Came here for Cinco de Mayo and had a great experience. Solid Mexican food with really good margaritas. It was my first time at this location, but it's identical to the Woodbridge spot -- same atmosphere, quality, and flavors. Definitely a good choice if you're craving Mexican food and drinks.

A group of 4 met here on Monday before 6pm. . We were seated quickly, it was empty but was pretty packed by the time we left. The hostess was friendly, the server was ok. Drinks were ok. I had the margarita. Was big but not strong. Waters are served in what could only be described as a Big Gulp cup. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. Not the best but ok. The shrimp appetizer (camp town shrimp) was the best thing of the night. Was so good. With an amazing sauce and ciabatta bread soaked up all the yumminess. No photo of that.

First time here and the hostess was friendly! It's a cool family spot not so much of a happy hour location if that's the vibe you're going for. I got the spicy marg which was okay not mind blowing. I will say you pay for food and drinks and they don't skimp in terms of portions. We tried this delicious shrimp appetizer camp shrimp and it was a hit (not pictured). Service was quick and efficient. Not exactly a memorable meal in terms of flavor except for that shrimp appetizer dish with the ciabatta but otherwise cool experience.

GAUCHO CHICKEN w. Jim Bowie sauce and jambalaya rice.

Recommendation, try the GAUCHO CHICKEN, ask for the Jim Bowie sauce on side and sub the regular rice w. jambalaya rice. Phenomenal combo. Always busy on the weekends, nice family oriented restaurant. Kid friendly

I'm not sure where everything went off with this Jose tejas trip lol. My friend and I came early for dinner, place was nearly empty but we were sat right next to the servers hangout area. Wasnt exactly ideal but it was fine. Chips and salsa are always welcome in my book. They were fresh and tasty. Once we put our order in it all went downhill. One order was wrong and the other was completely forgotten about. It was fine and the staff were apologetic, it was just a weird thing especially for a quiet time for the restaurant. The food was ok, some thing unnecessarily spicy, others bland. Idk, I might be back to try another dish since my friend loves it but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Crazy salty, everything. Fajitas, quesadillas, rice and beans, tacos - salty. The 3 stars are for the margaritas and the friendly waitstaff.

One of my favorite places. Delicious food, big portions, great prices. My husband and I come around once a month and always leave raving about our experience. The Tex mex decor and music is spot on and the service is always top notch. Our favorite entrees are the chicken burro and the French quarter chicken. We also get the queso or pastelitos.

In a word MEH. The margarita is out of a dispenser. The fish tacos had no fresh anything on them except a slice of lime on the side. The beans had little flavor and the salsa was so so. When I asked for hot sauce the only thing they had was Tabasco. I'm mean really?

    CHICKEN FAJITAS

Went in on October 1st to watch the Yankee game and grab some drinks and food. The regular margaritas are pretty bad because they use roses fake lime juice. So I got the more expensive patron with real lime juice and that one was good. The food was just ok. New thing was the Jambalaya side. Anyway things were fine until we saw a huge cockroach on the wall behind the bar. I was immediately put off by this and couldn't finish my food. Then about five minutes later we saw another roach on the bar crawl onto a napkin of a man sitting next to us. Food and drinks were both fairly priced but a bargain doesn't outweigh cleanliness. Needless to say we will never be back at Jose Tejas.

We always love coming here, it's the spot we know will gives us solid food at a cheap price. The place is spacious but can and will get packed after 4pm, they will always fit you in though with a max 20 minute wait. I've lately been getting their fried chicken cajun salad and it's truly so good and filling! Their salmon tacos as well as the shrimp ones are also great and a must try. Definitely a good "go-to" spot.

At a Thai spot, I expect to see Thai people. At a Mexican spot, I expect to see Mexicans. You get the picture. So at this Haitian restaurant, there are always Haitians enjoying the food -- which tells you everything you need to know. If you're looking for an upscale yet still authentic Haitian restaurant, this is it. No matter what you order, they always start you off with a soup that's hot, rich, and flavorful. I usually begin with the Haitian caviar and smoked fish empanadas, then move on to either the Saveur Creole goat or the red snapper -- always with extra gravy, because I can't resist pouring it over their black rice (don't judge me). It's BYOB, so bring your drink of choice or grab something from the shop right next door. Another thing I love is that the owner, Robert, is usually there. He'll stop by your table, talk with you, and make the meal feel like a real experience. And if you admire the artwork on the walls -- he painted all of it himself. If you go, tell him I sent you... maybe then he'll finally sell me one.

