Went in several times to get fitted and they still got my suit sown wrong twice. Second time they received my order was day before my wedding, so my look was ruined for my wedding. I have never had a worse experience with a business. I would NEVER come here again. My boyfriend ordered a custom suit for a wedding to this location. When it came in he needed additional tailoring, and we were told it would be done by a certain date (we were moving out of town so needed it to be done and we were reassured it would be done). 3 days pass and we still did not receive a call that it was done. We called them and they told us the suit was not ready because "the needle broke" and so they were unable to finish the job. First of all, please come up with a better excuse next time, how do you not have extra needles at a place that does custom tailoring?? We were upset because we were told it would not be ready by the time we were moving. Luckily for them, we were supposed to come back into town the next week so we said we could pick it up then. The next week, we received a call that the suit was done, so we went by the store the next day to pick it up. When we went into the store, we were told they could not find the suit. When they finally found it, they told us it was not ready, even though they were the ones who called US to let us know it was ready. Then they said it would be ready by the end of the weekend. When we came to pick it up (now for the THIRD time), they couldn't locate the suit for over 20 minutes. We were told we would just get a refund because they couldn't find it. They also said that they lose suits often. How do you lose a suit?? Keep in mind it is a week away from the wedding and now we're told we don't have a suit at all. Somehow they finally found it because it was stored in the wrong alphabetical order. This entire experience we were never reassured that we would get the suit in time or that they would somehow make it right. The staff was extremely aloof and acted like it was our problem if they couldn't find the suit and all they could do was give our money back. This entire experience was an emotional roller coaster due to the stress of thinking you wouldn't have a suit for a wedding coming up in a week. I'm in disbelief by how bad this experience has been considering this is a reputable business. I would advise to not come to this location. read more

I took my son here to rent a suit for his best friend's wedding. My son is a big and tall guy, 6'5". We struck out at men's warehouse so we tried Jo's A. Bank and they treated us so well! The store associate had no doubt that the suit would fit, and it did! The service was excellent and in the future, my son will always choose his suits from here. read more

It's a good place. Men's clothing stores aren't what they used to be, meaning used to go and there were people in their address to the nines and they walk you through. Everything you know have make you feel a silk tie and hand-woven ties and make you feel a real cotton shirt. Make you see the gabardine wool trousers. It's a little different today I think is that way it needs store. You go in you. You are welcomed in but the people working there. Of course they were not again dressed to the nines They didn't have on the apparel that the store sells. Very kind, welcoming verbally but it's just different. I understand. Probably in a few years that everything's going to be ordered online but it was just a different feeling. It didn't have the smell that it had when you walked in before in a men's clothing store where you just it put you at ease. It almost dropped your senses and made you spend more than what you would. I'm sorry that you had in mind but I went kicking tires. Found a pair of wool trousers. Bottom came right out before they put them in. Something nice for you and then put them in the bag and it was just a way better feeling then. And of course we spent less but it was just way better feeling. So I give the store three star simply because the two ladies there they did welcome me verbally. They were not dressed like the store wants you to be by no means not saying they were dressed suggestively at any kind of way. They just were not dressed to the nines like it was most high-end men clothing stores. They were female they had on flip-flops toes out. Not even you know casual business attire but again they they were welcoming. They were nice and I wouldn't blame them. It's the store policy. There are better clothing stores to go to that. You will get a better price. There are stores that you can go to that. You will get that feeling again here in Columbus. I was just in the area. Went to look on the clearance rack while I was waiting on a friend actually purchase something but I don't think I would just go in to just shop like days of old. Not that store. Rented through here for a wedding. Shoes were badly scuffed, pants had cigarette burns and would nearly fall down even when adjusted. (No belt loops) They did not have any suspenders available or alternate pants available. The groom's mom was able to rig my pants with some safety pins so they would stay up. The fitting was bad, but we made it work because I wasn't getting in until the night before the wedding. When returning the tux, I left my garment bag at the church by accident, so another groomsmen returned it for me. The woman working immediately rolled her eyes because of my mistake and in a sassy tone said that it was a little hard to put it on her truck that way. (Kind of like the cigarette-burned pants were hard to keep up yesterday...) Mind you, I came in immediately apologetic because I didn't have the garment bag. She scanned them in while she talked on the phone and handed me a receipt without saying anything else before waving me away after I realized we were done. NOT worth the $200+ you're going to pay to rent. Future grooms... just find a place to buy your suits rather than rent. Same price range and they at least get to keep their suits when it's over. read more

