food here , went on weekday as I was staying in hotel next to it. I had hummus and Brussels sprouts as appetizer . Brussel sprouts were amazing and we ordered it twice. Served was nice and she helped to order and menu is too big. For main course served helped me to order pizza in flat bread style which was nice and crunch , reducing star as mushroom on pizza was bland and nut fully cooked . Ambiance is very noisy so if not recommended to bring small kids but rest it's worth visiting. read more

We've been going to Jonathan's Restaurant in Spring Hill, TN for quite some time. Usually, the food is good and service is ok. In checking my bill on a recent visit, I noticed a line item for "Convenience Fee". It appears that the chain is charging a fee for the use of credit cards for payment. That should be an operating expense of the establishment and not my expense. That 3% fee is what the credit cards routinely charge a business for processing a card charge. Considering that most restaurants don't pass that charge along by line item, I have a choice of paying cash or changing my selection of restaurants. Carrying around cash is not convenient, so I'll opt to change my selection of restaurants. Too bad. read more

We've been to Jonathan's in Spring Hill several times, and while the food is absolutely amazing--truly one of the best in town--it's hard to ignore the consistently frustrating service. Every visit, we're greeted slowly at the bar, and even when the place is half empty, it takes forever for anyone to take our order. It's disappointing because the food and their happy hour food specials are what always bring us back. The happy hour food deals are some of the best in town, offering great value for delicious options. On a positive note, their happy hour is fantastic--hands down the best in town, with great drink specials that make it worth the stop. But it's hard to enjoy the experience when the staff seems so slow and inattentive. We really hope they improve the service because the food and happy hour definitely have us wanting to return.the ambiance is great too. You can also mix the toppings on each pizza. The place is loud, but it's to be expected being a Sports Bar. Pizzas can be made with traditional crust or thin. It was really good and crispy, the way we like it. Don't let a full parking lot scare you. We were a party of 8 and were seated right away. Stopped in on a Friday evening at 5:30 and was immediately seated. When we left after 6:15 there was a line of people waiting. There are lots of options to choose from. Several tvs inside to look at, and they also have outside seating. Taylor waited on us and did an outstanding job. I tried the blackened fish and chips. Fries and coleslaw were very good. Decent sports bar. Large space, good sized parking lot, the place clearly gets busy. Lots of TVs. Good variety of seating, including a few tables outside. Front desk service was meh. Three staff kept talking to each other while we stood at the desk. Finally one got two menus and said "this way". No hello or friendly acknowledgement. Wait staff service was fine though. Prompt and friendly taking orders, regularly checked on. Nice selection of draft, including a few locals like Gerst. Like the 2 for 1 happy hour - one to slam down, one to sip. Bam bam shrimp were large and pretty tasty. Enjoyed the french dip. Not too big, and not overflowing with beef, but still a decent dinner, with good au jus for dipping. Particularly liked the house made chips. A few for the wife, who enjoyed with her bbq chicken flat bread, and I happily downed the rest. Food is still pretty good but our last 2 visits have had horrible service. Today I took my son there for his birthday. They brought our appetizer, but no plates. The waitress never did bring the salad that came with my mom's meal. Only one of us got a drink refill. They didn't even ask if we wanted dessert, just slapped the check down. We were there before the dinner rush, so there were only about 5 tables with people in the entire place. We will probably give this place a break for a long time, if we ever go back it will be to a different location. read more

I went here with some relatives recently and we really enjoyed it. The food is pretty good. The appetizers i tried were bam bam shrimp and pizza rolls. The shrimp was pretty tasty and the pizza rolls were pretty good. I got the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were ok, they weren't bad. The chicken tenders were good. Our waiter was really nice and did a good job. One weird thing is that someone forgot to put silverware on our table, we asked our waiter and they got us some. The inside was nice and had some dim lighting, but it was loud in there and there were a few moments where it was hard to hear people talk.
