The restaurant has a nice vibe with the mural in the wall, tiled cut out window from the dining room to the bar, and the lights. Before the food came out the owner Joseph greeted the table which was very personable. The staff was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed all of the food. I like how the salmon was a thick piece that was cooked perfectly. I ordered the filet kabob but It tasted like a sirlon beef not filet mignon which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I'm not a huge fan of Mediterranean food but my husband loves it and said this place is top notch. It's super close to our home and has a very unique menu. My husband got the roasted lamb pita roll up and thought it was one of the best he's ever had. Rolling through on business. Sat at the bar hoping to move quickly since I was solo. Food was decent, lamb was better than decent, but shredded though it wasn't mentioned in the description. Service is what kills these places. I sat in the entry for a few minutes before I saw any sign of life, and when I did see the hostess, she seated everyone after me, before me. Weird, right? Should've left then. I went with my mom to lunch and we were excited to try a new Mediterranean restaurant. There is a pretty garden mural on the wall we were facing from our seats at the table. They have a bar area and there is outdoor seating. My mom and I shared a small hummus and pita, which was good. I prefer less tahini and more salt in my hummus but it was very traditional style and flavor. We both got the Greek salad with salmon and it was very good. Decided to try this place for dinner on our way to a football game in Chelsea. My husband had the cilantro lime shrimp which he declared fantastic. I had the chicken roll over rice in cream sauce. It comes with a generous amount of delicious buttery cream sauce that is akin to comfort in a bowl. So good I had to make myself stop eating it! Absolutely delicious! I ordered the feta and herb encrusted salmon. I requested the salmon be prepared rare to medium rare which isn't always easy to get right. But oh, it wasn't just right: it was perfect! The vegetables are seasoned to a perfect savory without being too salty. (Thank you for that!) The mashed potatoes were definitely a cut above average. The Greek side salad was fresh and delicious with some of the best homemade Greek dressing I've ever had. My one request and hope is maybe they will have some homegrown tomatoes on the salads in summer as opposed to the grocery store variety. (Or use grape tomatoes instead?) Also, did I get a hint of balsamic vinegar in the dressing? It has a richer, somewhat sweeter edge than other vinegars, so maybe. The flavor was uniquely delicious; and oh, can I buy it by the bottle?!? The service was excellent. The server stated the salmon is what her daughter always orders. First and last time here! We wanting to give it try because it was local. I had the lemon shrimp. The shrimp were over cooked and the lemon sauce was poured over my grilled vegetables. The potatoes tasted like they were just boiled. They were small and served whole with little flavor. My husband had the ribeye. It was was not a ribeye cut and was tough with no flavor. His potatoes were the same as mine. We spoke with Joseph and he said he would talk with the kitchen, but never came back to our table. This place is Chelsea's hidden gem! Heard great things about it from locals and tried it for the first time. I ordered the creamy stuffed chicken rolls which were tender, delicious and very filling. Wife got the buffalo chicken wrap and 5 year old got the grilled cheese panini with fries and pudding. We also got the Greek salads with homemade dressing which tasted great and fresh. This place is tucked away in a shopping center on Old 280 in Chelsea. It is family owned, and you'll probably see the owner (Joseph) in there most days delivering food to tables and refilling drinks. Joseph's Table Review We have been going to Joesph's Table for years and up until now been generally pleased. Unfortunately our experience last night- Valentines" - was extremely disappointing, Recognizing it was a holiday we had taken care to make a reservation. We showed up a few minutes early and were told by the hostess, who appeared very inexperienced, that our table was not ready. We understood and indicated we would wait at the bar. In response she got a "deer in the headlight" look on her face and told us she didn't think we could do that...apparently they didn't have a "dedicated bartender" on duty because he was having to "wait on tables". We waited for our table in the lobby. Two other couples arrived after us who also had reservations. My husband, a combat veteran who suffers from PTSD requested a table against the wall. We were finally shown to our table...in the bar area next to the kitchen... although there were tables open in the main dining room that would have met my husband's request. The other couples who arrived after us ...were seated at those tables... seems like requesting accommodation for a disability gets you the worst seat in the house. Considering the holiday we tried to make the best of it. Our "waiter" ended up being the bar tender who had been drafted into waiting tables- clearly he was not happy about it. It took an hour for our dinner to arrive -although it was pretty obvious the food had been previously prepared hours before. Throughout the night we observed the owner visiting with the guests -as he is known to do- he was even delivering complimentary chocolate covered strawberries- a nice touch. Unfortunately he never got around to us so we couldn't share our concerns with him directly. I guess he was too busy shutting things down. As we tried to enjoy our "burnt coffee" and dessert the staff were busy mopping the floors around us etc. making it clear we needed to leave. As I said we have previously enjoyed this restaurant and recommended it to our friends and family. Hoping this was just a one time failure. Not sure if we want to risk it again though. read more

I love Joseph's Table! Many of you may remember the Pita Hut on Hwy 280, then the Pita Hut in Chelsea (both were favorites among my family, friends, and of course, mine too!) Joseph's Table serves many of your favorites from the Pita Hut, and there are several new items, including salmon and a ribeye steak.
