It is a small shop with a few people working at a time and much more personal than your big box grooming salons. Prices are on the high end of average but competitive in the market. Their website isn't 100% perfect but you can call the store to get answers about FAQs that include the type of shots that are needed and if your dogs weight fits what pricing. We took our cavapoo there - she is a small dog. She is skittish, but not mean! She had a great experience and came out looking exactly as fluffy as she should with a perfect little teddy bear face and a dog grooming cut that actually made her body look proportionate and sporty! they can definitely handle large dogs because at the same time we brought her in a man was bringing in his very large, very furry Shepherd breed also for a grooming. She was $90 and it included doing her ears and her nose and trimming her bum. She came out happy and healthy and we will be using this service again. read more

My friend and I did not have an appointment but our dogs needed their nails trimmed. We walked in and they were very busy but they told us to wait while they got their expert nail trimmer, Kate to come help us. Kate is very efficient and knowledgeable. She took care of both of our dogs in a matter of minutes! I have never walked into a dog grooming establishment without an appointment and was helped at all let alone in an enthusiastic and proficient manner. I really wanted to like this place. Our dog went 3 times. The first time he developed a cough after from his neck being pulled on too hard. When I took him in for the next bath I let them know and they said they'd be more careful. After the second bath he developed a bad ear infection and the vet said water was trapped deep in the ear canal from a bath. Still I took him back for a third bath and this time his nails were cut too short and he was bleeding very badly. Will never return and do not recommend. read more

I brought my goldendoodle (Donnatella) to Dana Point Grooming and Pet Spa for the first time for a bath and haircut, and my husband and I are beyond happy with the results. Our dog is very nervous around new people, but Diana said she did very well. Most importantly, Donnatella has never looked better. We've tried several different groomers in the area, and Donnatella has always come home with her hair shaved very short and not much of a style. After her appointment with Diana, she looks like a well-styled goldendoodle. Loved coming here! It was our dogs first time at a groomer. We had just gotten back from camping so she was extra dirty. We splurged for the extra brushing (undercoat) and it was worth it!!! When I wash her at home, she stays soft for about 2 days. And I use conditioner. When they did it, she was soft for a good 3 weeks!!! We definitely plan on coming back here when we have the funds. We rescued a 2 year old husky who was at the shelter for several days. After rescuing her from the shelter and bringing her home she obviously still smelled pretty stale. Her fur was built up at the under coat. She had staining on her neck fur. She also wasn't showing her true colors. Alana took in my dog, Foxy. She was able to get the shelter smell off of her and the staining on her fur as well. She was well brushed and dry. Foxy was in a wonderful mood after her hair appointment with Alana and Diana! I will definitely bring my husky back as well as my gsd. The store was clean, active and a friendly environment. They're also in a sweet shopping Plaza with grass in front which makes it convenient for dogs and bathroom breaks before and after their appointment. Highly recommended. read more

Brought my dog here to get her groomed. My little one was looking like a grey mess so I found this place and thought I'd give it a try. The place was really cute! Loved the vibe! the dogs there did seem really happy! def different then when i bring my girl to petco or the vet. The groomer who helped me with my puppy, Chelsea, was super helpful and you could tell she really cared about dogs! I always make a special point to make sure the groomer knows that my little one has had her ear cut before by a groomer and she listened to all my concerns that her ears are super sensitive and that my puppy might be a little fussy with her ears! My little one looked amazing! she was clean and fluffy again AND the groomer was able to make my puppy match my pink hair! Def will be going back soon! So sad about this. Took my pup in last week and after I picked him up I saw little cuts in his ear from the cleaning. I called his vet and sent a photo, he told me that sometimes groomers accidentally cut the inside of the ear but to not worry and call if it gets worse. The REAL test was today, when Sam groomed my high strung male mini Schnauzer, Hobie. Previously, Hobie has been banned from three groomers because of his high anxiety towards groomers. This morning he enjoyed two doggie hemp chews, breakfast and a brisk walk in the park before heading to the groomer. I was nervous all morning, hoping that we didn't get that dreaded call to come pick Hobie up because his screeching was so loud! I am so happy I found this place. I called last minute and Anna totally went out of her way to squeeze us in. (I think she came in early actually to accommodate us!?! She didn't say that, but it's my guess) This is only our sweet puppy's third trip to the groomer so I wanted to find someone kind and gentle. Well, Anna is the epitome of those two words. So besides being so beautiful when I picked her up, Joli was happy as a clam. I'm extra pleased by the fact that Anna somehow just "knew" how I wanted her to be trimmed, because I did a very poor job at explaining. One other thing I just LOVED was the little pink ribbons she put in Joli's hair that she hand made. We've been to this salon a couple times before and never had any complaints. However I took my dog for a haircut this week and was very disappointed and shocked by the results. Diana insisted my dog needed a complete shave before even touching him which I sadly accepted since they made it seem like it was a must. As a rambunctious goldendoodle my dog normally gets some matted tangles which we try to brush but of course we bring our dog in for trims every two months or so. Then they suggested we could wait a month or two until after the holidays if we wanted him to be fluffy which was a bit confusing since they made it seem urgent at first, but I told them to go ahead and shave him. When my dog came back, he was a different dog. He would not walk and could barely eat or drink for three days. When I called diana to ask about some cuts on his ear and around his face, she was extremely rude and unprofessional and told me my dog was neglected. I found this very disrespectful because it is so far from the truth. She also claimed I was simply upset with how my dog looked and should've waited until after the holidays, completely contradicting what she told me when I first brought him in. Along with the cuts on his face, my dog also experienced severe razor burn on his butt from being shaved so close and could not walk because of it. read more
