Update: I had hired Jonathan again. This time it was for my 40th high school reunion. Time flies. Tyrick was our guy. He was early and did a great job all night. We did run out of one meat early and only had one bag of chips; however, the rest of the food made up for the deficiencies. The mango salsa is still the standout. Please note that Jonathan gets his business by word of mouth and uses text messages for his communication so if you're okay with a more informal booking, you'll be fine. Jonathon came by and just served his tacos at my company lunch today. He was very easy to work with and was very prompt. He served about 50 employees and did so in a very professional and timely manner. Also his pricing is unbeatable. The food was delicious and all my coworkers can't stop talking about it. The steak and chicken were great, but my favorite was the pork, it was amazing! He let me know that he preps his meats the day before so they can marinate all day. He also had fresh made mango salsa, onions, cilantro, and red & green sauce. There was also rice, chips, and beans served. He made it very easy for us by providing plates and utensils. The best I have ever had! Jonathan catered about 50 guests at my sister laws surprise birthday party. His food and service was superb! The price was unbeatable! He provided three types of meats. These guys catered a party I had Saturday night in Venice. The guys were super early, set up incredibly fast, were very professional, and the food was absolutely amazing! Every guest commented to me about how good the food was! The tacos were excellent and the "fusion" was spectacular. They provided plates and plastic ware and they helped make the party a huge success. I've used other services before, and they're good, but Jonathan was just as good, food was absolutely awesome, and the price was definitely the best. I threw a surprise bday for my wife in our backyard, and for about 30 people, we almost finshed all the food that was supposed to be for 50 ($350). The asada, al pastor, and pollo were great. The pico, onions/cilantro, other salsas were great. Tortillas, great. Rice and beans, great. Jonathan and his guy John, great. They were prompt, setup was quick, the food was prepared right there, and everyone just loved it. Their service and attitude were friendly, comfortable, and professional. With all the other shit I had to worry about for the surprise bday, food was thankfully, not one I had to worry about. When I called Jonathan two days before my event that I needed catered for 60 people, he came to the rescue and took care of everything. He was always available over the phone and through text for updates on the menu and ETA. He created a customized menu for the my guests including vegan, gluten free and vegetarian options. My favorite was the salmon and portobello taco, it was amazing! He arrived with all his supplies and condiments for the perfect plate of tacos. Horrible service! I was very disappointed with this service due to the fact that Jonathan didn't deliver what he promised. First of all, he sent someone else on behalf of him. Second, the guy didn't bring enough meat for the expected people (minimum service of 50 people is what he advertises), instead he brought for 30 people. Third, the guy brought half of the Horchata. Fourth, never supplied with the plates, napkins and utensils because they decided to use ours instead of the ones he promised with the service. Fifth, the guy took off after setting up to pick up the rest of the Horchata. Sixth, tacos weren't ready until one hour and fifteen minutes later. Seventh, the guy was always on his phone! Eight, the guy ran out of meat!!!! Lastly, the guy decided to take off an hour early without asking me first. I will never hire this business ever again. It completely sucks! read more

I work at a corporate and every month we have a company luncheon. We called a few different taco places to see if they could provide what we wanted, but a few of the places said they couldn't, it was out of our budget, they didn't have everything we wanted, and some even just told us to call us a different place and suggested places for us. We were about to give up and find a different type of food for this month's luncheon. However, one of my co-workers was able to find Jonathan's taco service on yelp. We were a bit hesitant to use him at first because we did not known anyone who used his service. We called him the next day and he offered us a great deal. We had about 50-60 people and he said he could give it to us for $350. Great price! (It's a bit more if you use your card though.) We wanted to start serving people at 12pm sharp so he came early, got prepared, and was able to do that. He said he got up at 6AM to prepare everything for our lunch. We had three different meat options-- carne asada (beef), chicken, and al pastor (pork). I wasn't able to try the beef because I was one of the last ones to get my food, so he ran out of it, but he told me his personal favorite was the pork anyway. I realllllllyyy enjoyed the pork. The chicken to me was a bit mediocre, but I think it's because I ate it after I ate the flavorful and juicy pork first. When he first arrived, we thought it would not be enough food, considering at our company, people love to eat. We even went out to get more food, but got a phone call telling us that he kept saying it was okay and not to worry. We ended up not getting the extra food. Each employee got about 3-5 tacos each, and it was plenty. I had 5 tacos to myself-- 4 pork and 1 chicken. Must I say again, the pork one was delicious!! Jonathan told me that the tacos taste the best with the mango pico de gallo with the green sauce on top, which is what I did. IT WAS SO GOOD. Jonathan also provided beans and rice as well, but I'm not much of a rice or bean eater, so I didn't really try that. His services included plates, the meat, beans, rice, mango picodegallo, reg salsa, green sauce, onions and cilantro, as well as tortilla chips. The tortilla chips aren't like the tostitos ones you find at the market. These were thick, crunchy, and I liked them a lot more. The only thing was that he ran out of the mango pico de gallo pretty fast. Seemed like everyone loved it. Other than that, everything was perfect and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food. I give three stars for the food and three stars for service. The meats themselves were delicious. BUT the rice and beans were not, not at all. The rice was dry and looked liked it had been reheated many, many times. The beans had not flavor at all. The salsas looked watered down, the onion/cilantro was actually a container with chopped onion and cilantro sprinkled in with the onion. Three stars for service only because Jonathan never told me it wouldn't be him covering our event. The entire time we communicated he never once mentioned it wouldn't be him. He was professional, very reasonably priced and showed up early, which I greatly appreciate. The employees enjoyed the tacos. Jonathan was friendly and cleaned up quickly and effectively. If you need a caterer for your party, i do recommend Jonathans mobile taco. I initially gave him a date which turned out to be the wrong one (not checking my calendar) and when he confirmed a few days b4 the party i told him that its the wrong day. But he still managed to fix everything and accomodated us in his schedule. They came in an hour early to set up and they will bring everything that they needed for their taco, u dont have to worry about anything. Food was great! Jonathan catered a suprise birthday party i threw for my brother at the end of April. His crew of his brother and sister in law arrived really early and were left on their own to set up, since i was still decorating, and they did so very considerately. The tacos were a hit!!
