Soooo, my wife and son went over to Jo's A Bank in Clifton NJ Route 3 on 6-10-2025 @ 6:00pm to buy a dress shirt and pants, only to be disappointed, due to poor customer service. The lady employee was dismissive and not interested in accommodating my wife's needs in finding the appropriate attire for my son. She then assigned another young male employee to assist my wife who also showed no interest in helping. My wife then exited the store and drove over to Men's Warehouse in Totowa where they greeted her with a smile, showed respect, transparency, gratitude, and professionalism. I went to get some slacks and shirts 3/11/2025 6:11 PM. Going in there I had on a Jos A. Banks travel pants and shirt. I asked the lady could you show me something similar to what I was wearing she "directed" me to the section. If there was no one else in the store I felt it would have been good customer service to have shown me a few options. She did the same thing with the shirts, now I have to sift through the shirts. I'm using the Springfield store as reference, they are much more helpful. I ended up buying 3 shirts I'm bringing one back. I am not a frequent shopper but when I do shop I like pleasant experiences. Hugo Boss in Short Hills mall treats you like a valued customer no matter if you buy a pair of socks or a Tuxedo!!!! You don't have to be all over a customer, but a little attention is good, learn how to read the room. I'm not going back, at 51 years old, one time is enough to turn me off forever read more

Q quality merchandise. I am very picky and would rather buy a few good pieces that are clause are full of Men's Wearhouse garbage I bought a custom-made Egyptian cotton dress shirt and a very pleased with the results. I bought three more and will be back for more. read more

Just had the displeasure of visiting the Jos. A Bank in Clifton NJ where Abid's customer service went below and beneath. The one star they merited in this review is based on the fact that you can't give zero stars. Haven't been here in years, and at that time, although they are known for discount suits, they still understood customer experience and had a great tailor Boulos Boulos (yes, you read that correctly). Apparently Boulos, and any notion of client experience, have since exited the premises. I already had one suit in hand (meaning at least one suit and a tailor job sold), I was asking Abid questions as I looked at their higher priced suits, and he literally walked away from me in mid-sentence to straighten out a rack on the other side of the store. I put the first suit back and bid him a good day. He never introduced himself, I had to ask his name, and he never asked mine. I should actually thank Abid because he successfully prevented me from wasting my money there. read more

I have gotten several suits here and they are always look great. The service is also great as well and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Not to mention the prices are reasonable. My cousin got the suits for her wedding for the groom and groomsmen here and they came out fantastic. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a new suit! read more

I regret having to post a low rating. The look and style here is wonderful, the service tends to be good, and I have clothing that I've bought from this place that has stood the test of time. But of more recent clothes purchased here, and without weight gain, I've had at least two purchases of clothes from here rip like paper. Look, I'm a guy. If I'm going to spend more on clothes, a big part of that is quality, not just fashion. And quite frankly, if cheaper brands are going to outlast this one at half the price or less, well, what am I investing in? Disappointing, because I really do like some of the look/styles of a lot of what they offer. By far some of the worst customer service I've received in a retail store. Employees had no other customers upon entry and never uttered a hello. The gentleman, and I use that term loosely, that appeared to be the manager made eye contact as we walked past him and never spoke. We were in the store maybe 20 minutes and it wasn't until we approached the counter to check out and someone asked were we ready to check out. I came back a few days later and wasn't greeted again by an older woman who seemed frustrated and annoyed at all the customers who came in. She was rude and unpleasant. I wouldn't come here if everything in the store was free. The entire staff should consider careers that aren't customer facing. read more

I went here solely based on my curiosity over the "buy 1 suit, get 3 free" ads I've been seeing over the years. Normally, I'm a Men's Wearhouse kind of guy, but even the best they do is buy 1, get 1 free. I went in to this location around 8:30 on a Wednesday night and asked how the deal works. The suits range in price from $895 to $2195 so when they run the "buy 1 get 3 free" special, the three you get for free are the cheapest of the four. I picked out four suits I liked, tried them on and got fitted, paid, and was out the door before closing at 9:00. Granted, I was the only customer in the store, but the customer service was friendly, helpful, and expedient. Where this place bangs you up is on the tailoring. On top of the four suits, I paid an additional $110 just in tailoring. The breakdown is as follows: -The hemming for each pair of pants is $12 (x4 = $48) -The silicon creasing down the pant leg is $10 for each pair of paints (x4 = 40) -The waist adjustment on each pair of pants was $11 (x2 = 22) (In fairness, I had just come from eating dinner at Zinburger across the street, so perhaps my pants wouldn't have felt so tight had I gone before.) If you can find someone to do the tailoring for cheaper, it might be worthwhile, particularly considering they told me my suits wouldn't be available until 2 weeks after the date of purchase. This is because my sales rep told me they'd be "sending off" my suits, even though they have signs in the store saying they tailor on site. A bit misleading, but it isn't like I'm in any hurry. In the meantime, I'll just keep loving the way I look in my suits from Men's Wearhouse. read more

