I've heard only good things about this place. The day I went, it was terribly disappointing. Truthfully it seemed like whoever cooked the sides, didn't want to cook that day. Like a kid. The potato salad had the biggest chunks of potatoes I had ever seen. The baked beans had little to no taste, no sugar, a touch is cinnamon. My mom for whom I bought the dinner didn't eat either side dish. My daughter had the Mac n cheese and she said it had more cheese than noodles and the ribs didn't have enough sauce. The bbq sauce is really good, the ribs were NOT tender juicy fall off the bone they were a bit tough. The Mac and cheese was okay and the cornbread was delish. My partner ordered the pulled pork, baked beans and cornbread said all was good, only wished he had more sauce for the pork. There is a problem with safe food handling. The staff was nice we took our food home to eat as we are only 5 minutes from Jonesez. Even though it had only five minutes since we picked up our food the pulled pork was room temperature and needed to be warmed up. This should have been a warning sign and not eaten it but assumed it was safe because of the previous reviews. A few hours after eating it we started feeling sick. Why didn't we find this place sooner. We stumbled upon this truck on the way out of town as we were stopping at a gas station. It smelled heavenly and we had to give it a try! We got ribs, bbq, Mac and cheese, collards, corn bread and peach cobbler. Let me tell you, not a thing we got was anything less than outstanding! The bbq was some of the best I've had in a while. Nice and juicy, it didn't need sauce, but when paired, you have a true delicacy. The corn bread and peach cobbler were also standouts as each had just the right level of sweetness. Ok. I am a tough grader when it comes to BBQ. After reading some of the other reviews, I was expecting something spectacular. As it was, it was pretty much ho-hum. In retrospect, my first clue should have been the two propane tanks on the smoker and no wood piles around. We got the pulled pork and pulled chicken. Both came with two sides. The meat was lean but did not have a smoky flavor. My second clue should have been there was not a piece of bread inside the box. The sauce portion was small so no bread was needed to soak up any excess sauce. There wasn't any extra. I ended up putting more of my own sauce on it at home. If there was any kind or rub on the meats, I could not detect it. The sides we got were green beans, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The greens were tender and well seasoned as were the green beans. The cole slaw and macaroni were average. So the good things: no wait, not greasy, no fighting over the napkins, no need to take a bath or wash your face after eating it. read more

I have their BBQ ribs with green beans and cole slaw once before at a different location. Their truck moved from one location to another throughout the year. Their menu is really simple, BBQ ribs, chicken, pulled pork in sandwich or plate. The sides are collard greens, baked beans, yellow rice, cole slaw and Mac & Cheese. Today, I treated myself to a pulled pork sandwich plate with baked beans and Mac & Cheese. The pulled pork with spicy BBQ sauce is just hit the right spot! The baked beans have that sweet taste with a little pork or bacon there. Nicely done! The Mac & Cheese baked well. All these with a can of Pepsi for just $12. We had to wait to eat until we got home, reheated the ribs for a few mins in the oven and I had sweet memories of the smoker smell in the parking lot !
