Disappointing. Perhaps an off nite, usually we have tony as our waiter and he goes above and beyond. The last couple times it's been less quality. Tonight most of the items were not up to temp. The French onion soup was not hot and it seemed they just melted the cheese with a torch. Same with the Mac and cheese. The shrimp was not hot , nor was the rice. If you are going to be a steak house, the steak should at least have a good flavor and taste like beef. Lobster tail: decent, but finished fishier than it should. Onion soup: cheese not melted, very little broth, tasted mostly like salt. Potato Soup: decent but lukewarm. Bread: ok, but leaning towards being stale. We have been regular customers of the Spring Hill Longhorn, but I'm not sure we will be any longer. We dined in on Friday, 02/27/26, at 3:00. Our server didn't have her mind on her job that day. It wasn't that she bumped the tray on the booth, dumping everything on the floor, breaking glasses of drinks. That was just an accident. It was how she behaved afterwards. Our orders were wrong, she had to be flagged down for any service at all. She was too busy dancing in the aisle over from us, laughing and talking, flirting with another server. Food was very good, appetizers and drinks came out super fast. Shrimp app was very good. Had a fillet, mashed potatoes and rice. Steak was very tender, potatoes were middle of the road, and rice was really really good. Only gripe was the steak had a tad too much seasoning, but def didn't need any sauces to get it down. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our requested temperatures, with a delicious sear and seasoned just right--each bite was tender and full of flavor. The sides were impressive, with something for everyone. The mac and cheese was a standout, easily one of the best I've had at any restaurant! It was creamy, cheesy, and had a perfect crispy topping--absolutely to die for. The Brussels sprouts are actually so good. The ambiance is great for a date night or a family gathering but can be a bit dim in the lighting if that bothers you. The staff is friendly and hospitable without overwhelming you. I love coming here for the delicious steak. It's usually a pretty quiet environment that makes for an excellent date night. Tonight we were seated at around 9pm and couldn't hear each other over the vacuum. I understand keeping the place clean but to vacuum the entire restaurant while people are trying to enjoy a quiet meal is ridiculous. The restaurant closes at 11pm. I don't understand why they can't use a carpet sweeper and wait to run the vacuum until after the customers have left. We asked them to stop vacuuming so we could have a conversation without shouting so they moved to a different t section and vacuumed over there. Not a relaxing place to have a meal. read more

I came to this location on 11/21/25, on My birthday. I couldn't treat myself because the 2 hosts prioritized their guests and excluded me! I was present before many. I acknowledge customers that pull up and park their cars. While I was sitting and waiting for a table, they allowed many to get in front of me. We visited yesterday for the first time with a large group celebrating a birthday party. Our server was newer and hustled to keep us taken care of. The kitchen didn't help him as food was coming out at different times and a few people in our party didn't get food until others had finished their meal. Overall the food to me was average compared to the size of my bill. I had the Long Horn burger, which was decent but nothing special. We were told that it came with two sides, but when the bill came were charged extra for one of them. Three in our party got the smothered chicken which they enjoyed, and one got a rack of ribs which he enjoyed but described as average compared to others he'd had. We ate here not long ago, and I've been meaning to write a review because it was so good. The restaurant was busy, but our server took great care of us and was pleasant even though she must've been exhausted (it seemed like they were a little short-handed that night). We shared a delicious salad, and my husband and I each had filet mignon. It was cooked to perfection, my "medium" was indeed "medium," not "medium rare" or "medium well," and it was delicious! The baked potato that I got was so good that I didn't leave a scrap of it on my plate--the waitress must've thought I was starving. I like LongHorns, and this is very a nice location. Plenty of space and seating is a split floor, one raised and gives a nice feeling of space and privacy. Serving is top-notch. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. Food was good. Nice shrimp appetizer. Godo steak. Not great, but good. Somehow the sauce on top was overpowering and they added too much salt. We go all the time at 5 ish with my disabled dad. He can not wait to be seated so we go very early. He is in a wheel chair so they always give us a table where they can just take 1 chair away. The staff fight over him because he is funny and a huge tipper. Tonight the service was horrible. We tell them the same thing every time take it slow but tonight everything came out at once and I mean everything, salads appetizer you name it and then the waitress blamed me and the kitchen staff. She told me it was my fault because we came early and the kitchen was not busy so they just cooked everything and served it within 1 minute of each other. She wanted to bring the entrees back into the kitchen to keep them warm while we had our salads. How do you keep a steak warm for 15 minutes? without ruining it? I'm not usually a frequenter of "chain" steakhouse but was very pleased with Longhorn. Traveling for work doesn't always afford me the opportunity to be to picky about where I dine. Longhorn was a quick walk from my hotel. A big plus. Anyway, I'll go scant on details, they serve the usual fare but my meal was spot on! The massive 20oz ribeye was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides and salad were fantastic. Loved the sweet tater. I ate in the bar, since it was just me and that was they only downside, the rush of to go orders being picked up. Where to start... They are extremely liberal with terribly strong smelling cleaning product that made the table smell like a display at Bath and Body Works. After being seated with no silverware or napkins, we were given bread with no knife. Asked for silverware, and was given a stack of paper napkins (still no silverware). Finally, after our family was huddled around the butter, trying to wipe just a touch on our hand torn bread, our silverware arrived. Ordering went ok. Then the arrival... Our sons kids sirloin steak and broccoli was nearly floating in a pool of disgusting artificial tasting garlic butter. If you sneezed to hard it might have floated off the plate. The butter coated everything to the point you could not actually taste the meat of the steak. My 12oz Ribeye was requested to be cooked Pittsburg style, which should be full rare center with heavy sear. When it arrived, it had minimal searing, with a few flecks of char, and effectively cooked medium, fully cooked with a trace of pink. The sweet potato provided was a dry, shriveled up abomination, so over cooked it was faintly grey in color. The waitress looked at us with the classic Gen Z furled lip and and zero apologies. I asked for a refire, with clarification on the preparation. 10+ minutes later, after our family was finished and ready to depart, the manager finally arrived with another sorry looking steak. Note: The food was sorry, but apparently the waitstaff and management was not. No apology provided. None. At this point, we said no thank you, asked for our check and departed with headaches from the strawberry body lotion aroma of the dining room. Longhorn used to be a staple in our house for its consistent quality and service, but that seems to be a relic of the pre-Covid past. Now on to McDonalds drive through so I can actually eat something before the family car meets its "meltdown free" time limit. read more