I can't seem to get any help from this location so here I am telling and showing everyone the mess that came from this location with 10 days to my wedding and NOTHING that can be done. I'll spare the initial visit as it's the least of my gripe (but my fiancé was led down the wrong path and ended up with a nightmare of a suit.) After we asked to have the back pattern of the vest changed because the pattern wasn't the most flattering, I was told that it would be a "solid blue but not navy" which the suit was supposed to be, this was said in a "in case you didn't realize" manor which I found rude since I let that slide because we had no time to fight it. I get the suit in and the back is BLACK with a pattern (see first image.) Not just this, it's ripped at the collar (see second image.) My fiancé luckily was in the area (we live in MD but went to that branch as most of the groomsmen are from this area) and she told him that she wasn't sure what I was talking about because it's navy. Had the suit been checked before it was shipped they would have seen that it was the wrong pattern than what we were told AND it was ripped. So ladies if you want your suit done how you'd like it go in, otherwise you may end up with a clown suit that needs to be fixed elsewhere. read more

Avoid this store if you can. I came here for a tux fitting with three other guys. We were greeted with a melancholy "what do you want?" Having never been to this location I thought the gentleman was joking. Turns out he wasn't. Typical know-it-all DB whose demeanor tries to belittle customers. Went here to get a tux as a groomsman for my friend's wedding and as I was getting fitted the store associate immediately stated that they can't do anything about how well the tux fits and that if when I receive the tux and it's too big all they can adjust is the length of the pants and the size of the dress shirt. When I received the tux two days before the event the pants were obnoxiously too baggy along with the dress shirt. When I asked the store associate if I can get a smaller dress shirt (a different person than when I got fitted) they said "I mean it's a rental, it's gonna look big". I am not one to post reviews because I have spend 15 years in Retail, and understand that people can have an "off-day". But the experience I had at this specific location being a first time customer makes me not want to ever step foot into any location again. Whether or not you work on commission or not there is no reason to treat customers with attitude and not inform them with anything throughout the experience. The lady who helped us handed us off as soon as it was something not in her interest. and then the gentleman was great and kindly redirected us to the same lady as she was the one who actually needed to help us. The experience with the gentleman was pleasant and just a handoff, however, the female employee there reeked of a smell of smoke and not presentable at all, gave us attitude the whole time, and disrespecting our questions and lack of how the "system" works at their location. Then she handed us off to the gentleman again to tender the transaction, and as the kind man was assisting us and splitting the transaction she came over at least 3 times telling him to hurry, finish, and get out of there. This experience has not created a promotor for shopping there and definitely would not recommend this location. You need to speak to your leaders and higher presentable employees that know how to communicate and help people. read more

Dishonest, inconsiderate, incompetent. I took a peacoat to the store to be tailored. They took measurements for the alterations and promised to have it done in 3 weeks. On the appointed day, I arrived at the store to pick up the coat and was informed that they had been unable to perform the alteration. When I inquired as to the reason, the attendant gave me a long-winded explanation that basically boiled down to this: the job would have taken longer than they anticipated and they would have lost money on the job. Therefore, they decided to renege on their agreement to perform the alteration. Despite the fact that they had agreed to do the job for a certain price, and I had paid them that price, they would not do the job. They were dishonest, and/or plainly incompetent. What is more, they never called during the three weeks that they had my coat to say that they would not be able to do the job. So, I waited for three weeks for no reason. Incredibly inconsiderate. I took my coat back and took it to a tailor in Harrison (PATH cleaners if anyone is looking for a competent tailor), who performed the alterations in four days. So, I know the job was in fact possible. I have shopped at Jos. A. Bank before and had clothes altered there, and this was just a real disappointment. I will not be returning to this store, and will not likely return to any Jos. A. Bank. read more

I had four jackets that went for alterations. They could only do two and one of the two had to be sent back to the alterations facility. They didn't even call to let me know my items were available for pickup. I've been trying to get these jackets done for over 3 months now. Regarding a recent purchase I made at the store in Clifton, NJ. I just want to inform you how TERRIBLE the process and experience was. I first purchased 3 suits on January 28th for around $1200. The first two suits were fine but the third one was terrible. First, the suit had to be ordered to my size, which i understand. Then when i show up 2 and half weeks later when the suit is suppose to be finished tailored, it disappeared and there was no suit. Considering it was over 4 weeks after it arrived at the store. I spent 45 minutes waiting for a member to help me then choosing a different suit (not the same I originally wanted). When I go to pick it up a day after i was told I'm told its in another store, come back at night. I do not have all day to hang out at Jos a Bank. When I do receive my third suit, TWO AND A HALF MONTHS LATER from the original purchase, I am given a free $35 tie (yay!). This will be the last time I ever come back after spending few thousands over the years. Spend a little more and go to Nordstroms. read more
