I took my shoes to this guy (Juan Jose, the owner) to have one single sandal fixed. It should've taken 5 minutes - it required a stitch to keep the buckle from sliding forward and hitting my toe. They told me it was going to be ready in 3 weeks and would cost $12.00. I came back on the 23rd. There was a woman in the lobby prior to me who was waiting for them to find her misplaced shoe, and there was another women holding shoes he had worked on, but she said the work was not done correctly. When it was my turn, they said I'd come on the wrong day, it wouldn't be ready until 3/26. I then came back on 3/27. Once again, they were desperately looking for a woman's shoe and she was very irritated. They then took my ticket and couldn't find my shoe. They kept asking what it was, what color, what were they supposed to do to it etc... I waited about 1/2 hour before the owner (Juan Jose) finally came out from behind the curtain and had me go in the back to look for it. This was a monumental task - there were hundreds of shoes just thrown on the floor, hundreds more thrown into huge platic bins you'd buy at Home Depot and one could hardly walk for the mess. It was a disaster area. I looked and looked, but immediately realized there was no way I was going to be able to dig through the mess they had. I asked him about the number, but immediately realized the numbers meant nothing - they were scattered about and not attached to the shoes . A majority of the shoes were not with mates, but they were all just jumbled together with no tags. I was very nice to Juan Jose and finally told him I would send him a picture of the mate so he would have a slightly better chance of finding it. He gave me his cell number, and I left with the promise he would look for it and find it. Although upsetting and his loss of my shoe and his obvious carelessness warranted an irate customer. I was more than polite and nice to Juan Jose. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He did find the shoe and late in the day he called me and told me he had found it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I arrived on 3/28 and he was dealing with the irate woman referenced above and looking for her shoe. He saw me and came back with my sandal. He said he could fix it if I left it, but I told him I couldn't b/c I was leaving town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He gave it to me, but got really nasty and told me I came too early to pick up my shoe and it was my fault. I told him that had no bearing on the issue, and I had come back on the 27th (a day later than the ticket said), and it was still not ready and was lost[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I wasn't going to ask for a refund, but after his nastiness, I did. He gave me my money, but said "next time he wouldn't refund my money" to which I replied "then don't lose my shoe". He told me to never come back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He was beyond rude and totally out of place. I had never even complained or said anything about his lack of organization, not fixing my shoe in a timely manner, or offering to pay me back without my having to ask for my money[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I was truly shocked and amazed at his behavior. He has no business running a shoe store or anything else. He has the curtain b/c if you saw back there, you would do an immediate turn around and leave the shop. His defensiveness is a testament to his carelessness with other's property, his inability to run a business, and his lack of remorse and civility. I only wish I had taken a picture of the mess behind the curtain. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the absolute WORST business and cobbler I have ever encountered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I brought in a Gucci tote bag for a simple handle repair. The company decided to replace BOTH straps with the WORST wuality craftsmanship, leather and stitching I have EVER seen. I could have cut and sewn a better quality strap onto the bag myself. After asking for a refund, they told me they do not know how much they charged me for the repair, because I had brought in multiple items and they don't keep track of each item cost. Left small leather purse for repair. They matched the color of the purse very well and the repair that done also kept the integrity of the purse. The owners are very polite and professional. It upsets me to have to write a negative review about a small business. I drove 30 minutes to get to this shoe repair store and left 3 pair of my husbands shoes. The gentleman who works there told me it would be 10 days. I did not get a call that they were ready so I waited a full 2 weeks and went to pick the shoes up. When i got there I was told 2 pair were ready but they had broken the buckle off the third pair. I understand accidents happen. That is not what upset me. They never called to say it was broken and that they were not ready. After driving 30 minutes to pick up the shoes, I was only able to pick up two pair. He said his boss would call me. He didn't and I had no idea what the status of the buckle was. I returned 2 weeks later only to complete disorganization. Now they couldn't find the shoes. I suggested they open every bin. Finally 30 minutes later they were found. He again said his boss would call me to discuss compensation for the misunderstanding. Never heard from him. We're lucky to have a shoe maker here in Naples. My brand new pair of mules were lopsided after I left one of the heel tips in a cobblestone somewhere along the road of my recent travels. But for seven bucks, I could walk evenly again on two new heel tips that were better than the manufacturer's. Quality of work is good but very unprofessional. Do not patronize this business if it's important to you that the store actually be open during the posted hours of business or you expect to be treated as a valued customer. I live 30 minutes away. I called the store at 2 PM on the day my shoes were to be ready for pickup. I was told they were and that the store closed at 5 PM. I left work early to make it there by 5 and actually called again at 4:40 to say I was on my way. The very rude woman who works in the front of the store told me to come some other time. When I tried to tell her I lived a half hour away and was almost there, she hung up on me and took the phone off the hook so that I could not call back. I arrived before 5 PM and the store was closed. The people in the store next door told me this was an ongoing issue for customers. They did not even open on the next business day. I tried to call the owner and got a mailbox full message. I tried to call the store again and got a message to enter a code. I was told the owner is no longer actively involved in the business and is just trying to keep it going. Also there is a sign posted in the store asking that checks be made out to an individual, not to the business, which is a corporation. I would not do business with them again. read more
