Dr. Joe is the Best!!!! I have been a patient of his since 1982. The office is modern and clean. The staff is lovely, friendly and accommodating. They also make an effort to know you and your family. I have moved out of this state and over the years have lived in 5 different states. I still find calling Dr. Joe's office for dental work because I like the care I get. Dr. Joe keeps his standards high. He is an artist in the dental field. He even was surprised to see the crown he had made for me many many years ago still in perfect functioning condition. My entire family are patients of Dr. Joe...3 generations plus cousins and aunats! The staff is awesome; some have been there for over 20 years! There was a conversation amongst Dr. Elmassian's patients as to how far we each had traveled to see the doctor. Although my 1,534 miles from minnesota was the distance to beat. It seems I'm not the only one who is willing to travel miles to see an excellent dentist. The doctor's skills are top notch. I've had a crown, finished an implant, and had an extraction. All with results I couldn't be happier with. I am not greatly fond of having dental work...... And have encounter "other dentists" who were less than competent . I find Dr Elmassian's strait forward honest diagnosis extremely reassuring. He's one of the only doctors who has honestly said this tooth is worth spending money on , but not this tooth... This is why I travel so far to see him; simply I trust him. Not to leave out the doctors staff who are all so nice and very good at what they do. The entire dental teams skills are excellent. A quick add on today I had what was scheduled to be a quick check up on previously mentioned dental work..but while flossing a filling (not done by Dr Elmassian) ended up in my hand. The doctor was over booked but fit me in for a fix that highlights the inferiority of the previous filling. There is a reason I fly in from Minneapolis to see this dentist. He extracted all 4 of my erupted wisdom teeth with local anesthesia. I was numb within a few minutes, surprised how fast and easy the extractions were because I barely felt anything! Dr. Elmassian is one of the best dentists that I have been to. I have been to four dentists overall in my life. I am not a big fan of change but when changing to Elmassian this was a great one. He not only helps me but he does my entire family's teeth, and has done an amazing job keeping my smile great, because that is something that I do a lot (smile). He is very willing to work with you in getting your teeth cleaned and fixed up right away. Some dentists rather wait for the problem to get bigger before they fix it; but Dr. Elmassian is very proactive and smart about his procedures. Well, after officially having had my very first root canal yesterday, I feel compelled to write this review and send out a huge thanks to Dr. Elmassian! Now, in the past I always associated a root canal with one of the the most painful and dreadful experiences one can endure...BUT... after my PAINLESS and stress free procedure yesterday I am gleefully able to report that that is not the case at all with this dentist! I literally had a spring in my step after leaving his office, accompanied with a huge sigh of relief because what I thought would be a big ordeal wasn't a big deal at all...yippee!!! I also need to mention that I have been going to Dr. Elmassian for over a decade now and that Emily does the best job cleaning my teeth twice a year - and again with NO PAIN! I also had a bridge put in years ago on which he did a fabulous job, people always compliment me on my teeth :D! His staff have been with him for a very long time which says a lot, Charlene and Mindy are really nice too - overall a friendly "family like" vibe here where I always feel comfortable and well taken care of. I've seen a lot of dentists but this is the best place! Doctor joe and the staff makes you feel comfortable and I had absolute no pain. The staff is super friendly so with tools in my mouth they made me feel like I'm at home. Jackie deserves a raise such a hard working staff. I have been with Dr. Joe for many years now. He is by far the very best dentist I have ever been to! He is honest, always prompt and his staff is wonderful! I live an hour away from his Pasadena office and would drive as many as it took to continue to go to the most amazing dentist out there. He is so kind that if you have an emergency he will also go to his clinic to assist on his own personal family time. I have to also confess that I snore like crazy and stop breathing. Dr. Elmassian recently made me a snore guard and I finally realized I need this as he pointed out that the breathing that stops at night can literally kill me or age me years for my heart having to work hard to get those breaths that I am not taking. I can write a book about this man and how wonderful he is and I guarantee you, if you go to Dr. Joe you will never go to another dentist again. I have been to many dentists throughout the years for myself and family. I was never completely satisfied with the service, friendliness of the office or to be honest if they were being honest with me as far as what work actually needed to be done. After receiving one outrageous quote with many various procedures, I talked to a friend who recommended Dr. Elmassian. He eliminated several unnecessary procedures thus cutting the quote in half, and performed the needed work in a timely manner. He has since taken care of my family's dental needs for a few years now. I signed up for a Yelp account just to comment on my experience at Dr. Elmassian's office. My sisters Bella and Elma recommended Dr. Elmassian and I after my first visit, I knew my search for the BEST and MOST PROFESSIONAL dentist was over. I would never have to go through the daunting and costly experience of searching for the best. Dr. Elmassian is truly the most caring, knowledgeable and honest dentist I have ever encountered. For the past 25 years, I have spent money on useless, unnecessary crowns, and root canals I did not even need. I wish I had been introduced to Dr. Elmassian sooner. He does not twist your arm into getting the most expensive option for a certain procedure. He addresses all my concerns and thoroughly informs me of the pros and cons of any procedure I might need or want. Above all, he is trustworthy (if you are in need of 1 filling, he will not tell you that you need 5...he is honest). The staff is especially kind, and always attentive. They care about their patients and always address any concerns I may have. The dental hygienist is terrific. She explains everything clearly and is exceptionally caring. I can honestly say, I actually look forward to going to the dentist. The office is clean and parking is great. For the first time I found a dentist I can truly trust. Dr. Elmassian has been my family dentist for more than 25 years and I owe my bright smile and superb dental health to his expertise. His own smile comes with utmost professionalism and courtesy. He is always an active part of my visit, even when I am seen by a hygienist who cleans my teeth. I was fitted with a night guard years ago which has helped maintain the integrity of my teeth. He has taken emergency calls without hesitation. His office is cheery and he seems to have state-of-the-art equipment for examinations and procedures. My favorite part of the dentist experience is the quality of his office managers, Mindy and Cindy. Whether it's about insurance payments or appointment scheduling, their processes are efficient and accurate. "Dr. E", as I call him, is the best dentist by far. I really needed help attempting to locate a dentist for my adult son who lives in Pasadena. I tend to take some reviews with a grain of fried toothpaste, but after reading all the marvelous reviews Dr. Elmassian received, I knew I'd found the shiny molar in the mouth! Dr. Elmassian took us in under severe travel restraints from me; as I was getting ready to return to Colorado. Mindy, the front office manager flipped some teeth around, and got us in. My son not only received EXCELLENT dental care, but Dr. Elmassian also was able to provide us with an oral surgeon recommendations we will need in a few months. Until then, he cleaned my son horribly neglected son (kids LISTEN TO YOUR NAGGING MOTHERS), set about bleaching my son's teeth, gave a couple of smoking is bad for you mantras (Mom says thank you for that) and also fitted my son with a temporary partial until the oral surgeon can place the implants. All in all, Dr. Elmassian is a fantastic asset to the City of Pasadena. read more
