He said we would have to do a new agreement. It took 4 months before he emailed me the agreement. At the time the audit was in the second stage and he was communicating with the examiner. He told me he needed to bill me for his conversations. I asked what happened with my deposit and he said it was all used up. I asked for an accounting of my funds that were used as per our agreement. He never sent them. A few months later I received correspondence from the IRS indicating the examiner had been trying to reach him and if he did not respond the agreement they discussed would be rescinded. I tried to contact/find him. I went to the local address for the company he worked for only to find out he had been let go 2 weeks before. No account had ever been opened for my case. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN! He left me hanging with a serious IRS Audit situation. I had to scuttle and find a new attorney. Very unprofessional! I know he did some work but I don't think he should have spent 19 hours which is what the deposit would have covered.