Terrible food and very slow service! My husband and I are regular patrons of Longhorn Steakhouse, but the Spring Hill, TN location needs to learn how to cook a meal. My husband's brussel sprouts were stale and not seasoned; his parmesan crusted chicken came out cold and my medium rare steak came out cold along with a tiny sweet potato whose cinnamon butter had gotten onto my steak. We had the waiter send the food back, only to come back with a dried out overcooked chicken, no seasoning on the sprouts, and my steak went from medium rare to very well done. Manager came out and told us the food will be completely redone and come out piping hot in a matter of minutes. Twenty minutes went by still no food...party of five got there food on time. My husband and I were so disappointed that we did not stay for another minute. I will not go back to this restaurant again. read more

Had dinner there July 1st. I will start off by saying there was no issue with staff. Drinks were kept full and had fresh hot bread. But.... Overall the dinner was very disappointing. First, the salad could be described as honey mustard soup. There was so much dressing the salad was swimming in dressing. I ordered the 8oz sirloin. The quality was ok but it was basically a piece of meat slapped on the grill... it wasn't even seasoned with salt or pepper... just a plain steak. We've always had good food and service here, but today was awful. We got there around 11:20am and went in. After 5 minutes or so, a hostess came and seated us. 10 minutes later we put in our drink order and an appetizer. We did not see our server again until about noon. We placed our order and waited 40 minutes for our food. My steak was way overcooked and lacked the juicy flavor that we continue to go here for. Our server checked on our drinks at this point and we didn't see her again for another 20 minutes. We chased her down to ask for the check and a box so we could leave. She spent and additional 15 minutes bringing the check and another 10 to pick it up. This was the longest 2 1/2 hour lunch of my life. When we arrived, there were only two other tables taken. It took a while to get two waters, an unsweet tea,and a coke. My boyfriend got a medium well steak that came out medium rare, and so did his dad. Been going here since this place has opened. It has become a good stable place to go for a good tasting and done well steak in spring hill. I love a good ribeye done medium rare. They have a good crust and seasoning on the outside and tender and well marbles cut of meat on the inside. To go with it, a basic baked potato with butter and I add Heinz 57 steak sauce. I do not use sauce on my steak st Longhorn. It tastes great with nothing but their butter and seasoning on it. The sauce goes into my baked potato. My first time in Tennessee and everything was great -- drinks, appetizer, salads, sides -- but my filet mignon was the most skinniest and cooked to death steak I have ever had in my life. I had ordered "medium well" because I am used to 1 & 1/2 inch filet mignon, but had no idea the meat would only be 1/2 inch thick. Usually I love longhorn, but usually I eat at a different location...we went to this location with a party of 8 and we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. That was no problem..after 45 minutes I asked and was told we were about to be seated in the coveted corner booth...luckily two members of our party were around 80 years old and can barely sit in a chair I didn't even bring that up..then the hostess asked if we minded being separated. She said it would be another hour for us to sit together because they had "2 party's of 20 people come in". I said we would sit in the booth even though I never said we wouldn't after I was told they were gonna set us there. Kinda confusing After we made our way in the booth the first thing we were told by our server was "sorry we are out of bread". That would have been no big deal if it wasn't for the fact I watched two other tables have bread brought to them as we sat there By this point I was too pissed to really even care about the rest of the "experience". Luckily for me my medium steak I had was probably the toughest piece of leather I've tried to chew in a long time. The other seven steaks we ordered weren't any better.
