I got a great haircut, just the way I like it, from Aaron, who is very personable, as well as professional. He definitely knows what he's doing, and wants to be sure that I'm happy with the job he did. I also met Gus, four-legged employee who came bouncing over to greet me personally. Gus loves belly rubs and ear scritches, and loved meeting a new friend. The shop is small, 6 real barber chairs, but it's just a nice place to relax. These two brothers are great barbers. They take their time, know their stuff and create a great cut. ANY kind of cut you need they can do it. If you're going expect a great cut, but do not expect a 10 minute cut. This is NOT Supercuts, or other places that train for 30 minutes in a back room and then are given a chair space. This is a legit Barber shop with skilled craftsmen. There are TVs in there which are always playing classic movies or various genres from Horror, to action flicks etc. Great conversation, teasing, talking smack, sports talk, everything is on the table. Keep in mind this is a BARBER shop so sometimes it can get a little salty in there with the talk which I appreciate. It does calm down when there's a little one in there getting their school cut with mom,. Didnt ask for the price before so I got up-charged $20 for a haircut lol. My fault, i was told if I came back id get the "house special of $40". Definitely what they charge regular customers. If you're looking for a barbershop with amazing vibes and barbers, THIS IS THE PLACE! I went with my boyfriend for his first time getting his hair cut in 6 years. His hair was under his shoulders and he had absolutely no clue what he wanted. Aaron was guiding Sabrina throughout the process and they both did absolutely amazing, they're also SO accommodating!! They know exactly what they're doing even when we came in with no plan. Not to mention they are so sweet and funny!! I was sitting across the room and they still were asking me questions and including me in their conversations. After paying my boyfriend asked which gel he should use for his hair and Aaron gave him the rest of the gel he used while styling it. Been hesitant to write a review for almost a year now. After recently buying a house in the area I wanted a local barber, that I could walk to if needed. As in pressing times, it's important to me to support small local owned businesses. I'm hesitant cause Jo's is a phenomenal shop, with two phenomenal brothers cutting hair. I've had my hair cut by both brothers. I don't want my awesome little neighborhood shop flooded with people, but I'll have to put my selfishness aside, for the review. Wait time: who cares? With a pool table and two large TVs that can be viewed anywhere in the shop while you wait, and get this, are also strategically located so you can resume your viewing pleasure as you transition from waiting, to getting cut. Rush Hour was on the last time I was there, making the wait time to cut time, almost non existent. The cutting: A comfortable, pleasurable, relaxing experience. Notice the word experience there. Upon resting your mangy buttocks in the chair, you'll be greeted with a smile and small chit chat. Both brothers are keen to notice you, noticing the tv. Engaging with you, when questions arise, or if you wanna ditch the movie and converse. The Cut: the finish product? End results? Well let's just say when I got home, the two women that were there, Fiancé and her friend, couldn't stop complementing me on how handsome I looked. Dapper is the word I would use. Conclusion: I paid $40 bucks for a haircut, and mild beard trim around my sideburns. That includes my tip as well.
