She notices the little things and does those extra things that build trust--and my dogs genuinely trust her. Because I'm involved in animal rescue and have helped search many times for dogs lost while in a pet sitter's care, I am probably more vigilant than most about safety. My dogs are flight risks, and my biggest nightmare would be losing one of them. They know all of my dog, Billie's quirks, both good and bad, and know exactly how to set her up for success. When we first adopted Billie she had no dog social skills. She either was too excited over dogs she likes, or would react VERY poorly to dogs she didn't like. She wasn't just leash reactive, she just didn't know social skills.
