    Jon's Classic

Thanks to Marisol D's review, I found out about the new Jon's Joint. I've been here twice now. The first time here, I was wowed by my smash burger (Jon's Classic). At first bite, I thought, where before have I experienced this tasty special sauce? I then realized it was at iconic Dick's in Seattle, where I used to live. Dick's was the go-to burger place in Seattle. I'm thinking, I love Jon's Classic burger! I also got the basic fries. For $4.50 you get a huge bag of fries, and I mean huge. The fries are decent. On the condiments stand, there are about 5 or 6 different kind of sauces in squirt bottles that you can use for your fries. Jon's also packs one or two little containers of sauce in with your fries. I came back a second time this past weekend and was a little disappointed. The Jon's special sauce on the burger was gone and replaced with just a heavy smear of mayo. Also this time, the sauces packed with the fries were a different kind than on my first visit. Granted that Jon's right now is operating under a soft opening (they don't open until 2pm) and they are getting the kinks out, I'd hope they focus on consistency. The four stars are for the fact that Jon has shown they're capable of creating a great burger. Service both times was cordial, quick and efficient.

Hot, fresh & made to order! Highly recommend & can't wait to go back. Clean establishment & friendly employees. Also unselfish with sauces, which is rare nowadays.

Really on the fence here. I had a TikTok of theirs pop up so decided to go since it was close to home. My burger buns were soggy and the fries even soggier. The jalapeño burger would be nice if maybe the grilled them instead of just throwing ones from a can on the burger. The combo meal amd and extra burger for 2 people was about $30 so not too bad compared to other reaturants in the area. I would look into different fries because they had zero flavor and were soggy. Service was fats and place waa busy. Nice to amhave a new burger join in the area thay isn't a 5 guy's.

The food was not as advertised. The price point for the food was unrealistic. These burgers were worst than McDonald's McDouble which are $2.50 btw. I didn't dine in but looked around and the sitting area seemed small. The inside was brightly lite. The service was fast but by the final product should've took long to make that.

Best burgers! The OKC burger, juicy lucy, and jalapeo burgers were delicious. Had an amazing experience with the person who took our order; he was so helpful and patient. Chill place. They have an arcade game available to play, Mortal Kombat 2. Overall highly recommend!

Service was good. Burger was overcooked and was crunchy. Fries were okay. Nicely done interior. I don't think I'll go back.

Definitely make reservations before you go because this place gets packed! We ordered the chicken biscuit gravy with chorizo, and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the MMT Breakfast, which gave us a little sample of everything. The homemade biscuits were amazing, and the bacon was not that cheap, flimsy kind -- it was thick, flavorful, and so good that we added extra bacon. The price was just right, the ambiance was great, and even though parking can be a challenge, the staff was super helpful in telling us where we could park. It's also not far from DCA airport and close to other great restaurants and scenery. I hate that I forgot to take pictures of our meal, but we were so hungry and the food was too good to stop! We will definitely be back for brunch, and this is officially becoming a regular brunch spot for us. Cheers to next time!

Clearly people love it as there was a wait the whole time we were there and the restaurant was packed. I loved my drink, the Taipei Punch. I would definitely order that again. I got the French Toast and it was mid at best. It just wasn't flavorful. My friend got the steak and eggs. Likewise she was underwhelmed. The presentation/plating is great, but when it came down to it, the meal was just ok. Perhaps another dish will change my mind, but I won't be rushing back to find out.

Discovered this restaurant for Alexandria's restaurant week and really glad I found it!…read more It's a smaller space but very intimate, dimly lit, and well decorated! We were immediately greeted when we walked in and our server/bartender was extremely welcoming and friendly! We chatted for a bit and really loved the quality of service he provided. It was personable and professional. We tried the wagyu burger (perfectly seasoned and cooked, juicy!) and the hot chicken sandwich (crispy chicken, delectable sauce, overall 10/10 and a MUST). The appetizers we got Brussel sprouts (very bitter, a little soggy, overall a bit disappointing) and the ribbon fries (they were basically chips, but not seasoned or salted) topped with a mayo-based sauce that was pretty good but also pretty disappointing. We didn't have room for desserts but the main dishes and drinks were good! There is a speakeasy counterpart that is right next door with incredible cocktails. Excited to try it out soon.

So originally we signed up for an Experimental Zero Proof Cocktail night with Captain Gregory's but…read moreit ended up being a Railbird event (or both places?). Makes sense, a little more room out there anyway. We haven't been on this side of the place since it was a Sugar Shack so it was nice to see the new concept. The seats are mostly at the bar was maybe 3-4 tables around the rest of the restaurant. We got a small taster when we sat down which was really good but I do not remember what it was. The zero proof menu we were there consisted of a Blueberry, Fauxgroni, and a Honey cocktail. We got the Blueberry and Fauxgroni to start. Both were made in front of us and had very cool looking details, especially the Fauxgroni's ice cube. The Blueberry was delicious and the honey foam on top was great with it. We figured since we were there we should also grab dinner which was fully available too. Not a huge menu but had snacks and sandos with a Japanese influence. We started with the Oysters Trio and Tater Tots. The oysters came in these ceramic oysters which was pretty cool and they had an amazing flavor to them. Little sweet, little sour. The tater tots were also great because they're tater tots but the sauce really changed the flavors for us. We also got two sandos, the Hot Maple and the Miso Honey. The sandwich's were a good size. So much flavor packed in each bite. The Hot Maple had a ton of bacon jam and combined with the red onion it was a salty, sweet, sour, crunchy rich sandwich. The runny egg on top was a nice touch. The Miso Honey had a strong truffle flavor but the honey sweetness came through nicely. Also very crunchy. Lastly we got two more drinks off their regular menu, the Coffee Bean and the Hibiscus. The flavors in the Coffee Bean worked so well together. I would say it was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time. The Hibiscus was pretty solid too but I only had a few sips. To end, as a part of our experience, we got these complimentary yuzu lime donuts. I guess as a call back to Sugar Shack maybe? They weren't bad, a little crispy but the flavor wasn't strong. Definitely a cool experience. I might not pay $20 for the zero proof experience itself but I would come back for their food and cocktails because I would say it was all on point.
