Wow wow wow. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. It's absurd that Jos a. Banks as a company has not addressed this after reading the other reviews from this location. I walked in to get a tux tailored, was not addressed. Finally, I said I needed it tailored after not being helped and Francis was beyond hostile and rude. Never experienced hostility like this from anyone, ever. He spoke to me with AirPods in his ear, barely looking up from his phone WHILE SPEAKING to me. I walked out of the dressing room and he didn't even look at the tux- Disgusting experience and ridiculous that after reading all the reviews that Jos A Banks seems to be okay with this. read more

We ordered 12 complete men's suits from there for my friends wedding and every single item in every single set were sent wrong. From pants to jacket to even shoes. they couldn't mess up that big, even if they tried doing it on purpose. I don't know how they did that. Also, they charged about $270 to rent a set that didn't even worth $150 if I bought them from Macy's. Low quality, terrible service, and expensive price. I would never shop there again. read more

I went to the store at the Avenues in East Cobb today to buy a shirt for my son. The store manager (Francis) had the worst attitude I've ever experienced at any store. He measured my sons neck and showed us where the shirts his size were. There were only three shirts on the rack my sons size. I asked him if there were any more options. He quickly and rudely said "That's all we have". I then told him that I'd like for my son to try the shirt on to make sure it fit. I've bought many shirts from this store and have always tried on open shirts they keep in the back before I buy it. Francis responded with another quick "No we don't open shirts for customers to try them on". I reminded him of the open shirts they keep in the back and he miraculously found one my son's size so that he could try it on. Francis does not need to interact with customers. Please don't respond to this message with a canned answer. I'm not taking anymore of my time to email you anymore details. There are multiple complaints about the store manager of this store and nothing has been done about him. A solution to your problem would be to make Kevin the store manager at this location. Last time I came to this store, Kevin helped me. Kevin is super nice, patient and always willing to help and showed me all my options. I don't know why Kevin is not the Store manager at this location. I'm sure your sales would duplicate if Kevin was the store manager. read more

I took my teenage son to get fitted for his first nice suit. My husband has several Jos A Bank business suits and sports coats and we were expecting a top notch experience. I've never experienced such rude customer service in recent memory. No one greeted us when we arrived. No one offered to help us. No one said "I'll be right with you." We browsed around the store a bit getting ideas for what he might like but he needed to be measured before we could do any serious shopping. We were there for 45 minutes and I had to (nicely and politely) ask multiple times for assistance before anyone even acknowledged us. And even then - they helped other customers who came in after us while still not helping or even making eye contact with us. I would have just walked out but my son had his heart set on a Jos A Bank suit. I ended up calling my husband to come help us out in the process (I needed reinforcements!) and he ended up helping my son choose a suit and tie and shirt. Jos A Bank should not be a DIY experience! My husband ended up buying a suit for my son (we opted to do the alterations elsewhere - by this time we had collectively been there for almost 2 hours and had our fill of being virtually ignored the entire time) but it kind of pained me to do it. Were they rude to me because I'm a woman? Because I was shopping with a teenager? Because I was wearing a sweater and jeans and was not dressed up? Because I don't necessarily look like I have money? Because of the color of my skin? Hard to say but I won't be shopping there again. read more

I have been in the East Cobb location with my sons on 2 separate occasions in the past 9 months. We were not greeted by an associate when we walked in the door either time, nor did an associate ask us of we needed assistance. When I asked an associate to measure my son for a suit jacket, he seemed annoyed. The store was not busy either time we were there. There were 2 other customers at most during part of the time we were there. I am a middle-aged woman who has owned a home in East Cobb for over 17 years (i.e, I pay a lot in property taxes to live in E.C.) and who does not dress to the nines to go shopping for ANYTHING. A shop needs to earn my business, not vice versa. It's Joseph A Banks for Pete's sake, not Gucci or Burberry. In addition, put the real price on the price tags, not some b.s. price that is "discounted" at the register to make you think you are getting a deal. read more

I had a terrible experience at the East Cobb Jos. A. Bank. This location lacks baseline service and I was treated as if I did not exist. I would avoid this location and instead, head for the Jos. A. Bank in Alpharetta. Based on other negative reviews they've collected over the years, it seems like the East Cobb location has very little interest in changing their ways. When I entered the store, none of the three to four attendants responded to my greeting and blankly stared. When I asked the attendant behind the counter to have my suits tailored, he would not respond. I asked a second time. No response. I then asked if he heard and understood what I had said and I received a "yes" with another blank stare. I asked if he was actually going to help me, the attendant slowly moved in silence to check my suits. I'm not sure if there was a gas leak in this store, but the lack of service was astonishing. Perhaps this location has a preferred clientele and treats all others terribly to discourage them from returning. Perhaps those who work at the East Cobb Jos. A. Bank simply lack basic human decency. Perhaps there really was a gas leak for which I hope everyone there is okay. I think I will go with 'gas leak'. I swiftly left this location... and went to the Jos. A. Bank in Alpharetta where I was treated well and had my suits tailored. I would avoid the East Cobb location. read more

