The baked potato was average in size and came with only a packet of sour cream and a few butter packets, so it felt fairly basic. The corn on the cob was half a portion but was okay. Memory of juicy baby back ribs with bean, okra, cole slaw and a pitcher of beer run through my mind! I'm alone, so I just ordered a BBQ Rib Snack for lunch, 3 pieces of pork ribs with bean, cole slaw and toast! Today, the smoked ribs is OK but I smothered a lot sweet BBQ sauce to get rid of dryness! Upon exiting our car, we could smell the aroma of smoked meats! The inside is rustic in a genuine way. I loved my meal. The baby back ribs just fell off the bone, the garlic toast was good, the hush puppies full of corn flavor, the corn on the cob was tender but not mushy the way frozen ears can be. We've been here several times and have officially added it into our rotation. When you pull into the parking lot, you're filled with the mouthwatering smoky aroma. The prices are fair and the portions are HUGE every time. I love how the entrees come with 3 sides AND garlic bread! I always get the pork spare ribs. They are sooooo meaty and when I get the large, it's enough for several meals for me. It's smoky and delicious and I love how it isn't smothered in bbq sauce so I can dip it in sweet bbq sauce on the side. The fried okra is always nice and crispy and they give you ranch for dipping. If you've had really good bbq this is NOT it. Tired it twice and I'd give it 4 out of 10. I've lived in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Texas. They have great Bbq. I've traveled thru the Carolinas and they have good Bbq but use a mustard based sauce as opposed to tomato based bbq sauce. All the kids sat together while parents sat in other booths. They handled the confusing checks really well! The food was perfect between games. Just the right amount of protein for the kids. Prices were good. My salad hit the spot, especially since it was so hot during the games. I can't believe it was so big and less than $11. The cole slaw was fresh, a little on the sweet side, but good. The baked beans were delicious, well cooked and included shredded meat. I really enjoyed them. When I walked in the restaurant was very clean I was greeted immediately and the weight staff was very friendly and professional and efficient. I watch the other weight staff members as they dealt with all the customers and they were just wonderful. The food that I ordered was very good. It also came with a baked potato which was a decent size and quality for the price. The problem was with the ribs. They did not have much in the way of taste. And the meat was very tough. If you're wearing dentures avoid the ribs. The Texas toast was very good. The draft beer was a good value.
