My fiance and I recently had an engagement photo shoot with Joseph and it was amazing! Prior to the photo shoot we met for coffee and got to know each other. I found out he's from my hometown (a place no one knows exists). We had more fun than we expected we would and photos came out better than expected too...mainly because we had never had our photos professionally taken before and thought it wouldn't look natural. We were wrong! Joseph and his assistant made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process so the photos turned out great. Joseph was very responsive leading up to the day of the photo shoot and executed our vision for our photos very well. We initially had some ideas for fall foliage, but it's hard to find that in CA so we opted for a beach shoot and an ice cream shoot in downtown Laguna instead. It was a great decision! Where do I begin? What a nightmare working with this guy was. He was late to our appointment. He was rude during our family photo shoot. He tried to double charge me and I had to go to my bank to cancel one of them. To add to the terrible experience all of the pictures came out looking awful. Every photo was blurry. The lighting was off in every picture as well. He even sent me one with his thumb in the picture. Everything about Joseph was a joke. He gets a 0 for talent. A 0 for professionalism. He just seemed to be a lousy guy all around. He rushed through the shoot and was not open to any suggestions. I found out after the fact but this guy even made an inappropriate comment to my teenage daughter. If you are considering this guy run fast the other way as quickly as possible. You can find better photographers at the local elementary school. Surprised the guy didn't show up with a Fisher Price camera. He must be writing all of the yelp reviews on his own because this guy seemed to have zero experience. I would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy. The only reason I gave him 1 star was because it would not let me give him zero. read more