A little less than a year ago we visited P.F. Seafood Market & Restaurant in West Caldwell and it…read morewas wonderful. Sadly, our most recent visit was very much the opposite. When we arrived (around 7pm) there was only one occupied table in the restaurant. The room was cold and drafty, as if they were trying to save money on the heating. We had to change tables twice trying to avoid the chill which was forcing my mother to keep her winter coat on. On our first visit, the breadbasket included some delicious garlic bread. That was gone this time. Previously, the staff immediately set out an ice bucket and glasses when they saw our bottle of white wine. This time we had to ask for both, twice. Throughout the meal, we watched our waiter standing in the doorway to the kitchen engrossed in whatever he was doing with his cell phone. Given that the restaurant was virtually empty, the fact that we couldn't get his attention when we started to have issues was frustrating. I chose the Calamari Chino again as an appetizer. I enjoyed it so much on our first visit that it was the one thing I knew I wanted again. Unfortunately, I ended up sending it back. Although it looked like the same dish at first glance, the crispy and tender calamari I loved the first time was now soggy and rubbery. My mother again went with the Grilled Norwegian Salmon, which she enjoyed. My father had the Paccheri & Shrimp alla Vodka, which is described on the menu as sautéed wild shrimp, over paccheri pasta with a creamy vodka sauce, oyster mushrooms, & green peas. He wasn't a fan of this. It seemed to be missing both the oyster mushrooms, & the green peas. He also described it as being "goopy" and thought it tasted artificially thickened in some way. I ordered the New Coconut Jumbo Shrimp, which is served with grilled asparagus, white rice, in an orange marmalade sauce. I had high hopes for this since coconut shrimp is a favorite of mine. The presentation was quite nice, but the shrimp was overcooked, and the coconut coating was nearly burnt. I believe it had been left in the deep fryer too long. Frankly, if I had not sent back the calamari I would have sent this back as well. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant still looks nice, but it seems like they're just going through the motions now. I don't see us returning.

My Chicken was hot and had a good coating on it which made it very crispy. It wasn't greasy, and had just the right seasonings. It was served on a french baguette with lettuce, tomato, pickles and a nice remoulade sauce I tried their Shrimp n Grits. The grits were creamy, and the shrimp had a nice spice but not too spicy. The twist was a wonderful accompaniment of Andouille sausage., which had a nice spice. This added another layer of flavor for an extra punch. The next thing I tried was the wings. There were several different kinds and boy were they good. Just the right amount of herbs and spices. The sauces was a bit messy being in a costume for the Halloween Party , but the flavors were outstanding.... The last thing I tried was The Jambalaya. The rice was moist and all the flavors came together to make a wonderful dish. Everyone was extremely happy and enjoyed all the food. I was full, or I would've tried more dishes. If you see TFQ Food Truck I would recommend giving them a try.

One of those nights my order was delayed and a couple of sides were missing, but they were extremely apologetic and even offered us a discount, which I really appreciated. Tonight, my husband and I decided to have a quick date night and finally dine in. I honestly can't remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but they were seasonal, delicious, and beautifully presented. The bread wasn't my favorite, but I'm not taking off any points for that. It's free, and honestly, I'd rather not fill up on bread before the meal anyway. For appetizers, we ordered the cast iron shrimp and the slab bacon. The shrimp was so good. My husband thought it was a little salty, but I thought it was just really well seasoned. I'd honestly go back just for that dish. The bacon was good, but it wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I personally like my food piping hot, so that's just a preference. The star of the night was the Cowboy Prime steak. It was absolutely delicious, great seasoning, a perfect sear, and full of flavor. The temperature wasn't exactly what we ordered, but it was still an incredible steak. It came with vegetables, and even as someone who isn't a big fan of veggies, I really enjoyed them!! For sides, we had the hand-cut fries and a side of the corn risotto. If we had one complaint about the meal, it would be the risotto. It was overcooked and tasted like a basic risotto with corn kernels mixed in. It just wasn't what we expected. Thankfully, the steak was so good that it completely made up for that disappointment. We skipped dessert because we were both completely full, but we'll definitely be back. I also wanted to mention that the service was a little slow at the beginning. Once our server got to us, though, she was friendly, attentive, and took great care of us. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to coming back.

You're not left wanting for food quantity or quality. Plenty of shrimp in the grits, for example. Server was very pleasant to talk to with a little Southern twang to her voice. Why not five stars: Flavor needs deepening. For example, in the South I'm used to seeing okra chopped and breaded before being fried. Maybe more oily that way, more carbs... but more flavor as a result. I had the pulled chicken mac, which was a bit smaller of a dish overall (a bit intentional on my part) - and while the cheese flavors run deep, the meat did not.
