I come here pretty often as the HPL hosts craft classes here usually the third Thursday morning each month. I always loved the ambiance of this place as it is not only very inviting, but they also seem to offer so many food and drink options. I came early to class this past Thursday so I could try some of the menu options finally. They had a summer drink menu, and I knew I had to try the Pink Drink. I also ordered a breakfast burrito. The pink drink I enjoyed, but the breakfast burrito I will not be getting again. It lacked flavor to me. My friend Linh ordered grits that looked good. My favorite coffee shop on 280!! The staff is always so sweet here. The inside is spacious with t different types of seating from sofas to tables. They have food and coffee. I rarely give a bad review but enough is enough. We've been coming to this place for a few years. The last 4 visits we have asked them to please toast the gluten free bread on "both sides"....Cashier types it in the system, so you would think the kitchen can follow Directions..Nope! Today we walked in and I said it very clear toast the gluten-free bread on both sides because the sandwich falls apart... once again we get it and it's not toasted. We will NOT be back anytime soon. I came here for a Hoover Public Library arts and crafts event and was pleasantly surprised at how cute and popular this place is! There are numerous and varied seating areas to accommodate different needs, including large spaces for hosting events and meetings. I had a honey latte and it was just ok. I didn't order any food items but they seem to be good because there were plenty of people eating. It's unfortunate that this is too far for me to visit on a regular basis. I sure wish the west side of Hoover had a Cafe 59. read more

Delicious and flavorful cup of coffee at the perfect temperature. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with plenty of different options to hang out with friends, get some work done or just stop in for a quick cup of coffee. I really appreciate that they stay open until 8p on most weekdays--especially since many coffee shops in this area close by 6. It's a good spot to study in the evening. The drinks are good, though they feel a bit standard and lack inspiration. I wouldn't say they use the highest quality ingredients, so if you're a coffee snob, you won't find anything extraordinary here. That said, I've never had anything that didn't taste fine. Do not get the matcha. One of my favorite things is the eclectic furniture inside. There are lots of cozy spots inside to camp out and do school. read more

This is hidden in a strip mall and I selfishly want it to stay hidden. Their coffee is fantastic. They have a nice sized menu and the food is really good and with appropriate portion sizes! The prices are super reasonable too! They also have an Amazon locker, a printing station and a satellite library. I did not investigate but I assume you can order books from the main branch and pick them up there. I don't know if this is a hidden gem or I just am out of touch for never having tried it but let me tell you this place has so much to offer. I went to the location in Lee branch near the movie theater and I was so surprised. It's huge and has a great atmosphere of making you just feel really relaxed. They have big tables too for large groups and have rooms in the back for parties possibly? A baby shower was going on when I was there. Plenty of space for parking and comfy unique seating. Enjoyed it as a day date with my husband then took my toddler back and they begged me not to get food to go but to sit at a cool table. Lots of people go to work and study. This is always one of my favorite sandwich spots. The pesto panini with tomato soup is a fall/winter favorite of mine.

They're really friendly and attentive and welcoming. The food is always fresh, the coffee is pretty good. The space is comfortable and accommodating for WFH. In an area where there aren't a lot of local businesses, this is a treasure. read more

I give 4 stars because the staff was wonderful! We had a big group, and they filled our orders quickly and without mistakes! Bravo! The atmosphere is great! Cool decor. Very clean. I took off 1 star because of the quality of the coffee. I ordered a breve. The first one tasted burned. Undrinkable. I took it back, and again, the barista was so nice and she made me another one. It was fine. Nothing extraordinary. It was also so dang hot that even after 20 min, it still burned my tongue! But The coffee is not LOCAL! So I can only assume that since your coffee is not local, it's kinda like every other big brand. Nothing beats the local roasters! Get some GOOD coffee (like Baba Java Coffee) and your place will be 5 stars! read more

I have been several times and the food was very good. The Southern Breakfast Sandwich is delicious! The bacon is always cooked with the perfect amount of crisp. The soup came with a cornbread pimento cheese muffin that was really good. They have a couple of special each day. Like a soup and a quiche. The inside is fairly large with lots of seating. There is always people sitting around on their computers, like a Starbucks. A great place to sit and visit with a couple of cozy couches. My one complaint is that the metal chairs they have at the tables are uncomfortable, hard and narrow. read more

I have several dietary issues. It is hard to find a restaurant that can work within my needs. I usually contact the restaurants about their menus and get the information I need before I go. The young lady who answered my message was so kind and helpful. She gave me several suggestions. When I arrived the men working the counter could not have been kinder. They listened and made all the necessary changes. My food arrived quickly and exactly as I ordered. I enjoyed my meal very much as did those who were with me. The dining room was very neat and clean. Looking for brunch, lunch, or coffee this is the place. The atmosphere here is phenomenal. Great inside and outside seating. They have an events room which can be rented as well. The food is Shirley made and excellent. Baked goods include the cookies we had today. The quiche is the best around. There is a book drop for the Hoover library and they are scheduling events here at the Cafe as well. Ding miss out on this experience. read more

This place is great! The breakfast is very tasty, I haven't been able to try the lunch items yet. I've tried coffees and teas and everything I've gotten has been wonderful. They have a lot of different flavors. The staff is super friendly, and it's pretty fast. They have a Hoover library pickup and return kiosk. They have a lot of space and a variety of seating options Indoors and out. Great for hanging out and reading a book, or working on a project on a computer. I've eaten here twice already! Breakfast bacon egg and cheese was perfection? Toasted white bread, a perfectly cooked egg, crispy bacon and gooey cheese. Yum. Went back for lunch several days later and had the tomato cheese pesto panini with fresh fruit. Again, delicious. A mist visit! read more