This was the most miserable experience having to deal with Jos. A Banks. The manager may be the smuggest human being on earth. 5 of the 8 guys had either buttons missing or wrong sizes. Im not sure how it's possible to be fitted for a vest that's 2 sizes to big and a shirt a size too small. This store had horrible service, I went in and not even a hello, they got irritated when I asked a cuestión, a couple came in and they gave them top notch service, for the first time I felt judged, because they served the other couple because they looked rich lol but they never moved from the clearance rack lol so I left and not even a word, left there and got 3 suites and Micheals Clothing the services was great, about a thousand for 3 Italian suites amazing quality, goes with my Maserati, the service and prices and they don't care if your not white.. Font go to this Jos you will be treated like crap if your not white and worst part is that no one here is white or American! Horrible and this is my 1st bad review I have never ever gave a bad review but this was the worst and a very horrible experience, you should send mystery shoppers to this store to better your sales, that's probably why this place was empty on the holidays.. trust everything I have said is true! My son and I walked in to the store pretty clueless how to size and shop for a men's sports coat. We were greeted by Francis, the store manager, and he helped guide us immediately. He measured my son, walked over to the racket of coats and the first one he selected was perfect. My son was thrilled and Francis helped explain the his reasoning behind selecting this particular sports coat. Francis then asked if we needed anything else and I said that I thought we had that covered, but Francis showed us some clearance items that were too good to pass up. We ended up with a couple pairs of slacks and a couple shirts that were marked down to prices that were cheaper than if we went to Target. Francis made sure the pant hemming could be completed in 2 days to accommodate the quick turn we needed for my son's event. I was hesitant to go into JoS A Bank, thinking it was out of our price range, but it was the smartest thing we could have done. Francis never pressured us to purchase anything. He was truly excellent at his job and made the experience a pleasure, while remaining conscience of our budget. I feel like we got clothes of superior quality, with remarkable customer service, for a very good price. I am sorry people previously had poor experiences here, but this was definitely not the case for us! Give them a chance and you will not be disappointed! While we were at the store, I saw Francis also guide another customer to the proper size suit. The customer would have special ordered a size that would not have worked upon arrival. read more

Not sure about some of those old posts, but my experience at this store are great. Maybe some new guys? Went in to buy a new suit b/c an older suit had some bubbling in the jackets. Guys said before I get a new suit, to bring in the jacket. I did and the tailor fixed it for free and said to find a new dry cleaner as they are using excessive steam. While the tailor was assessing the jacket, I looked around a bit and found a great sport coat. They gave me a discount on that too. Earned my future biz! read more

So I walk into the store and the first thing the sales clerk says to me is " we've got some clearance ties over on the two tables there". I respond "rather than point me to your least expensive items how about help me find a particular tie to go with my chocolate double breasted suit"? Don't assume by looking at me that I only can afford to shop off of your clearance rack. Perhaps my response will resonate with this sales clerk and he'll stop judging books by covers. read more

Horrible Service. I live in Boston, but am from the east cobb area. I went there over the holidays to buy a suit for my holiday party. The holiday party was 3 weeks away, so they told me it could be shipped to Boston within two weeks, giving me a week to spare if there was any issue. 2 weeks went by and no suit. 4 days before my party and no suit. Now my party is tomorrow and still no suit. Every time I call they seem bothered to help me and have given me weak excuses (it wasn't even shipped till 4 days after it was supposed to already arrive here). It's supposed to get here tomorrow, only giving me about an hour between work and the party to get any wrinkles caused by the packing out. I was hoping to have this week to get any altercations done to it up here, if it didn't quite fit right, but now Im stuck with having to go with whatever shows up. And Hopefully it actually shows up.... In case any of you that read this review and still decide to go there, Steve M. was the guy who was supposed to be helping me. Ask for someone else if you get him, he wasn't even that helpful when I was just trying on suits. read more

The staff at this store was great. They were very knowledgeable but more importantly they let us shop in peace and were available when needed. One of the sales consultants, Ernie, was exceptionally helpful. He assisted us in the store and just as importantly helped me out a few days later after leaving town. He assisted me with an over the phone order and was extremely helpful with family who visited the store a few days later. read more

Sorry, one walked by me and said excuse me. This is the second time this has happened at this location. I agree with the other posters about the customer service at the store being horrible. When I did finally purchase a suit, it took them multiple times just to get it tailored correctly. And that is just on the pant length. Fortunately, The jacket did not need any adjustments or it would still probably be there. I would not recommend this store. read more

My dad and I visited this location three times, trying to get someone to help us get my dad fitted for a tuxedo. The staff couldn't have been more rude, unprofessional or unhelpful. They left my dad in the dressing room when it became apparent he was there browsing, rather than buying. Additionally, they brought him the wrong sizes and said that was the best they could do. You'd think for the prices they charge for their clothing you could get some service. Apparently not. read more

My son was in a wedding a couple of months ago and suits were chosen and fitted @ this JosA Bank location (Roswell Rd Marietta). The jacket they put on him fit perfectly but when it was shipped to him, it fit like a sack. He thought they must have been scamming him, and went online to find a highly recommended tailor.He paid $138 to have the suit altered for the wedding. I called the manager Steven to complain, telling him my husband had bought many suits and sport coats from them and never needed alterations. He said we were "lucky". I asked for a small portion of the alteration to be reimbursed. He took my calls for five days saying he would call back to not do so. Why would they fit someone with a perfect fit jacket to end up sending them something so different. They refused to reimburse even a small amount of the alterations, saying we could return the suit, then he would still be out the $138 he spent to get the suit to finally fit. read more
