I've been a long time customer with White House Black Market. Love to shop the stores. I've been…read moreall over the states and various locations. This is the third time I have been into this location. Twice by myself and once with my husband. The first time I was by myself, I was treated different. Couldn't put my finger on it until the next time when my husband came with me to this location. We were followed around like common thieves, bothered repeatedly. I had items placed in the fitting room by staff, tried on, purchased and left. Very unwelcoming location. The third time, while I was within the vicinity, I brought with me a pair of jeans in which I had purchased at the Naperville Illinois location a few days prior. The metal "Whitehouse Black Market" tag had popped off the back pocket of the jeans. On June 23, 2025 while I was in the area I needed exchange these jeans without an attitude from Terri. She refused to call Naperville, claimed the jeans were clearance-which they were not, refused to listen to me, argumentative, rude, wasting my time. I called Naperville, was given the clothing item number, provided that to Terri however she still couldn't or wouldn't find online or order so I had Naperville hold the same pair of jeans because Terri wouldn't call and do her job, claims that these jeans are clearance-they are not, they are brand new, this store just did not know the the Whitehouse black market clothing that is brand new or not updated-whatever, not my problem. She claimed that no stores carried these. manager, Jenny came to assist and had to tell Terri to go in the back as she kept running her mouth and continuing to be disrespectful. The best part-lol is when she walked past me and put her middle finger on her face a flipped me off. How old are you woman that you are so caddy, disrespectful and think this veteran military cop is not going to call corporate and say something. Did the district manager ever call me to apologize-no. So here's the review that I promised would happen. Oh as to following a person around the store and attempting to demean our net worth wrong people folks to do that to. Might want to check some fact history on who we are and what we have. Regardless no one should ever be treated like this and at least I can say when I have traveled out of state and to various locations. I have never ever nor anyone I bring into store has ever been treated like this. Because of this I will no longer do business as a top tier purchaser with this store or any of their locations. The standard of work between the Aurora and Orland stores is pathetic. The groomsmen who got their suits just knew a tie was present, they had no idea it was the wrong colored tie. We didn't figure out they were wrong until the groomsmen were getting ready and my husband asked one of the guys if he brought his own tie... They clearly didn't care enough to check the suits thoroughly which they are literally paid to do.... Prior to the wrong colored ties we were already upset we had to make a second trip the day before our wedding to pick up our suit orders that needed to be fixed due to pants with holes in the pocket, stains on multiple white shirts (including the grooms) and one order sent without the vest... So multiple people in the party had make extra trips to the stores the two days before our wedding because nothing was right the first time. All they offered in return for their HUGE mistake was half the money back for the two suits they mismatched the ties.... And the lady saying "she wanted to cry for me". At this point we should have all our money back for the lack of attention and effort put into their business when this is such an important day for their paying customers. Moral of the story this business did not make our wedding day any less stressful than it already was and if anything gave us more problems and stress. Also, looking at this picture literally breaks my heart considering all of the time, effort and money that was put in this day ruined by their carelessness. Update: now they are using our photo I provided in this review as their main picture. Such a disrespect to a customer they completely let down. This is the type of business they are running. When I called to express my concern, I was told they "inspected every layer" and it wasn't like that when it was in their possession. However, some of the blood is on the back side of lace appliques, and the layer of fabric between my body and the appliqué is not bloody, which leads me to believe it was stained during the making of it. Instead of apologizing, offering to pay for dry cleaning, etc., I was instantly blamed for something that I did not do. Moreover, I had an issue of ordering a lined gown and paying for a lined gown, but receiving an unlined gown. The store so graciously refunded the difference between unlined and lined versions, but the refunded amount doesn't cover alterations to make it lined. I loved the entire process of buying a gown from here, but am horribly dissatisfied and disappointed with their professionalism and overall attitude.