It was okay. We went to set up an account for the groomsmen for our wedding and the guy helping us was average. He wasn't so friendly and seemed a little distant. We later went to Men's Wearhouse and the guy who helped us there was very nice and seemed interested to help us out. Not only that, but he went out of his way to really tell us about the styles and tips and tricks - much more thorough. In regards to tux selection, it seemed the same at Men's Wearhouse, which was not a huge amount of rental choices, so it is what it is. We wanted a peaked lapel with a satin finish (I'm really not sure what the terminology is, but hopefully that's right lol), however, they only had notched satin or a grain peaked lapel. I do wish there was a bigger selection though. read more

Maybe it's me but I would think on black Friday you should maybe have more then 4 people working. I went in to buy a suit cause they were having full suit sales for $129 from $500. Awesome deal! But sucky ass service. We were there for 40 minutes. Finally got a hold of someone bout 15 minutes after being there, he said he'd be right there. Yeah right. Like I said 4 employees there all worked the register at some point in time. If you're going to be offering sales and it's Black Friday get more people to help out. Took two shirts in to have them fitted. The young lady whom I spoke to on the phone, Kiersten (sp?) was super friendly and helpful. However when I got to the store the associate who helped me, Matt, seemed less than pleased to help. I asked to have the sides taken in and the width if the sleeves taken in as i was practically swimming in a shirt that had supposedly already been fitted. He seemed very annoyed and told me the seamstress could do anything with the sleeves and that he couldn't help me. He seemed really annoyed the whole time and wouldn't even shake my hand. I think once I get my shirts back I'll take them somewhere else to get what I need done. read more

Was hoping to give a higher review. Got a great suit and great shoes but the shirts (2) I got, they they recommended & altered for me, but were a terrible fit. They Refused to take them back. Even though they say you can get a store credit for anything your unhappy with. Seems foolish for them to not take back $65.00 worth of shirts. They lost a customer for life and will never recommend them. In fact, will tell you, don't shop there. They sell high quality clothes that last for years without fading, running or falling apart like some of the kohls and eddie bauer stuff I've gotten. And Jason? Fantastic experience. Went in looking for a new suit for interviews and weddings, but ended up buying two! The suits themselves were of good quality, but this review is more focused on the excellent customer service. Dave was very knowledgeable, sincere, and extremely helpful when it came to finding a new suit. I have always had trouble with rented suits due to them never fitting my shoulders or waist (6'3" with an athletic build); either the shoulders are too small or the waist is too large. Dave knew exactly how to work around my build and I am beyond grateful for his advice on shoes. I would recommend anyone looking for a new suit to go to Jos. A Bank and ask for Dave. read more

We literally have had the worst experience with Jos A Bank, this store was the start. My brother was originally refused a fitting 2 days before he left for work in another country. They then gave us an extremely complicated step by step process to have my brother re-added to the wedding party. When we called they had no information about our wedding party, however one person at the store mentioned it did have people in the party..... (Extremely confusing) Ultimately we spent about 4 hours trying to resolve everything... With no resolution. We had to go with another company and lost our deposit, my brother was not able to get fitted for our wedding. read more

Jos A Banks was a nightmare. It was 2 days before my wedding and they mismatched my suit. They somehow ordered dark grey pants when we needed light grey. So with the 8 suits ordered, they had to expedite the pants. Most of the suits were too short! Then, one of the dress shirts was wrong and they tried to make a groomsman pay for it to be expedited the day of the wedding. They also charged the wedding party different amounts and they got pissy when we complained. Even though they finally got it right, this place is terrible. They should never put the stress on the wedding party, especially the bride, like they did us. We will never go back!! read more

I fell for the old buy 1 get 1 for $100 special here about a year ago, and I will never go back. The salesman promised free alterations for life if I ever wanted to change the fit, and I called recently asking about that and suddenly the same exact salesman said they had no free alterations. This is unfortunate as the suits are embarrassingly ill-fitting, with the bottom of the jackets billowing out even on slim-fit suits. The quality is incredibly shoddy, as within a few months having worn one of the suits for only the second time, thread was beginning to rip out from the shoulders. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for the old marketing ploys of whatever special of the day jos a bank is running. Whether it is buy 1 get 1 for $100 or their comical buy 1 get 7 free 'won't last long' special, you're sure to overpay for an ill-fitting suit of terrible quality. read more
