All my friends and I love this place. First place I go to eat when I get back from college. Defiantly hands down best Cali burrito around. Salsa is amazing and they are known for their tortilla soup. Jorge's is a wonderful, and popular little lunch spot. Their chicken soup is excellent, and alone makes the restaurant worth a visit. It's also a magical cure for colds and similar illness. I usually order the chimichanga, which is also great. The people who work here are very hospitable. Jorge is the friendliest guy, and will probably remember you if you come in often (which, believe me, you'll want to). The service is fast (even when it's crowded), making it ideal for a quick lunch, and the prices are good. Jorge's Texcoco soup is excellent, everything else is okay. I stopped going to Jorge's because the wait is excruciatingly long! Over a half hour for a bowl of soup? Really? It's not worth the wait. I thought I would try calling to place an order but no one ever, ever answers the phone. So I go to El Nopalito off Santa Fe now. Really good and fast too. read more

As everyone mentions, soup was delicious. Service however was very poor. I walked in and it was empty, the man at the counter (which I was standing right in front of) did not even acknowledge me.. in fact a few mins passed, then he took a phone order, then looked up at me with a smile to take my order (wtf?).. I almost walked out I was so annoyed. I left for about 10-15 mins to run an errand, when I came back to pick up my order the line was out the door... I walked up to the side window to see if my order was ready, was yet again just ignored and he kept just helping other people.. after a few mins my toddler was losing his patience, as was I.. I ended up having to wait in the very long line of new orders to just pick up my to go order. I should not have to wait an additional 20 minutes in a super long line to pick up my food! Very nice service, but that doesn't make up for the food. the famous soup was just ok - I would eat it again, but i definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. The rest of the food was marginal. The guacamole was not very good. I'll try one more time, but my expectations are not very high. There are several places nearby with better food. read more

They absolutely have the best chicken tortilla soup in town! I always get this when I go here or when I am feeling a little under the weather. One time I did get a burrito and I will say I was a little underwhelmed considering how good their soup is. They are always friendly but it can take a long time to get your food sometimes. read more

These guys have gone down hill since I started going here. Their soup has on several occasions had uncooked rice in it. They mess up the orders. They offer phone orders, but the line is always busy or the phone is out. Yet, if you have to walk in and order food, the friggin wait is horrendous. This business needs to spend some money on the important things to make their customer experience better. If they keep it up, they will eventually be beaten by better competition. Don't get me wrong-- the food is good when cooked right and orders are completed correctly. Weighing whether all the hassle is worth it anymore. Maybe it's time to find another Mexican go-to. read more

I was afraid the chicken soup was over hyped, but it is as good as everybody says. I also got a chicken Mole taco and thought the mole tasted odd, but it could be me because I hardly ever eat it. I also had a bean tostada and it was just average. I am really particular about frijoles because I make my own at home and like them fresh. The beans at Jorge's were kind of bland generic tasting. They also use a lot of yellow cheddar cheese on their food, I would prefer the dry crumbly white cotija cheese instead. I will definitely be going back for the soup and maybe try some other items to see if there is anything else worthwhile. read more

I went back to Jorge's after having 2 very bad experiences 5 months ago. I tried the California Burrito and Rolled Tacos. Surprise!! The burrito meat was cold as were the potatos!!! I can usually finish a burrito no matter how good or bad they are, but this just didn't seem safe to eat. Strike 3, you're out! read more
