It was awesome that they had all the spices I grew up with and to see the bowls and jars and cups I would see on my trips to Tijuana, Mexico. The prices are pretty high for your typical queso fresco or Mexican sour cream. They do have pretty cool options for frozen meals as I saw empanadas and pupusas that were frozen. The meat section did not look appetizing and produce was looking a bit rough. I would say if you want to try Hispanic medicines then this is your spot. Such as Vicks or Beoncolin or honestly there are so many products that you'll find what you need. It is a very small space and noticed they opened a bakery/ restaurant next door. It smelled delicious just wish they had more options for bread.

The churro was sliced length-wise and a filling added, making it delightfully gooey. The sweet cream croissant thingy had some crisp to it. It was more of the standard bready inside. It was some serious stuff. Please don't let the tame exterior or locaiton of this place cause you to overlook it! They also have a restaurant that looks promising. I'll edit this review after I try it.

We ordered Al pastor tacos (comes without pineapple), carne asada taco, esquites & a soup (can't remember what the name is) and i would say the food is decent here. The wait time is pretty long just an fyi. I would not recommend the esquites, it was really liquidity at the bottom and it was just too much mayo for me. I definitely had better. Other than that, the place is open pretty late so perfect for late night munchies.

When I got there, I went to the ordering counter, but nobody was there. I saw people cooking at the grill and in the kitchen, Im sure at least 3 people saw me standung there, but nobody came to help me. Thankfully, the phone rang so somebody came out. When I got my order, there was oil and sauce on the bag from dirty hands, but worst of all nothing tasted fresh. The tortilllas with the tacos were hard, the al pastor was dry, and the meat/onion ratio was heavy on the onions. The avocado was dark, lettuce was wolted and the limes did not produce much juice. I usually love Los Ocampos, but I won't be going back to this location.

I ordered breakfast (served all day) and the sunflower toast...OMG! Star of the show! The entire meal was hot and fresh. Then we hit the bakery. This isn't explicitly stated anywhere though so I can see how it can get you turned around like the other reviews state. Staff at the counter was super friendly and very open to suggestions though so that's a plus. We brought my niece here for a "birthday brunch" on here 21st and overall had a great time. The inside of the shop isn't anything to write home about but it's cute and great for the atmosphere we were looking for. More of a chill vibe where you can hang out and talk, think cute coffee shop meets diner type vibe. The food was good, not amazing, but still pretty decent. A little bit speedy for what you get. in my opinion but overall pretty good. I got the biscuits and gravey which maybe had a little too much greens added on top. It messed with the texture of the rest of the dish but the flavor was there and overall I enjoyed it. All in all a solid breakfast spot. A little bit spendy, but feels pretty in line with a more traditional sit down restaurant pricing these days.

Since I stopped eating beef, I've asked a couple times if they could make the birria tacos the same way but with chicken instead. Nothing complicated--just the same ingredients (cheese, onion, cilantro) but with chicken. In the past, it's been done without issue. However, during my recent visit on Wednesday, I had a very disappointing experience. The woman taking my order sighed, rolled her eyes, and acted visibly annoyed when I asked if they could substitute chicken. I asked if there was a problem, and she just said no, but kept making noises and giving attitude. She eventually called someone named Diego, but at that point, I had already decided I wasn't comfortable having her prepare my food and canceled the order. It was really upsetting because I go out of my way just to come to this location. I've always enjoyed the food, but I won't continue to support a business where customers are treated with disrespect. There's no reason to make someone feel like an inconvenience for asking a simple, polite request.
